Great Pen, Great Price, but do your research on compatibility!!! ~Review~tldr; Was looking for an alternative to the $70 Bamboo Ink and decided to give this a go. Overall, super satisfying despite original doubt.Pros:- Easy set-up basically out of the box it is ready to go.- Comes with 3 replacement nibs with replacement tool, one AAAA battery, and a little laptop carrying attachment that fits into a USB port.- I use it on a Lenovo Yoga 720 13" and it works like a dream, very responsive on Adobe apps (PS, AE, PR) and Microsoft apps like Fresh Paint and One Note.- Very good build quality does not feel cheap, has a solid aluminum feel to it, stronger than a pen/pencil feeling. Almost feels like a metal rod.- Feels very natural and in my experience has palm rejection once the pen makes contact with the screenCons:- A tad slippery, feels very smooth (not to the point where it is flying out of you hand) but the ability to use a duct tape grip or attach a pencil/pen grip is there if you can forego the pen carrying laptop attachment.- There is a bit of a learning curve especially if using this stylus for the first time, especially on Photoshop I might add but is great once accustomed.- The buttons on the side weren't really explained and I have not used either of them once but it does not feel like a necessity.- WORKS on the Yoga 720 13" but does not work on my iPad, Nexus 6P or Nexus 7 AT ALL no touch, no hover. So be sure to CHECK COMPATABILITY before purchasing!Final Thoughts:I love it, it works great for me and at this price point compared to a cheap $9 - $15 stylus with limited accuracy or the more expensive Bamboo INK ($70), Apple Pencil ($99) or the new Pixelbook Pen ($99) this pen does a swell job for just under $30 but if you're not doing work that requires accuracy such as design or drawing and just want something to touch your screen with, a cheaper stylus might be a more economic choice and will most likely be more compatible with more devices. 5Perfect for Taking Notes I wanted just a simple pen I can use on my Lenovo Yoga 720 to take notes during class and this is exactly what I was looking for. I am able to open PowerPoints during lectures and write directly on the slides. The only thing I don't like is the design of where the buttons are because I sometimes push them accidently while writing and pull up the eraser. Other than that, I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a simple pen! 4Works great with Lenovo Flex 6! This Lenovo active capacity pen was purchased to work with Lenovo Flex 6 14" 2-in-1 Laptop and I am pleased to report that it works perfectly with that convertible laptop (PC/Tablet mode). If you are running Windows 10, you will need to download an application & drivers for the pen which in most cases it will automatically prompt and install for you. Lenovo Active Pen has a part number# GX80K32882, comes neatly packaged with A USB pen holder for storage and three replacement pen tips (Nibs) and a Nibs extractor tool.The Lenovo Active Pen uses Wacom's technology like the Surface Pro 2 but the drivers are provided by Wacom which recognizes it as Lenovo pen. The Pen is powered by a single AAAA (4 A's) battery. A single AAAA battery is also included in with the product. Battery life seems good and lasts few months easily if you use it sparingly. Battery status is available on your laptop/Tablet PC in the taskbar as an option. You can also get AmazonBasics AAAA Everyday Alkaline Batteries (8-Pack) at a great price which also works great with this pen and pricing is awesome by Amazon!The pen itself is well built metallic body. It is slightly on the slippery side but you tend to get used to it after few weeks of use. The wacom software does allow you to customize the top barrel and bottom barrel buttons to launch specific app installed on your laptop. I personally like to use Windows Ink Work-space - Sketchpad & Screen Sketch so I customized the buttons accordingly. I am no sketch artist nor can I tell about 2048 Levels of pressure sensitivity mumbo-jumbo but I can confirm that it does detect your palm and Palm Rejection works!Overall, I am happy with this purchase and hopefully it will help others noting that it works fine with Lenovo Flex 6 series released in 2018...Rating with five stars! 5Works with Yoga 720 Works on the Lenovo Yoga 720. Box advertises that it supports 2048 levels of pressure. It also comes with 3 replacement nibs, nib extractor, USB pen holder, and AAAA battery. No pairing necessary -- just bring it up to the screen and draw.My only criticism is that the nib is a bit short compared to most digitizer pens. Does not impact usability. Tip: If you need a replacement AAAA battery faster than Amazon can get one to you, check your local drug store.3 pictures: One shows the box specs, one shows the box contents, and the last picture compares the nib of this pen (all black) to the nib of a Wacom EMR stylus (light grey tip) to demonstrate my criticism.EDIT: If you have one of these pens and the nib feels too short, pull the nib out with the included removal tool. Reinsert the nib (or a different one). It shouldn't go as deep into the pen as the nib came stock from the factory. I think Lenovo or Wacom jammed the nib in too deep. Removing and reinserting the nib made a significant difference! Try it! 5Glad I purchased this instead of the more expensive Surface ... I have a Lenovo Flex 5 and this worked as soon as I put the battery in. No syncing or weird setup. Attaches to the USB port on the side via included connector. The lag is almost nonexistent when taking notes. Glad I purchased this instead of the more expensive Surface or Wacom pen, which I'm not even sure would work. 5Responsive and Accurate. Just the ticket for OneNote. No drivers necessary. I bought this pen for the Lenovo Miix 700 64gb/4gb version.I removed Windows 10 Home and did a clean install of Windows 10 Enterprise. The pen was recognized instantly without the need for extra Lenovo drivers (stupid bloat) and works beautifully in OneNote.I did some amateur sketches in AutoDesk SketchBook and it was responsive and accurate. The pen has a very nice heft to it that gives it a premium feel.Both apps that I've used the pen with had automatic palm rejection and made for a great writing experience.I planned on using this to take notes in class, but have not used it for that purpose yet. It's current use is for simple note jotting while on my desktop. I also use to highlight and annotate PDFs in OneNote.Cons:1) I can foresee tip replacement causing some trouble. The directions on how to replace the tip are extremely vague. I attempted to replace the tip (just as a test), but could not, so this might cause some headache in the future. 2) Nowhere to stow the pen. This isn't really a con of the pen, but more of a con on Lenovo and the Miix 700 as a whole. I have a yoga 720, which the product name indicates is capatible; but after many hours on forums and help sites and a whole novella's worth of vibrantly colorful language: nada. I tried reordering it, thinking that it was just defective, but that didn't work either. It looks like the active pen 2 connects fine with most of the Lenovo touch-screen products, but I couldn't even find videos connecting this version, which makes me think lenovo's just trying to sell off the last of a very questionable product. Smooth writing. 5Works with Pixelbook I already own the Pixelbook Pen, but decided this was cheap enough to just test it out. Here's what I found out in testing.There is a bit more lag than the Pixelbook Pen, but not so much to make it annoying to use.Pressure sensitivity works fine with the Lenovo Pen.The Lenovo Pen does not have tilt sensors, or at least it doesn't do anything with the Pixelbook.No pairing needed, and you can switch back and forth between the two without issue.One of the buttons on the Lenovo Pen will activate the Google Assistant, the other does nothing and cannot be programmed to do anything.The pocket clip is nice to have on the pen. My Pixelbook Pen will roll away if you don't keep an eye on it.The Pixelbook Pen is way nicer to use overall, but cost 4x as much. If you are an artist and plan on drawing with the pen, buy the Pixelbook Pen, it will be worth it. If you just want a pen for hand writing notes, get this and save money. 4
