    These are dangerous, do not order, do not put in child's room. I never write one star reviews, but I had to in this case. I really loved this lamp at first that I bought a second one a week later. It was so inexpensive and compact and I really liked the tray that came with convenient little trays at the base. However, only a few days into owning these lamps, the base that holds the bulbs in place popped out so that the bulbs were no longer affixed into the center of the lamp shade but dangled by the cord making the bulb rest against the shade instead of hold steady in the center without touching the shade. I was annoyed, but it wasn't a deal breaker because I thought that I could just readjust the shade and make it point straight up so that the bulb could just rest in the center. But when I tried to use the lights, the bulb would inevitable fall against the shade at some point. The bulbs burn so hot that they burned against the shade and warped the plastic until they were misshapen and burned. A hole was even burned into the bulb itself. I'm afraid these lamps could cause a fire or some other kind of damage or injury. See the photos. 1The Pink Lamp The lamp fits perfect on my daughters desk and it's the final touch in completing her little office space. She really loves the little compartments on the light. 5A great lamp if you use the proper bulb. 15Watt MAX! Use LED and you'll be fine. A great lamp if you use a proper bulb. So many people buy this and ignore the rating on the box and included "manual" that state to use a MAXIMUM 15 watt bulb. What this means is do not put a regular incandescent bulb in it! Use an LED bulb and you won't have it melting or starting a fire. Every single review that has pictures where people show it melting have bulbs in it that are obviously over the 15 watt limit. I have this on my nightstand with a 60 watt equivalent (9.5 watt) warm white dimmable smart bulb and have been using it for the past 8+ months without a single issue. I like that it has a place for me to set my iPad and use it daily. Excellent product. 5Great for the money--use proper bulbs Saw these on Wayfair but the price was much better on Amazon. Bought three in different colors since we're trying to create a homework room in hopes that it will make our daughters love doing homework. But in all seriousness they add a cute look and the "prop" for tablets is a nice touch. I've seen people complain about the shade melting---but I zoomed into a few pics and it looks like those customers were using 100w lightbulbs. Holy cow--do not, I repeat do not put high voltage in desk lamps. Go 60w or under, which is now even easier with CFL and LED bulbs. Wish they had a blue option but I can't have it all. 4After about three months, the light burned the cover ... After about three months, the light burned the cover and became dangerous. But there is no way for return. 1These are great. IMPORTANT These are great.IMPORTANT: For those seeing people posting pictures of the melted lamp, this happened because they did not follow the instructions. It clearly states not to use more than a 15W bulb.If you go higher than that, the heat from the bulb will melt plastic. That's an issue for all plastic lamps. Heat melts plastic ;)If you want a brighter light you can look into low heat LED bulbs for this unit ( which is what I did ), or get a different lamp made of metal. 5This is a nice little lamp for the price This is a nice little lamp for the price. If your reading reviews about people buying the lamps and how they're a fire hazard or they melted. Please be aware that it does state right on the box not to use high wattage bulbs. Not only do they use more power, but they will also melt plastic. Use common sense.Update 2/3/2019This lamp still works great! No issues at all. My daughter's been using it in her room, so it stays on basically 24/7 year round. 5Broke after 1 MONTH! I loved the design of the lamp and the extra little compartments for misc desk items. However, after only 1 month it broke: the light doesn't work, the bulb seemed to have fused to the cone and the whole unit is useless. Now, I don't expect miracle life expectancy from a $15 lamp but one month is a bit too quick to die on me. Sadly, I just missed the return window with amazon so I'll just suck up the cost and get another lamp from Target as my previous $12 desk lamp from there lasted for 3 years.Definitely NOT worth the money. 1Fire hazard. If I could do zero stars I would. This product was no good the first day on I smelled something burning. It was this lamp the light socket was dangling the bulb was stuck to the side of the shade. When I tried to take the bulb out the bulb broke. We trashed it! 1TERRIBLE PRODUCT I would give it NO STARS if I could. I buy alot of products on Amazon and this product was the first product that I ever ordered that began to fall apart the same day that I got it in the mail. The peice where you screw in the bulb to came unhinged and was just dangling with the light bulb. Still no biggie for me but that same night it blew a brand new branded light bulb to the point were the bulb turned black and developed a hole in it.. I didn't know that was actually possible all in the same day that I received this product. TERRIBLE PRODUCT! 1
