Metal hinge good, sound quality sucks I bought these for my 3 year old after our other pair of Lil Gadgets broke. The other pair broke where they fold because the hinge was plastic. I thought these would be great since the hinge is metal. That part was good! But after about 4 months of using them, the sound stopped working on one side. A week or so later the sound stopped out of the other side too. Looking back the sound was always touch and go with these since we first bought them. Going to try a different brand now since I don t think these are made well. 1Much better than other kids headphones we've tried Got this for my grandson, who has sensory processing disorder (especially sensitive to noisy environments). The ear pieces do a surprisingly good job at passively absorbing outside sounds. When traveling, these might be enough to not have to bring separate hearing protectors, too. The sound quality is much better than most cheap kids headphones. The way the ear pieces slide to accommodate bigger heads seem quite sturdy. There is padding under the top part of the bow (that sits on top of the head). They're just large enough to accommodate a 7 3/4 hat size. The color is vibrant. I appreciate that they fold for storage/travel.The max volume seems a bit louder than other kids volume limiting headphones we've used. Those other ones barely provided enough volume when in a loud environment (like a loud restaurant). I don't know if it's a little too loud. I don't think so; I think it's just that the sound absorption is very good. (Grandson couldn't hear us talking to him while his movie was on. He talked loudly while wearing them.) 5Hands down - The BEST kid headphones on the market! LOVE these headphones! I bought the Connect+ version when my twin girls were 2 and they were awesome. But they outgrew them about 5. So we are so happy that these larger Connect+ Pro are now available. Lil Gadgets are the best kid headphones on the market! We tried a couple other brands and nothing comes close. I highly recommend. 5Love these! Love, love, love these headphones for my kids! These are the best headphones I've tried for my kids to use while watching YouTube videos and movies on their iPads at home, and even while traveling in the car and on planes. The kids say they're comfortable to wear and volume is good. I have 5 kids from teen to toddler; the headsets adjust to fit them all. I also love all the fun colors. Each child gets a unique color to avoid arguments. I inquired about getting some extra cords because our pet guinea pig had nibbled on a few. The seller was responsive way beyond my expectations and helped me out immediately. More than once I've had strangers ask me where I got the headphones after seeing my kids out in public with them. I pull up the amazon listing on my phone to share because I want others to discover this product. 5Seems like a quality product, but it's too quiet and small for our needs We were looking for volume-limiting headphones for our son, who is required to have a pair for school. These were sooooo quiet, they actually didn't work for us. He's 10, and they were really tight on his head, too. I suspect these would fit a very young child (toddler through age 7 or 8?). Otherwise, they're good looking and seem like they're sturdy enough for a kid to use (and slightly abuse) them. We're disappointed the sound quality doesn't meet our needs and we're still on the hunt for the perfect pair of headphones for our son.... 2and I decided to spend more to get a better quality item My 5 year old (with a larger head, 90th percentile) really enjoys these headphones. He needed headphones as a requirement for Kindergarten class, and I decided to spend more to get a better quality item. I was pleased with the packaging and quality of the headphones; they also fold above each ear muff and a small black carrying bag is included in the box. These headphones connect to another pair with a jack on the ear muff. Given all the great features and quality of the item, I bought the headphones in blue for my younger son's upcoming birthday. 5... in the last year and these were honestly the best of the bunch We've gone through several children's headphones in the last year and these were honestly the best of the bunch. I took one star off, because the max volume level seems a bit loud to me for a child's ears, and another star off because we haven't had them very long (we are three weeks beyond the window for a return to Amazon) and the sound has stopped working on one side. So my son ends up turning the volume up very loud in his one ear. I might end up purchasing ANOTHER pair of these, because they have been the most comfortable and have been used a lot, but I'm wincing at paying that price again for a pair of headphones that might only last a few months.****UPDATE - I just received two replacement cables directly from LilGadgets, they saw my Amazon review, unsuccessfully tried to contact me, but sent the cables anyway as a possible solution to my problem. Unfortunately, the cables did not resolve the issue, but I've responded to the company and will update my review again with further information. I am VERY IMPRESSED however, with the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE of LilGadgets, so I'm adding a star back to my review.****FINAL UPDATE - Adding another star back to my original review, since the company contacted ME once they saw my review stating my initial problem with the headphones, sent me cables as a possible solution, then when that proved ineffective, sent me a brand new pair of headphones which work wonderfully. I was initially very pleased with the headphones for their design and comfort level for my kids, and am even more pleased with the customer service and pride that LilGadgets obviously takes in their products and their company. They've made LilGadgets customers out of us, for sure! 55 stars until the cable frayed. We bought 3 sets of these headphones in June for our 3 daughters (8,9,and 10). They have been wonderful on plane rides watching films or listening to audiobooks and music in the car. The ability to chain them together has resulted in shared listening to podcasts while we, as adults, don't have to listen as well. The colors are appealing and make them easy to find in backpacks. I wish the bags that came with them were not all black, but matched the colors to make it easier to distinguish. These were a 5 star purchase for us until last week, when it was clear that one of the cables had frayed internally and now only one side of the headphones gets sound. Since these are for kids I expected better durability and am disappointed.Update-- on Nov 14th we received a replacement cable from the company. Great customer service! We'll see how this cable works. 5Great protection from Pinkie Pie! I ordered these for my niece, who is 6. She LOVES the color. The rest of us LOVE the limited volume, the ability to connect headphone-to-headphone, and the fact that we don't have to be constantly involved in the adventures of Twilight Sparkle and the other denizens of Equestria. Highly recommended. 5Awesome affordable toddler headphones! I love these headphones. They are such a great product. When they arrived yesterday and my older kids saw me open the package they were immediately jealous! They look so nice (and very similar to a certain super popular expensive brand name of headphones) and they fit so well on my toddler who just turned 2 on April 2nd. (See pic) They are very comfortable to wear and the sound quality is good without worry of being too loud. Great product! Also awesome that they came with a little cloth carrying bag. And the cord has a button on it that can pause whatever is being played on the device. 5
