these solar christmas lights are awesome! I've had them for about 3 months and ... these solar christmas lights are awesome! I've had them for about 3 months and they are still just as awesome in the snow as they were with a lot of sun. I have them inside of my hot tub shed and the solar box is on top of the roof. It has been covered in snow and still holds a charge. I turn them off between uses, but I have forgotten a few times, but they still work-every time. They are not too bright, but just right to look twinkly like stars! They came nicely packaged and I have had no issues with the quality. 5NOT WORTH IT DO NOT BUY THEM! Had the problem with lights as other customers have described. These lights were only operational for less than a month. The lights furthest from the solar panel would get dimmer until some were not lighting at all, and finally about 2 days later the entire stand failed to light. They are a complete waste of money, if you have any other option, do not purchase purchase solar lights from this manufacturer. I have cheap path lights that came from Harbor freight that work better and longer than this trash. 1DOA Bought TWO of these, tried charging both up for several days and no light. Not even a slight twinkle. Going back from whence it came. 1Get a plugin LED string, added cost of solar not worth it unless you can't get power to where you're hanging these. The first thing you'll notice is how thin the wiring is. Do NOT yank on the string or you will break it. I had to repair my strand while putting it up, and while I'll admit I was not being gentle, a normal light strand would not have have ripped apart. Also, these seem to have great variation in quality. I purchased four of these, and one of the strands new could only hold a charge for about an hour, and the others all started having dramatically shorter lives within a couple of weeks. I live in Pasadena during a historic drought, so getting light isn't an issue, just don't count on these lasting longer than a month.However, they do work, and if you just want to have them for a single season, they'll do the job. That said, unless getting power to what you're putting these on is a major challenge, I'd recommend just getting normal plugin LED's. They take a tiny amount of power, and I highly doubt you'll ever recoup the added cost of the solar over a normal strand on your electric bill because they are so efficient. These are also harder to put on a tree because you can't strand them together like you can normal lights. 3Gorgeous, not gaudy. Gorgeous, not gaudy. Light lasts all night in sunny California. String was plenty long enough for a very large potted ficus outside our bedroom window.Hubby put these in the tree after taking down the holiday lights. He balked at the price when we bought the first box, but we liked them so much we bought six more boxes. We plan to redecorate the very large potted plants around the back patio to retain the twinkly wonderland he created during the holidays.One thing I like most about these lights is that they are much more subtle than classic twinkle lights, so the yard doesn't look like a restaurant patio. We bought the warm white color.The drawback to the subtlety is that if you are looking for something to match a twinkle light, this is not it. But we wanted something much softer, so we were very pleased rather than disappointed. It just depends on your application and expectations.I have read on other reviewers' feedback that if you have a problem with the product, just contact the seller, and they are supposed to be very responsive. 5Way back in the year 2014... I purchased these in 2014 yes, that long ago. Why am I back? Because they JUST finally died and I want to get the exact same ones again. They survived three moves and being packed up in a box for a year. I don t expect solar lights to last insanely long, but these we re awesome. They re also super long. 5Great price Love these lights. Have ordered before as decorations in our solar backyard, unfortunately our Arizona sun takes its toll on the wires. But they lasted about 10 years (with a couple battery changes of course over that many years) so I ordered another set to replace the old ones. These are great! 5Awesome product! Will buy more each year Awesome product! Will buy more each year. Have bought two so far. Generous string of tiny solar lights! Have HUGE two tier deck off living room. Looks like a BEAUTIFUL fairy land at night. Because the string is dark green it disappears in plant during day, very tough and light weight. If they don't light well, I.e. blink or get dim, move solar collector to better position or it's simple a spot receiving too much light at night. Also put them on an arbor. Talk about pretty! Quality, price and effect well worth cost which is also perfect. 5They Look Really Pretty I bought the clear lights. I have five trees in my front yard that I wrapped these lights around. I like that you can either have a steady light for yard and garden lights or twinkling for Christmas. They were delivered really quickly too so we have them in time for Christmas. They are perfect for garden lights. It's like seeing little stars on the trees. The price was reasonable so I was happy that I could afford them. They are the small LED lights and not the larger versions so the word "fairy" is appropriate. 5the internal rechargable battery is hardwired Why is the rechargeble battery is hardwired inside the unit or the power wires are soldered on the + & - side of the internal battery. Would it be nice if you could change the rechargeable battery without unsoldering the power wires of the unit . I woul have given you a higher review ratings for this product, however please explain to me what I am asking above: why is this unit designed to where the internal AA rechargeable battery was hardwired /the polarity wires + & - are solderedon the internal rechargeable AA battery. Or was this paticular unit I received was overlooked during production. 3
