Customer Reviews

A+ customer service. Lock replaced after two years of use. ***Update lock broke after two years but was quickly replaced free of charge by company. A+ customer service***Originally purchased in Novemember 2015.The lock stopped working July 2017. It would make a grinding sound and not fully disengage. I didn't expect much but thought I would reach out to customer service before upgrading to a schlage. This was slightly annoying as the phone number was just a recording directing you to their website. The website has a warranty form that ask for the serial # etc. I recieved an email response the next day and received just the back side of a new lock in the mail within 3 days. Once installed the lock would not accept a code. I completed another warranty claim and this time I was contacted asking if it would be ok for milocks to replace the entire lock and provide a return shipping label for the two broken locks. 3 days later an entire new lock was received which worked perfectly.Looks great like it came with the house. So far no issues although as other reviews stated the buttons do Give concern as they are very rigid and protrude. 4Good locks no warranty I purchased 2 of these locks to put on our bath house at our campground. We had people coming in off the street and using the bath house and leaving a mess. After I installed the locks all of the messes seemed to go away too.We expanded the bathhouse adding 2 more bath rooms. I also ordered 2 more milocks for the new addition. 1 of the locks didn't work out of the box. You could hear the motor run but it wouldn't unlock the door. Meanwhile one of the other original door locks stopped working. I tried to contact the company to no avail.I ordered 2 locks to replace the 2 locks that were not working. The new locks I ordered work perfectly but I have 2 locks that don't work and haven't been able to get any answers for the warranty. If you order the milocks and get a good one they work great. If you get one that doesn't operate properly it seems like you have to "eat it" and order another.I would've rated these a 5 star if their warranty department actually existed. 4Serves its purpose, no keys need copying. I needed a way for visiting nurses and neighbors to look after my aunt. This was easy to replace and allowed me to give each person a code and remove it when I needed to lock them out. If at first you press a button and do not hear a beep, press again. Batteries were lasting 2 months until winter hit. Sub zero temps in the garage made this beep low battery. Do yourself a favor and buy Energizer Lithium Ion AA batteries on Amazon. They work great in sub zero temps, and I hope to update how long they last compared to the regular AA's. 5Hit or Miss After having had wonderful success with my Schlage keyless entry for my main front and back doors I wanted to do the same for my bedroom doors, as I do short term hosting and people do lose keys. So, the build quality comes across as somewhat amateurish, as if the company is still figuring out how to spec it to their factory overseas.I have five of these in the house, including my own bedroom, and the breakdown is: my bedroom works fine, except for in addition to my code the numbers "00" also unlock it (um, not good). Two bedrooms are fine, though it (and the rest) tend to eat batteries for breakfast. Really, they need to be changed monthly; probably because there is a motor turning things whereas the Schlage just "allows" the unlocking action and the end user still turns everything. Another bedroom seems inconsistent on its reliability, in terms of not fully operating on the motor, and one final room the motor is stuck, it won't turn the locking barrel all the way, basically not working for its essential purpose; to note this one was in its box for some time, not sure if it got banged around, but still.I have gotten panicked lock-out calls from roommates with enough regularity that I just give them the key and advise them to treat it like a regular locking door knob, and to never lock it without the key on hand. So, basically having said that I could just get one of the many regular locking interior knobs available at any hardware store.Lastly, the website and youtube channel are woefully inadequate. There is no place to get a PDF of the instructions or even the code setting information (as of last time checking) and the Youtube channel videos seem to only underscore the "hobbyist" vibe this product seems to convey. In all, if I had it to do again I wouldn't purchase this product. I can't speak to any other interior locking knob product as I have only used these; but these seem to be not ready for prime time. 2You get what you pay for... My grandma use to say... Got the lock over the weekend, became very excited and was looking forward to putting it on. I'm a little late to the game but I am catching on pretty fast when it comes to the home improvement phase in a mans life. So I get the box I open it to read the instructions so I get everything started to find out that the key pads not working. So I change the batteries still not working! So I go back to the instructions and so I give the company a call. 1800 goes straight to voicemail. *Perfect*I call 5 times betwen 10Am and 4PM to get the same voice mail, I call and leave 3 messages and it sis 1:50AM and I still have not heard from them at all.. I am getting a new lock hopefully not from this company because customer service for me is really important.. Disappointed! 1Extra piece of mind! This lock is great!Sometimes we forget to close the garage door, or we need to keep the garage door a little bit open so our outside cat can get in the garage to keep warm. I always worried that, if someone got into our garage and we forgot to lock it that we would have a hairy situation on our hands. We no longer need to worry whether or not we remembered to lock the door from the garage that comes into the house because it locks automatically- saving many worries and headaches in the morning or when we go out of town. The buttons do wear down a little bit after a while, especially if all the entry codes use a specific number. All 3 codes on our door include a 1 and after a year, the 1 key is a little flaky. Changing the codes up is easy, so it's not a huge deal. This lock has worked consistently for over a year now, always auto-locking when the door has been opened; it still has the original set of batteries in it and is still going strong.I have another (more expensive) auto lock in the house and it does not work as well or consistently as this one. I will re-buy this one again for other doors in the house. 5I have a lot of keypad locks and love them but this one is utter garbage This knob has a huge design flaw. There is one thing holding it to the door and that is a small screw at the top of the keypad. When you pull on the door knob (as one does to open a door) the whole thing bends away from the door, the batteries pop out and the damn thing locks itself as the default. I had to pay my cleaning gal for 4 hours of work that wasn't done because she couldn't get into the house because this thing fell to pieces 2 days after install. I have a lot of keypad locks and love them but this one is utter garbage. 1Buttons fall off This product is functions great except there is one major problem,I ordered this and one of the buttons some how came off on its own. It looked bad because it was missing a buttonso I ordered the same product again and it happened again about a month in! a button will end up falling off eventuallyso its better to invest money in a higher quality door lock. 1Great Concept, cheap componenets and flawed design I really wanted to like this lock, I really did.The pro's were:Easy installationThe ability to use a regular key if the batteries diedRoughly the same size knob as a regular door handleUnfortunately after a few months of owning this, certain numbers have gone out completely. It started out as the illuminated pad not working, then certain numbers only working after hitting the unlock button once and now I come home to find it completely dead on the top half for numbers. Thankfully the key still worked.I'm not sure it's worth my time to try to get a replacement as it seems to be cheap construction and will most likely happen again. I think the frequency of seeing issues depends on how much you use it, I used it for a bedroom door which was only used once or twice daily, so I imagine on a more busy entryway you would see problems sooner.Look for another product as this one might lock you out if it fails. 1Do NOT buy. Stay away. Do not buy. I had a terrible experience with this product. Lock from the inside is hard to open. Customer thought he was stuck in the bathroom. Employees had to call the fire department to come take off the door. Crazy! Also very difficult to set up code. We've been trying for weeks and it just keeps beeping. Don't waste your money. 2
