Customer Reviews

Best case I ever got I had 5 iPad 2 cases and none of them fitted my needs they were too heavy or the Smart Cover flap was annoying and in the way too much but when this case arrived it looks super nice and has a classy look and it's got great features I liked the hand strap a lot and the sleep/wake function works excellent this is the best case I ever got other websites offer this beautiful case for 49.99 but I got this one for 19 dollars thanks to Amazon also another thing this case does not make the iPad heavy it adds only a little weight and not to bulky at all nice and pretty thin also great protection on how it looks the only one flaw for me was opening the cover but ill get the hang of it since I barely got it. One more thing I noticed I got their newest one It has an elastic strap so the front cover stays onto back when you put the hand strap that way I won't fall when you move your hand aroundOVERALL: I recommend this awesome case. 5Does not seem to fit the iPad 4th generation. Update: It gets better I purchased this case for my iPad 4th generation after going through the myriad options on Amazon. I received it today, and have to say it is quite nice. The materials are good, and the build quality appears to be a notch about many of the cheap products I've seen. The problem is, it just doesn't fit right. The case appears to be just ever so slightly too narrow. With the iPad fully inserted, the far left edge hangs a bit off the edge into the spine. This causes the top cover not to line up properly. This in turn causes problems with the clips on the cop and bottom of the case that are meant to clip onto the iPad and hold the cover in place. The bottom clip will snap in eastily, but the top clip absolutely will not snap into place unless you forcibly bend and contort it into place.I've contacted Marware support about the issue, and hope to hear back soon. I'll update when I do, but, for now, I would avoid this case if you have a 4th generation iPad.Update 12/12/12: I did get a response from Marware. They claimed that my issue wasn't a known problem, but agreed to send out a new cover. In the interim, I noticed that my existing cover was beginning to loosen up a bit. After a few days, the pressure needed to close the case had diminished greatly. I did finally receive the replacement, and it does seem to fit marginally better than my original did out of the box. Unfortunately, the replacement has other build issues that the first did not. The replacement has a great deal of extra material sticking out around the stitching. It makes the cover feel very poorly built. In the end I decided to keep my original cover. The stitching on it is much cleaner, and it has loosened up enough that I don't have issues opening and closing it now as I did initially.I will say that I do like the case. It is light, looks good, and provides very good protection. It's unfortunate that build quality does seem to be a bit of an issue. I'm raising my initial 2 star review to a 3 star, which is probably more like 3.5 stars. The truth is, even with the Marware case's flaws, I've not found an iPad case that I like any better. 3Excellent product. Good protection and it looks nice. I recently purchased this product for a second time. And I did that because I think this is a quality product. I had previously purchased the same model but in the carbon fiber version and I thought that was a great item. The only reason I purchased a new cover, this time in the CEO style, is because after a couple of years of use, this item had become a bit ratty. Also, but equally important is that I had managed to drop the Ipad on a corner a few times. This cover saved the Ipad with the sufficient padding on the corner prices, but it also appeared I busted the inner tab after dropping it a few times.Absolutely no complaints. I use my Ipad constantly for work and personal use and the cover (both previous and current versions) and they provide good overall protection and it looks very nice. The CEO cover has white stitching in a large panel type design on the front and along the edges on the rear. The item looks very nice. On the inside, the cover is held VERY securely by the tabs running along the top to protect the corners and the edge on the outside. This is a quality item and I recommend it for Ipad users. I do caution the reader that I have NO experience with the Ipad Air so I have no idea if this will fit that version. 4Garbage. Peels apart. I previously bought this exact product 4 years ago for my kid. After 3 years it showed very tiny material separation at the joints. I felt 3 years was a good lifespan, so I bought another. The pictures attached shows what it looks like after 3-4 months of use, the skin is peeling to bits. The product quality has drastically changed since I bought the 1st time, this unit is now garbage. It would be excellent if they could just get their skin material in check. 1Good protection, tight fit, hard to open. Update: Aparently I was wrong. The case cracked my screen today while closing it. Almost too tight was too tight which caused my screen, which I previously replaced due to a drop to crack after 3 days of use. DO NOT BUY THIS CASE FOR AN IPAD 4th generation. As other users have stated, it does not fit appropriately. If you make it fit, it will damage your iPad.---------------------------------------I have an iPad 4th generation and the case is almost too tight. It fits, but it is not easy to open, close or pivot forward onto the stand. It is fairly sturdy and offers good protection for the slim-ness of the case itself. The corner edges wrap around the corners of the iPad in a unique way that should protect it from minor drops and fall. I dropped my iPad with my previous leather case and the screen shattered and it put a nice dent In the corner or my iPad. I replaced the screen and bough this case for better protection. It is sort of heavy but offers good protection. If the latch and pivoting corners didn't require prying to open and close, I would like it a lot better. 1Fits iPad 2nd Generation Fine I was hesitant to purchase in case this wouldn't fit the iPad 2nd Generation but in my opinion it fits just fine. Prior to this I was using the Smart Cover with an InCase plastic backing but after my second InCase backing started breaking I decided to up my game. This is a very sturdy case. It definitely has some mass/bulk to it so if you're looking for something that will keep things light this is not the case for you. The two viewing angles that the case provides are perfect. The case gives you access to all the ports and buttons. I am very satisfied. 5Almost there, should use magnets instead of top clips There is a lot to like about this case but there is one part of it that was so poorly thought out as to make me almost regret buying it. First, the things to like about it.1) Solid construction2) Easy to access buttons and switches3) Hand slide holder. This is one of the main reasons I purchased this case. I find that most other cases make it extremely difficult to hold the iPad without accidentally touching the screen. I do wish I had one that went the opposite direction as well. This strap makes it easy to hold and view while in portrait mode but in landscape it doesn't help.4) Great stand angles. These are much better than most because the steeper angle means less ceiling light reflected onto the screen. Now the problems. There are only a few but one really doesn't make sense to me.1) The camera opening is slightly off center.2) When the iPad is propped in the lower stand angle it has a tendency to easily slide out of that slot.3) This is the one I've been referring to. The case lid has three "clips" that secure the lid to the iPad when you close it. These make the lid harder to both close and open. In fact, they make it much harder. Here is the part that makes this so poorly thought out. Since both the iPad and the case have magnets in them, why why why do we even need these clips? They seem to be completely worthless and unnecessary to me. There are a ton of iPad cases, including Apple's own smart covers, that have absolutely no problem keeping the case lid closed using only these magnets. So what purpose do these clips serve aside from making the case harder to use?I really wish someone from Marware would take a look at this and let me know why they went this route. Without this problem this case would be nearly perfect. 3not for ipad with retina display (4th generation) The marware CEO hybrid case is an excellent quality case with good protection and functionality. However, I bought this for my 4th generation Ipad with retina display. The ipad 4 is slightly thicker compared to the ipad 3 or ipad 2. You can verify this on the apple website. The marware CEO hybrid is specifically fit to the other ipads. My ipad 4 was too tight for this case. I was afraid that the edge of the front screen would scratch because of the tight clips holding it place as well as the cover whenever you try to close it. Marware should not have advertised this case for the 4th generation ipad. I'm willing to wait a little bit longer for a better fitting case for the ipad 4. DON'T BUY THIS CASE IF YOU HAVE A 4TH GENERATION IPAD. 2Yep...Does what it says it does. We cracked our IPad with the last cover when my 3 year old dropped it. She is not a careless one either as she knows even at her young age the importance of caring for these items. Otherwise she doesn't get to utilize it. I won't mention the brand but it is a popular one. This one is light, covers edges, lacking in the other one, and does all the brand namer does. 1/2 the price, are there any other questions? I saw this while searching for a new cover. This was rated highly by Geeks, not the Geek squad but the real Geeks out there. It was a little scuffed when it came in a spot and would be sold not as new but for what I paid and the improvement on safety for a several hundred dollar IPad, who cares. I did not even bother saying anthing about it to them it was so inconsiquential in the bigger picture. My daughter will have stickers all over the cover in a week anyways...lol...Plain Jane looks on the one I purchased but I'm all about saving money on the back end of replacing another IPad needlessly. Highly recommend this before it costs the price of your more popular named brand. Pay for the quality, not the name. 5Does not fit the new iPad As much as I love this case, I had to return it since it does not fit the new iPad as advertised! Company should really review the complains (since there are quite a few) and change the description. I tried this case on iPad 2 and it fit perfectly. But as others stated, new generation iPad is slightly thicker, and it's enough to make this case useless, since it simply won't fit into the groves. I sent the first order back since I thought perhaps I got the wrong case, replacement didn't solve the issue. Even if you manage to wrestle it under the latches, the front flap for the screen won't close all the way. It's an impressive case, I loved it for the iPad 2. Unfortunately, it is not for all products. I wish Marware would look into their description more carefully. It would save them time, money and negative reviews for a good product. 2
