Customer Reviews

Bright, easy-to-install, and inexpensiveWe mounted these very affordable lights with 1 under one small cabinet and 2 on the bottom of an over-the-range microwave to make up for its underwhelming light. We attached the cabinet mounted puck with the included very tiny screws and I glued magnets to the back of the other 2 pucks to stick them to the microwave. I certainly went over-board with the CMS Magnetics 15 LB Round Base Magnet RB36 1.42" Cup Magnet - 4 Count, but I didn't know what to expect.A few unexpecteds:- The light pucks are EXTREMELY lightweight. I knew they would be light, but they are even more-so than expected. This is good in my mind.- The light they put out looks a bit of strange out of context, but great once installed.- The switch is located at about the mid-point of the approximately 4 foot black powercord. It didn't affect my installation, but I would have expected it to be closer to the end that goes plugs into the transformer that the individual pucks plug into.- There is a ton of cord on each individual light. Maybe bordering on too much- I was very pleased with the light output (other reviewers had mentioned that it was just so-so).5Bright light, indistinguishable from incandescent. Good quality. These have a good quality, machined aluminum housing with an aluminum printed circuit board. The lens is frosted plastic. The cords from the lamp are all about eight feet, and there is a power strip to plug them into, then the power strip plugs into the switch/power brick harness. It comes with short enough screws to not poke through the bottom of your cabinets. There is only about three or four feet between the switch and the power brick, so that dictates that you customize the wiring. I shortened and joined all the wires from the lights and ran them right to the switch, so there wouldn't be rat nests of wire under the counter. I used mounting tape to secure the switch to the bottom of the cabinet. Using some of the wire that I trimmed from the lights, I extended the harness from the power brick to the switch so I could place the switch on the bottom of the wall cabinet. Overall, for two sets of light , three each, I think I spent about 90 minutes cutting, soldering and heat shrinking the wires. I installed them the 14 Jan 17, and today is 15 Feb 17, and they have been on continuously, 24/7. They are warm to the touch; prolly around 106 degrees F. Frankly, at this price point, I expected them to fail by now. They are very bright, so bright that both my wife and I forget to turn on the overhead light when we go into the kitchen. They look nice when you bend down and look under the counter to see them, but who's gonna do that? They are warm white for sure. Indistinguishable from LED in my opinion. I paid eighteen dollars, half of what Home Depot wanted for incandescent under-counter lighting. I kinda want to buy two more sets just to have around! I am super happy with this purchase. I like the price point, the quality, the ease of installation and the performance. I would definitely buy these again.5Under counter lightsPerfect5One of the Best Decisions I've ever Made!I bought 23 sets of these puck light sets to go in my new house. I love them, they are so easy to install and wire. While I was looking for the perfect under cabinet lighting, I went through at least 15 other types and brands of lighting (spot lights, LED strip lights, etc) and these were by far the brightest and cheapest option. The puck lights themselves are very skinny in width for the amount of light they put out and they don't look bulky and clunky when you install them under your cabinet. I have noticed that they get pretty warm when I leave them on for more than an hour, but they don't get hot enough to be a fire hazard.I cut all the power plugs off each puck light and used the plug-in 12 volt wall adapter on a switched outlet so that these can be turned on/off by a light switch. There's about a 3 second delay between the time I turn on the light switch and these light up, but that's not really an issue for me.Over a two year span, these never went on sale or changed in price, so that was a let down when you're on a budget--but they are worth the money. However, I also bought 2 sets of these and they are the exactly the same product (Ustellar LED Under Cabinet Lighting Kit, 1020lm Puck Lights, 6000K Daylight White, Set of 6). These did go on sale and were $27 for 6 lights rather than $17 for 3 lights, so I was able to save some money there.5Love this product! After trying a lot of lights I can happily say that "this is what i was looking for". The lights are really slim and it looks amazing.5But they look great. The photos in the item description don't do ...So it's only been a few hours. But they look great. The photos in the item description don't do it justice. The connections at the end of the wires could have easily been made smaller so the necessary hole size could have been smaller. I would recommend splitting the wire the re-splicing the ends back on. Would have been the smart way to do it. But the light output is great and diffused. I will re review if they break hopefully there won't be a need for that.4Nice Kit, I showed a picture in the dark ...Nice Kit, I showed a picture in the dark with plain wall (no backsplash). I like the light as it disbursed the plain wall nicely. However after I installed my stainless steel backsplash (not shown but will update later), the lighting is more directional and not as disbursed but that is just the nature of stainless steel anything so I didn't like it as much with the stainless steel back splash and once this goes out, I will look at more of the linear lighting and not the puck lighting. I knocked down a star as once I opened up to reveal the screw area, it was very difficult to put back since the puck is very slender. I ended up using double back sided tape and stayed on nicely. One of the cheaper kit and works just fine and this is definitely more white light, its a bit stark white but bright as you can see.4they seem great. I used Velcro like others have describedI received and installed a set of 3 of these lights about 6-8 weeks ago, and so far, they seem great. I used Velcro like others have described, and that seems to easily hold the puck lights up, since they are so lightweight. The white is a good white color, and not at all bluish, but there is a white tile backsplash, which might be influencing this. I also like the fact that these pucks don't get hot; they do get very warm after they've been on for a while, but you can still easily hold them in your hand when they are maximally warm (I wouldn't be able to do that with halogen ones). Price is great. I like these so much that I'm thinking of changing over the halogen ones in my primary residence, too.6/7/2017--almost 1 year later and I still think that they're very good.9/12/2018 Update: The original set of three lights (shown in the pictures) is still going strong. I have installed these exact same lights in two other kitchens since I bought my first set back in 2016, and I m frequently thinking of other applications for these lights. They re great! As stated above, totally a white light not blue-ish like it appears in one of my pics.5Good high light output for a small package. Got the package thought there is no way these will put out any light. They seamed so small. But when I hooked them up to test them they did put out quite a bit of light. Very easy to hook up. I had to put a plug under the cabinet. Everything else went smooth. Just unscrew the cover and put two Phillips head screws included very short no poke through the cabinet bottom. I am impressed with the amount of light these small units put out. Before was using a 18 inch flouresent daylight tube. Got tired of them breaking and replacing the whole unit. The florescent have no ballast any more. So you cannot repair when broken. So thought I would move up to led. These work great and are easy to install. I put three one unit over the sink. Bought two thought I might need both but one works great. Note hooked up to wall switch. There is a two to three second delay for the lights to come on. I think it is in the converter. But these use such a small amount of electricity that is a small inconvenience to deal with. These weigh next to nothing I think you could staple the cords to hold them up. There is a off and on switch on the cord rocker type. In my case will not be used. Now where to put the extra set. And they do not get hot. 5These look awesome in our kitchen and my husband didn't have any ...These look awesome in our kitchen and my husband didn't have any trouble installing them. Definitely have to screw these in because the double sided tape included doesn't hold for even 24 hours. So plan to screw these in or find a better temperary adhesive than the tape provided. You can also dim these lights, 2 settings.5Great lights that do the job very well These lights are exactly as described. I had a new all glass cabinet that did not have lights and you could not appreciate the contents in it. I tried battery powered lights but after a short period of time they would dim considerably and I wanted lights that would stay on without needing to replace batteries constantly.I did not want to drill holes in the top of my cabinet so I used heavy duty double sided tape and it worked great, especially since the lights are very light. I also bought a remote control dimmer and I have full control of the brightness I desire. 5PERFECT!Used for my ikea tv stand, these were super easy to install and they looked SUPER AMAZING!!! Exactly what I was looking for. 3 levels of brightness, these were perfect! I highly recommend5Looks good but gets too HOT I was excited about receiving this product. It seemed to be the perfect lighting for my entertainment center. After drilling holes in my entertainment center for mounting, I reached down to pick one of the lights up and I was surprised to find how REALLY hot the light became over a short period of time. LED lights do not suppose to get this hot. You can fry an egg on the back of the pucks. 123 degrees in 20 minutes. :( 1
