Customer Reviews

Works great. Easy to install. I love this screen door! It was so easy to install. Another reviewer said to apply the tape first but I followed the instructions that case with it, which was to stick the velcro onto the screen then tape it to the door. Easy peasy.I had it up in less than 10. The magnets work great so far, only time will tell. I'm hoping this will solve my fly problem in the summer. This is meant for French doors but I used it on my sliding glass door. Works fine as long as I open the door all the way. 5Great screen. Nice to have some air coming in! The screen is working well so far. It was easy to put up and fits the door perfectly. It still lets the light in too.I was a tad miffed that nowhere on the description was the information that the middle of the screen has to set a bit higher than the edges. Since we don't have that clearance I was a little hesitant to fix it to the frame, but I bit the bullet and did it. As it turned out, the bottom quarter of the screen would not meet. I fixed that by adjusting the velcro on one of the sides at the bottom so it now meets. The pooches took about 2 and a half seconds to figure it out! No problem there. 4Worked well but then got a random tear EDIT: I'm leaving my original review below, but the snag from before has slowly morphed into a full tear. I'm going to order something to repair it but it's still frustrating that it would turn into that after completely not being touched. Furthermore, I originally had this review as 3 stars, and the company messaged me to ask if I would make it 5 stars if they gave me a full refund. I said no, because my review was a reflection of my honest opinion and I didn't want to change it in exchange for money. They said it was understandable, but asked if I would consider changing it without a refund. I found that REALLY problematic, so I've dropped my review to 1 star for both the issue with the tear and the bad experience with the customer service. So be aware of that--I'm wondering if any of the 5-star reviews on this product are only there because the company asked them to change it.Had this for about six months, through summer, fall, and 2 winter snowstorms so far. It works pretty well and fits our weirdly sized door, so far I haven't seen it peeling up on the edges where the adhesive is, and the magnets in the middle are secure, but also come apart easily when our 8-pound dog pushes on them. However, I've noticed a couple places where it maybe got snagged on something, six feet up, and there are holes. So I'm not sure where those came from because neither my dog nor I are that tall, but just be aware that this might not be so secure on the actual screen portion itself. 1Better than the rest! I've ordered magnetic screen doors before. I have ordered one every three months. I have 10 dogs that are really hard on these doors. The constant in and out is tough wear and tear. This particular door promised heavy duty magnets and strong material. I was skeptical. I ordered it anyway, because I have to have one. It is made of fiberglass instead of flimsy lace material. The magnets are larger and more heavy duty than previous doors I've ordered. The door itself is larger than previous doors. This product is a higher quality for sure.I live in the desert/outback and the winds out here are 10-30 mph most days and gusts of 40-60 mph some days. No magnet can deliver under those conditions. I ordered rolls of Velcro and sewed them on top of the magnetic opening. This secures the doors and the wind doesn't blow them open, but my bullies can still go in and out. The air flows freely through the door, but the majority of pests stay outside. Last summer, I had 100-300 flies in my cabin each day. This summer, so far, I deal with less than 50. That is a huge improvement. The worst of the pests are the flesh biting flies! This door is amazing! The door comes with everything you need for install and the company sent an email before the door arrived with helpful installation and care tips.(In the picture provided I left the previously purchased door up behind this product. You can see how it gaps and how flimsy it is for comparison). 5I like it and I think it will work nicely. So far so good. I installed this today and it seems to be functioning as designed. My opening was 36 inches wide and my door jam was only 37 inches. I ordered the 38 inch wide screen and so it has a bit of slack. you can see in my pictures I had to bunch the top a little bit, but the extra slack at the bottom is a good thing. It also goes down a little below the threshold, but again I think this will actually be better. This is a side door out of my garage that I like to keep open when I'm in the garage, so this will work great I think. 5Much improved over old version! Modified install We purchased the old nylon striped version of this last year (same brand) and this new version is quite an improvement from the one we purchased last year! This one is a clear view, much like a standard screen. The old version was nylon and not only faded but you didn t have a clear view through it. I also like that this one is fire resistant as it is near our patio fire pit.Last year, we used the Velcro method. These French doors get full western, high altitude, high desert sun and so we decided to do like a previous reviewer did and purchased washers and screws to adhere it this time. The adhesive for the Velcro lost it s sticky last year and when we repainted our house we had to sand all of the sticky off the door trim before repainting! It was messy! It also took some of the paint off (which needed to be repainted anyhow mind you). Also, because our house is stucco, the trim is thinner because of the stucco wrapping over part of the trim. Because of this, we have about an inch narrower French door trim to trim. So, the left side of the screen I actually folded over once before adhering with screws and washers! All in all, very happy with this purchase and hope to get 2 seasons or more out of it and would repurchase again!I also like the washer and screws method because I think it has a clean look!*****note***** creases were fresh out of the box. Creases fall out after a few days*****Thanks for reading my review and hope it helps! 5Great Product! Product came full of holes. It looked used and no velcro was included to attach to window. Poor quality assurance. I was recently contacted by a MAGZO representative. First and foremost they offered an apology for the mishap. They graciously and kindly offer a replacement free of charge, isn't that nice? Once I receive item I will update my review to reflect product after install and subsequent use.Update:I did receive my replacement for free. I installed it according to manufacture's instructions. I am very happy with product so far, it has kept out all those pesty bugs. 5Not exact measurements, but nice This seems to be fairly well-made. I can tell you that it is not the exact dimension given. I knew I would have to shorten it, so that is not an issue. But, it was not exactly 62" wide (and you cannot widen it, or make it shorter for that matter). That is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. I worked it out, but on something like this, it needs to be what they say it is. Mine is now skimpy...in other words the velcro barely hits the edge of the door jam. I thought it would be a little short at 62", but it is 61.25" and that was a problem for me.I also wish they made these with white velcro. I would pay extra for that. Many doors and door jams are white, while very few people have black doors. It would really almost disappear if the velcro strips were white. Still, my dog loves it and I love being able to leave my French doors open. In case you are wondering if the opening being at the middle, where the French doors meet, will be ok, it works for us. I was wondering.about that. I can open when one door is open....you just have to use your hands to open it, rather than walking right through. 4low quality product At the beginning, it worked ok. But the mesh started showing holes here and there after only 2 months of installation. Contacted the seller, and was told that it's "man-made destruction". Bottom line, low quality product without any warranty assurance. 1Great idea and kind of functional Great idea and kind of functional, which two flaws: 1st the glue on the velcro wont stand up the heat of direct sun. It melts and the thing falls off the door frame. Thank God for staples!!! It doesn't open the full height of the door. It's fine if you're 5'1"' but I'm 6 foot and it's hard for me to go through, short and narrow opening. 3
