missing some features but overall great for kids Got this to replace a "Cloud B Twilight " lady bug star projector/nightlight. my 2yr old LOVES the star projector but the batteries on the old one would burn out every month. i was tired of replacing them and found this.works great, and we love that it spins, however the colors don't switch, you choose one or many of the 4 color options and those stay one the whole time whereas on the Cloud B Twilight they fade from red to green to blue.another thing is the plug it comes with is a USB plug, i mean why not just give a wall plug? i had to commandeer one of my Iphone plugs to permanently house the nightlight. mildly irksome.Overall i would say this does the trick but it sure would be nice to have a regular wall plug, and colors that change. 4Worth the money This is a great little light! It has so many different options with the timer and the colors! My teenage daughter loves it and uses it to help her relax for sleeping and studying. It came with a plug (including outlet piece) so it was ready to go. 5Simple and great These are great. My daughter was sent one as a present, and I bought one fro my niece. They are powered by USB -- this means they can work as gifts for someone in Asia, UK, etc. More products should like this. USB power adapters are such a commodity that they are better than other power adapters you routinely get. When not providing power they don't vampire voltage or get warm. They are more efficient than other power supplies when providing voltage as well. I assume this is because they are more common than any other power supply and so much focus has been put on making them cheaper and better.The light show this puts out is trivial. Just a rotating disk/hemisphere with stars on it, so the stars show up on the ceiling. But it WORKS. They rotate and it's friendly and pleasant and a has a count-down timer which is easy to set so your child can go to sleep with this on, and then it turns off.Good design decisions. Very easy to use. Right choice for power. 5am loving this.great buy this is so awesome. have it in my livingroom for the doggies,but , so loving it myself. tranquil and memerizing. the dogs seem fascinated when they look up at the ceiling and wall and see all the movement and colors. think the timer is a wonderful idea. The light they give off is perfect and ... These lights are amazing! The light they give off is perfect and I am so happy I spent a little extra for more settings. This one spins, has a plug and the best feature is it has a timer! There is every color option you can think of using between white, blue, red and green. You can make it spin or stay still and there is one setting that makes all of the colors fade on and off. The black cover is a little fragile so when one was left on the floor it got knocked over and crushed when we had company over but I will be buying a new one to replace it for sure! 4The color options are great too! We use it as a signal he needs to start winding down for bedtime & use his quiet voice to not wake his sister. & with the handy timer I can see how long we've been trying to fall asleep, and just press a button if we need longer (it extends up to 90minutes). Baby is one of those who doesn't like to go to sleep, lest something Cool be missed. These rotating lights are just enough action, but also repetitive enough, that Baby can (not always) drowse off while feeling like something is still happening.But I really, REALLY wish it was possible to leave them on indefinitely, to serve as an all-night-long night light. What's the point of having a "night light" function that shuts off after a maximum of 99 minutes? Plus, I think Baby might really enjoy gradually waking up, whenever that happens, and finding that the stars and moon are still there. I know I'd like to be able to go in after a couple of hours and still see how Baby is doing, without having to have another light in the room.I'd give it five stars for sure, if it would just stay on. That's how important I consider this major flaw to be. 3Great but delicate My 5-year-old son has had this lamp for about 8 months and loves it as a nightlight. I like the timer, but wish it was something he could turn on himself during the night. You kind of have to memorize what button does what since they are labeled A-D. He couldn t get it to rotate recently and tried to force it which broke the rotation ability. I ended up buying a different unit and am probably going to return it for this one. The other has quieter buttons (these pop pretty loudly when pressed) but it doesn t remember your rotation or white light selection so I have to push all the buttons every time which is super annoying. This one I never had an issue with until it was broken (his fault, not the light s). I d definitely recommend this one. 5Stars can look blurry but still nice ambiance I think all the stars projection lamp blur unless they're close to a surface.But it's still cool to see even blurry stars. Has a good ambiance especially when rotating. You can choose single colors blue read and green, or any combination of the three at the same time. Also has a 4th light which is regular white lite and a cap to evenly disperse the light instead of having the star shapes.When it got cold out I noticed a grinding noise as it was spinning which is annoying, but for the price it's still worth buying and if it starts squeaking and grinding i just set it to no rotation mode. I recommend, just try to get it as close to the walls or the ceiling for sharper images. 4
