Teeny tiny size, SUPER BRIGHT! I bought these as a stupid little add-on to an order of other USB items I'd wanted. A 5-in-1 pack is a great idea. I kept a few for myself, and gave some to friends just for grins.These lights can be plugged into a USB socket in either orientation to project light, since there are contact patches on both sides. Smart idea, DrOK.Handy to use with a USB backup battery or even a USB wall charger. They emit a very bright white light. In case of a power outage, or being stuck out on the road, or if you're a camper camping, this combo would make a make a great emergency light/lantern of sorts.They've been great for use as a makeshift flashlight. I have a USB extension cable that I plug one into, and use it for rooting around in the backsides of dark datacenter cabinets where ports are hard to find.The SMD LEDs on the beefy little circuit board might get cracked off. I wouldn't put them on a keychain in my pocket. Maybe on a lanyard in my backpack. I doubt they'd survive much abuse. 4You'll shoot your eye out kid! The 2 led version draws about .08 amps and both 3 led version draw about .14 amps so a common 2200 mAh 5 volt USB battery pack might run the 2 led one for roughly 24 hours and the 3 led one for roughly 12 hours.To differentiate among the offerings, the "2 LEDs No Switch" version is always on.The "3 LEDs Light Control" turns on in the dark and off in the light using a photo cell on the back, on the other side from the lamps, and has an adjustment screw to change light sensitivity, which I have not messed with. Note it also varies its own brightness based on how much light the cell gets, e.g. turning the back toward and away from a light source causes the lamps to dim and brighten respectively.The "3 LEDs Touch Switch" turns on and off by touching it on either side of the plated keying hole or just about anywhere on top of the unit, opposite of the USB plug part.These things are very bright so you do not want to shine it into your eyes or you will be seeing stars for a long time. I am not sure I would let a child handle one without adding a (3d printed?) diffuser of some sort and/or giving them guidance. Note to self, don't stare at bare bulbs, no matter how small. 5Four Stars Worked good. We use them as USB testers. Not really made for that.The USB light work good. But I don't think that they are designed for what we are using them for because the don't last but a couple of weeks (some more & less). I'm the Electrical Vehicles Systems Test Team Leader at General Motors Truck Assembly in Arlington TX. Where we build all the full size SUV's for GM. I bought your product in an attempt to find a better tool then we were currently using. We were using them to test power to the many USB ports on our trucks. There are 5 ports per truck. We test 3 (some are dbl. ports) Arlington is running 3 eight hour shifts 6 days a week. We build 415 units per shift. So while we were very happy initially worked great and were cost effective. Just didn't last very long (circuit boards) with constant insertion & extraction. I still use them for myself but couldn't get GM to purchase any more. Partly because after the initial success (my supervisors) ordered the longer ones that didn't work as well. So they're back to using USB snake lights. I have already reordered 2 packs for myself. If you have anything more sturdy & small (inexpensive )Please let me know.UPDATE: Atfer trying many other options The DORK micro USB may be what I get GM to purchase going forward. The price point & compact size out weight our durability issue in the end. I recommended this product at our staffings.Thank you Mark Oshiyama 4These are AWESOME!! They are small and SUPER BRIGHT!! MANY USES!!! I am an avid Shopper and researcher when it comes to products. I have tried 1000's of products like these and let me tell you this product by far hands down is the best!! What I love about it is that you never need to turn them on. These turn on when the USB has power to it. I use these in my car as a console light faced down. When I turn my car on they automatically turn on. These are perfect for what I use them for, therefore, I bought another set. They are bright but not as bright so they don't blind you. I love the fact that you can use both sides. I have mine faced down in the call. It lights up everything in my console, shifter and center console cup holders and key holders. I LOVE THEM!!! I rarely write reviews but I had to one for this product. 5Great solution for night lighting in small areas! This works great. It plugs into a USB port for power. I wanted to have it plug into the end of a USB cable, and got an adapter so cable has USB plug in to power source, and then I can place the microlight at a distance from the power source. I wanted the light in the cab of my truck, and wanted the light to be directed down to the floor board, to illuminate the caddy that holds the drinks, etc. on the floor. This is perfect. Low power consumption, micro light that provides significant illumination. Just plan HOW you are going to utilize this little device, and get your power supply cable ready, as well as double face tape, or whatever you are going to use to fix it in place. Recommend! 5Unique nightlight, plus other uses. These have worked very well so far. We use them in our extra portable batteries to do a discharge cycle, and to light up a couple of vases that don't look good with cords going into them. On the road, we plug them into a USB recharger and they make a bright nightlight. The LED is very bright using 2 LEDs. One photo shows the LED in the battery, the second inside a Fenton glass cat. It will run about 48 hours before the battery needs recharging. 5Ok lights, but limited. Their competitors are better for a little more money. The specs say they're dimmable, but the main description says they're not.They're not.Also, they're always on when they're plugged in. To turn them off you have to remove them from the USB port.They really lose out to their competitors who make the slightly longer rectangular little USB lights. You turn those on or off by stroking the sides, and dim or brighten them by holding the end - much more useful. And some of those brands have two different colors of LEDs on the same chip, so you can change the color. 3BRIGHT IDEA! MANY USES! I absolutely love these things. I bought a small "lipstick" type USB battery charger, and use these as a nice lightweight, long lasting camping light. I modded the charger with a milk carton which I cut down and molded like a sleeve which acts as a diffuser that slides up and down on the battery, so the light radiates in all directions. (*think huge glowstick) I attached a micro cord loop thru the hole, and the whole unit is light enough to hang while the usb stick is in place. (pic attached)The first set I bought were just "on" when you turn on the battery charger- and to turn off you have to unplug them, so I bought more of the touch on/off version as well. But still have many uses for this version as well.Pretty soon I'm going to have these things all over the place. SO COOL! 5Great little lights for USB ports; reversible but not dimmable This is a pretty great idea in my opinion. These USB LED lights are small, inexpensive and quite bright... so bright that you wouldn't want to look at the LEDs directly or you will start seeing spots. The light quality is pleasant as well... they are whiter than "warm white" but not so bluish as to be unpleasant.Mine came in a small plastic bag wrapped in bubble wrap.I also really like that you can insert them into USB ports either way because there are electrical contacts on both sides of the lights.Testing these with my USB power meter, I tested about .08 to .09 amps at about 5 volts. The lights do get warm but not hot.I think they are great for sticking into computers (back or front), TVs, USB chargers, or any electronics with a USB port to add a little light somewhere.NOTE: I was sent a free product sample for review. I was not paid or told what to write. 5Fun lights and being small they can be useful I love these little lights. Considering the cost, I really bought them as toys. I plug them into a usb extension cable and then I can light up places from inside. I did find it useful at work one day when I paired it with a Li 2300mAh portable power pack and turned off my iPhone light to take some pictures. The object I wanted a picture of was reflective and the iPhones light just bounced back blindingly. Also I could move the light around to pick the best angle, you cant do that with the phones light.I also plugged four into a usb hub that was plugged into my Li battery and they all came on. I have no idea what I would use it for though but it is bright.I decide to get the plain ones because I didn't see the need for a dimmer and I wouldn't want to leave them plugged in case they turned on by accident.I actually leave one plugged into my DROK USB meter to stop things from going in the uncovered end of it. 5
