Apple is what really makes this difficult...works great once properly applied! Apple's new, ultra low-profile keyboard makes it a challenge for any manufacturer to make a cover that stays put. This one works great with the backlit keys, while adding a nice splash of color. As others have said, it can curl at the edges; HOWEVER, the trick is to NOT try to press along the two horizontal lines of adhesive. As soon as you do, the edges will curl as the adhesive pulls the cover inward and off-kilter. After several attempts, I found the best way is to carefully lay the whole thing on as evenly as possible, adjust slightly and then let it lay gently overall. Let the adhesive rest between rows (it still works), but do not try to press it or run your finger(nail) down along it or it will pull the cover up just enough to lift the edges off the spacebar and arrow keys particularly. Once I got that right, then it rests just right (over 2 weeks and counting) without sliding or curling. Another issue with Apple's new ultra low-profile keyboards is the need for adhesive of some sort to help keep the cover flying off completely. That means no more dishwashing or full and easy washing. The best you can do is carefully wipe the top (gently), and consider a cloth (I used to use RadTech ScreenSavr, but the original owners retired and whomever took it over says new versions will not be ready until 2019(?!); however, a folded, thin bandana can work just as well - style to suit your tastes) to avoid transfer of oil/dirt to the screen. I definitely like the colors vs. longstanding and prior use of Moshi's (I did get one of those, just in case, but the trick to this one is in the application!). Again, the drawbacks are of Apple's own making, and this stylish, yet clear, cover works great! Try it! 5PEEL SUUUUUPERRRRR SLOW (Inserted update on this HECTIC return..p..r...o...c.....e..s.....s...So I go to the UPS store with my code and they confirm that portion of the return is free but that they have to charge me to print the label I came down to the Flippin store to see if UPS the hassle to pick up at my door and coordinate that route every turn and now I m getting the runaround and the Amazon app does not allow me to change my return method someone needs to contact me and needs to do so immediatelyToo Thin! Arrived flat, yet was creased. Doesn t align/line up perfect, or even well. Have to place as looks best as not deep enough to hold in place, so sticky strip a must. But you only get one try or ultra thin sticky strip will be ruined, will twist and no longer be flat. I d not buy again. Will (hopefully) work long enough for me to find a better option. It appears to be more for oily fingers then crumbs or to stop a spill it is however the crease that is so upsetting as it is diagonally across the entire keyboard. If anyone has a suggestion on the thicker silicone that can be taken on and off for easily wipe down please let me know this product is not that it is more like shipping protectionUpdate/Additional Comments: Requested ReturnAttn Amazon DELIVERY carrier: "Your package was delivered. It was handed directly to a resident." is Not the same as Left at door/on porch. I keep seeing this delivery type/note on items, but not ever has UPS or any carrier service even knocked on my door. Thankfully I have an Alexa that alerts me soon thereafter (after the drop). 1This keyboard cover protector looks really amazing! This keyboard cover protector looks really amazing, I mostly use my new macbook pro outdoor so it s what I was looking for. Also it protects Mac from any scratches, water and dust. And what is really important that it s easy to install and it fits perfectly. I always use keyboard protector and it saved my old Mac from dying when water cup fell on it, really easy to put on and feels very natural and keeps Mac protected. 5Lovely and protective Have been using it for about a week or so and have found no significant flaws in it. It lacks any "stickiness" on the bottom to adhere it to the keys, but laying flat or at a slight angle (30 or so) will keep the cover on. I don't have any issues with it sliding or shifting unless I'm deliberately dragging my fingers over the keys as opposed to pressing them down.Cover has a very slight texture, but nothing too distracting. Has helped reduce the dreaded "non-responsive keys due to minor speck of dust working in under the key" syndrome by quite a lot. 5Sadly disposable keyboard protector :( I love this keyboard protector, as it looks really nice, protects the key mechanisms from debris entering them, and actually adds just a bit of spring to the keys...something really helpful for low-travel keyboards like the new MacBook Pros. But...I had a strange machine issue & had to have it serviced. When (carefully) removing the keyboard protector, the tiny adhesive strips separated from both it and the machine. I tried replacing it on the protector (impossible with such a thin strand of adhesive), and failing that, tried to simply use it without the adhesive. There is a *reason* for the adhesive...the keyboard protector sticks to your fingers as a touch-typist and moves about, making it unusable. In short, this is a nice protector, but you'd better situate it on your keyboard perfectly the first time, as trying to adjust it may ruin it. And if you ever DO need to move/adjust it, you may as well just throw it away and order a replacement. :( 3Great product, but a couple things to be aware of when using it... At first I didn't really like this too much cause it was too loose and sat a bit above the keys/moved around when I was typing. However, upon reading some of the other reviews and seeing people mention using a blowdryer to help it fit better, I decided to run the blowdryer over it (while it was on the keyboard), moving it around so it didn't heat any area up too much, for maybe 30 seconds or so and it made a world of difference. I hardly noticed it was there after that. However, one thing to be careful of is using this on a laptop outdoors. I unfortunately made the mistake of not anticipating the wind's ability to blow this thing right off my keyboard and subsequently off of my 4th floor apartment balcony. All in all I enjoyed it for the week that I had it and I doubt the susceptibility to my lack of foresight + mother nature's gusty forces is specific to this product. I'll probably just end up buying another one since they're reasonably priced 5Wonderful keyboard cover This is an amazing keyboard cover. It fits perfectly on my 13" MacBook Pro with touch board. I especially love that this has these thin stickers that really keep the keyboard cover in place unlike many other covers ive used in the past. Additionally because this is mostly clear, the colors dont transfer to the screen (a problem ive had with previous keyboard covers). The lined edges look super awesome and look like the backlighting is on all the time which I love. 10/10! 5Skeptical but pleasantly surprised Having seen the plastic keys degrade over time, I purchased this keyboard protector to find a way to minimize keyboard wear-and-tear. I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent fit and ease of installation. I haven't had any issues with it sliding off due to the very tiny adhesive strip that runs along the top of the bottom row of keys and bottom of the top row of keys. I imagine if you were taking your MacBook outdoors, a strong gust of wind could potentially blow it off, but that's rather extreme and not realistic to my use. Excellent product and well worth the reasonable price! 5Good overall, like clean and the keyboard light shows ... It covers the keys perfectly, no weird measurements. Good overall, like clean and the keyboard light shows through perfectly.Kind of hard to rate as it's my first time buying this type of product for the newer touch bar 15" macbook pros but the film is somewhat slippery in that it's easy to come of the keyboard. I think that has more to do with the design of the new macbook pro's keyboard than this product itself. It also flies off the keyboard easily with a gust of air. Call me weird but I blow on my screen from time to time to clear dust and that sends this thing flying lol 4Snazzy - a little difficult to get aligned but just takes patience The adhesive strips are right above and below the top and bottom row of keys - very easy to use. The cover initially was tricky to place, but the adhesive was forgiving as I lifted and replaced it several times to get it perfectly aligned.I initially had the problem others mentioned - the cover buckling a little on one end or across the bottom, but after some trial and error I ended up with just a slight air gap over the space bar. I shut the laptop overnight and in the morning it was perfectly flat. 5
