    Love them. durable Love them. durable, don't move around. Color matched the Home Depot toilet that said Biscuit. Turns out HD's idea of biscuit is really off white. Well this was the best match I could find. No issues. even had several large parties and its held up fine. 5Poor quality, plastic pins broke within weeks of normal use making seat un-repairable and unusable. Poor quality. Never had a toilet seat break before let alone break within the first two weeks of buying the seat. The plastic pins that hold the plastic screws which are used to secure the seat to the porcelain base broke within a few weeks of normal use. You basically have to order a whole new seat because you can't repair those plastic pins. Would not recommend. Do yourself a favor and pay a bit more and get a better quality product. 1then the back which is to make it easy to clean started coming separated from the base It worked well for about 6 months, then the back which is to make it easy to clean started coming separated from the base, so we have to keep pushing it back in the hole. I think I'd rather the older version that you screw in place. 3Back Design. Seat will crack! The first one cracked in half. There is a design flaw. The two pads on the bottom of the seat are set back too far. They should be moved forward or two more added toward the front. When I received the new seat, I removed the two pads front it and installed them on the new seat giving the seat the support it needs. Bad design. Buy another brand. 1Best Toilet Lid on Planet Let me tell you. At first I was skeptical about about an amazingly priced item. But this thing has superb written all over it. Well worth the price. Fit better than a unit 5x it's price. Amazing product. 5Doesn't Stay Mounted to the Bowl I've bought several similar Mayfair seats (I replace my seats about once every three years). I have had issues in the past with the seats not staying tight on the bowl, but I could almost always retighten the hardware and continue to use the seats. When it came time to order another replacement, the new STA-TITE version of the seat caught my attention. I thought this updated version would eliminate the need to constantly retighten the plastic bolts to keep the seat from moving from side to side. I bought the STA-TITE seat and installed if per the manufacturer's instructions, but after just a couple of days of use one of the hinges kept popping up off the mounting hardware. After just a month it's become unusable, lifting away from the connecting bolt every time someone sits on it. The seat is now out with the trash... very disappointing. 1Poor Finish - it is not durable at all! Looked nice right out of the box, solid construction, and matches perfectly with a vintage late 80's silver toilet. However, the finish is not at all durable. I've had it installed for about 3 months. After about one month of use, one night I noticed that my hubby had splashed some urine on the underside of the seat. I grabbed a Lysol wipe to gently wipe/clean it off and, much to my horror, the silver paint came off with it! I mean, it's a toilet seat, right, so a spot of urine should not dissolve the paint, right?! It's happened a few more times since, so, now, my seat is silver with white spots on the underside of the seat. It looks terrible and unsanitary, and I'm embarrassed to have anyone over because they'll see it, but what's even worse is that this is the only round seat available in the silver color match I need, so I am (yes, right now) ordering another of the same seat. I'm trapped! I think, this time, I am going to try to have it professionally clear-coated before I install it - maybe that will help protect the finish. I am deeply dissatisfied with the finish quality! 2STA-TITE Does Not Stay Tight I bought Mayfair seats for a long time because they were well made. However, Mayfair has lately been experimenting with proprietary plastic mechanisms to hold the seat to the toilet instead of using conventional bolts, and those experiments have made their seats worthless. Their previous mechanism tended to let the seat twist off. They claim that their latest mechanism, STA-TITE, does not let seats to twist off (perhaps to convince those of us with bad experiences with their previous mechanism to buy their seats again). However, after 4 months, I had a seat start popping off a plastic bolt (and rotate around the other bolt). I recently replaced it with another Mayfair seat bought from Bed Bath and Beyond, and it started popping off a plastic bolt after less than a week.Junk. Even though I was a loyal customer, I will no longer buy Mayfair toilet seats. 1Great deal We rent, so I really didn't want to spend too much on this project. I just knew I had to get rid of this disgusting seat we had. I really liked the idea of a black seat and decided to go for it. First if all, it came well packaged and without any damage. Fairly light, too. It Does however but feel like one of those super cheap plastic seats. I was also surprised by how easy it was to install. I added pictures for the mechanism. As stable as that if a standard seat. Definitely wiggle free. It's been on the only toilet in the house for two weeks visited by three full size humans and no damage I can tell and no wiggling either. Fit perfectly in the standard size and was installed by a blonde female who has no idea about this stuff.Very glad I went for it and just decided to see how it would turn out! 5Locks in place I hate shifting seats. I bought same brand for downstairs a number of years ago and really liked it - and finally got this for upstairs. Locks in place. I'm 76 at put it on myself. Need 5/8 wrench. The print on the instructions could be larger. But NO SHIFTING. 5
