WD external hard drive case... Case is snug to say the least. The flap that supposedly covers the external hard drive does not completely cover it when the drive is in the case. Case sometimes hard to zip too when usb cable is inside its pocket. If you purchase this, just be careful with how you situate everything inside and how you zip it, and you'll be fine. 4Very good case for my portable 2TB HD and at a great price, too. Very nicely made case for my WD My Passport 2TB portable hard drive. Fit is a little tight due to extra thickness of this 2TB drive, so there's not much if any room for the USB 3.0 cord inside the case. I got the red color so it's easier to find. I think it provides very good protection for the HD, and it includes a carabiner clip to attach the case to a belt loop or whatever. 5Horrible smell, great product... This case smells awful. It's the perfect case for the WD Passport external hard drive. I love that it has a place for the cord and SD cards, however the convenience doesn't outweigh the smell. It is AWFUL. It smells like a burning tire. I've had it for several weeks now and the scent has yet to dissipate. It's not worth returning, since I use it anyway, but they should really figure out why they smell SO bad. 3Stinks of cigarettes, even though it's new!?! Fits okay, and seems well made. Unfortunately, it stinks horribly of cigarette smoke, straight out of the bag. Maybe they smoke in the factory where it is made? 2Protects well, but optimal for slimmer drives It works, and protects my hard drive. I can't ask for much else. One thing, though: I purchased this to complement a WD Elements 2 Tb portable drive, which isn't as slim as some other portable hard drives. If you're doing the same, know that the fit is a bit snug, and you probably won't be able to utilize the vinyl pockets in the middle flap. Since I wasn't looking to use those, I saw no reason to penalize in my review. 5What a great product. I don't know how the seller can ... What a great product. I don't know how the seller can offer it at such a LOW price-AND ship it quickly- and make a profit.The case is very well made. The padding and design are well thought-out. And the fit (for the external hard drive and cable) is perfect!I couldn't be more pleased. HIGHLY recommended. 5It really does SMELL horrible! Fits the drive as described, but WOW does it SMELL, like smoke and mildew. YUK. Wish I would of listened to the warnings of the other reviewers.I am going to have to fumigate it before I can even use it. 1Toxic smell, broken zipper, too-tight fit Cheaply made zipper handle broke off the first time I tried to open the case. The toxic chemical smell others have commented about is really pronounced and awful. The fit of the case for my WD Elements portable external HD is so tight that the USB cable is bent when I close the case. (I like to have the drive in the case and mostly zipped up even when I'm using the drive.) And it's too tight to keep my 6-ft USB cable coiled up inside the case when I'm traveling. I'll be returning this case and ordering another one that's larger and hopefully better quality. 2It fits very nicely with a grip on the drive Purchased for Western Digital 1 Tb My Passport Ultra. It fits very nicely with a grip on the drive. You must tip up the USB end to plug in the cord, as it nestles down into the case. The netting as pictured holds two USB cords plus a little clip on snitty thingy for the case, with the larger clip on the outside as pictured. Though its padded, I feared it would be very tight, but there is enough give in the zipper bellows to zip easily without being destructive to the zipper. I like the hard shell and the subdued blue color.All in all, a well executed case for your external hard drive. 5Great Fit I bought this case to store my WD My Passport Ultra External Hard Drive to give it some protection since it's not shock resistant (learned my lesson from dropping my previous one). It's a great fit and I like that it has a compartment to store the cord and an extra layer of protection in between the two. 5
