Customer Reviews

Kuzy Palmguard I thoroughly enjoy this product.PROS:high quality sticker/decal that will protect against scratches and spills. I'd say it's on par with the more expensive moshi palm rests.color matches well with the aluminum and the fit is spot on (maybe 1/2 a millimeter off on the corners)CONS:The application takes an incredibly long time because once even 1 spot makes contact with the surface, the entire palm rest has a tendency to stick on as well. So, if you mess up, you'll have to pull it back up and retry. It has to be a perfect application for it to do any good. There was also this strange barely noticeable orange streak across the palm rest area. I later realized it was because of how they packaged the palm rest on this double sided fluorescent orange tape and it bled through/ the color melted a bit onto the palm rest. Not too noticeable but just thought you should know.P.S. Even though the description says it's a 1 time application, if you work only in small areas and slowly peeling back the palm rest, you can manage to pull the small areas back up to realign till you get it perfectly on there. BEWARE OF YOUR FINGERPRINTS (oil on your fingers) ON THE STICKY SIDE they will turn the area darker grey. All in all i was very pleased with this palm rest once i spent the 15 min applying it perfectly. I would recommend this product to anyone who has patience dealing with this sort of thing. Remember to peel off the waxy paper as you go and only the amount you can handle. I really don't suggest peeling the entire thing off and trying to stick it on with one fell swoop. A credit card will help you handle any air bubbles although I doubt you'll get any as this decal is nice and thick. 5Wrap your Mac in fashion and practicality! Love love love these two products! I bought the Kuzy Rubberized hard case and the palm rest/track pad skin came with it. The trackpad protector is easy to apply and does NOT grab you with sticky tentacles that refuse to be pried off sensitive skin. Application hint: Line the protector up with the open notch in front first. Make sure the side closest to the keyboard is placed flat and straight where you want it before you apply direct pressure. Smooth your way from the middle to the sides. I didn't have any trouble with alignment or bubbles. I applied the trackpad protector first and then applied the palm rest protector. I got the hot pink color. The skin is a silver color similar to the Mac aluminum and blends well. The trackpad protector is tactile and doesn't hinder swiping, tapping, or clicking actions. I also invested in colorful silicone keyboard covers to from wearing out the letters on the keys. I use my Mac so much, at some point all the vowels disappear so the covers protect the keys from my frenzied keyboarding. The Apple logo glows a muted pink through the shell. Very visually appealing. The shell is thin, but not at all slippery when you grab your Mac. It protects the laptop from scratches and the occasional desk dings. If you need to safeguard against accidental drops or falls, you should probably invest in a product that will give you peace of mind. It's lightweight and adds almost nothing to the in weight or additional thickness. I read a few reviews that claim the palm rest and keyboard cover keep the Mac from closing securely, but that's not my experience. I've also heard the keyboard covers can scratch or ding the screen. Again, I have not had this happen on my previous MacBook or on this one (knock on wood!). I'm pleased with both products and highly recommend them for mid-range protection. Commuters might also want the additional coverage of a thicker, heavier sleeve or bag. Hit me up if you have any questions. I'm happy to help! 5Amazing product! This product fits great on my laptop! Some other reviews said it was a different silver than the macbook, but I don't think it's anything too noticeable that it would make it look bad. It was super easy to put on. I've only had it about a week, though, so can't comment on the durability or ability to stay on for awhile, but I haven't had any problems yet. I didn't put on the mouse pad protector for two reasons. 1, it's just the perfect size. Meaning it has to line up perfectly so it doesn't bubble up. 2, it affects how the mousepad works. I tried for a couple of days, but it just isn't consistent enough for me. I kept it on the side just in case, but don't see myself using it. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product. My old macbook was the white one and got SOO dirty, I wish these were available when I first got it (in 2007) to protect it. 4Sooooooo Bad. To say I'm disappointed is a gross understatement. If I could give this product zero stars, I would. First, the aesthetic is awful. The sophisticated texture of the MacBook Air is covered by a shiny - SPARKLY - sticker. It's not a subtle sparkle. Think Evil Kineviel's motorcycle helmet sparkly silver. Yeah, it's bad. Next the trackpad barely worked to the touch. Honestly, I threw it away. When the product costs what it does, it's hardly worth going to the effort to send it back. It's easier to just eat it and move on. I can only hope this review keeps others from making the same, bad purchase decision I did.I need to mention this is not my first experience with a skin of this kind. I had one for my MacBook Pro and it was amazing. You literally could barely tell it was there. It was NOT a Kuzy brand -- and unfortunately I can't recall the brand (otherwise I would have re-ordered it). I would never, ever, ever buy any Kuzy product again, based on this experience. It's just awful. I almost laughed (before I cried) when I opened it. 1Better than expected I bought this for my new 2015 macbook pro because I want to baby it since it's my first laptop and I want to keep it as flawless, clean, perfected, and new as possible. I noticed there was this and this other one called moshibi or something but I heard this was better so I bought it.First impression was the material and color. The color is slightly different and glimmers more. The texture is almost rough but not too rough where it'll irritate your palm. It's actually thick which is nice so it'll prevent scratches from getting to the laptop palm rest itself. The color difference isn't too noticeable unless you really look at it up close. But like everyone else, I too didn't install the force pad protector only because I use the touch to click feature to save my clicker some wear, but with the sticker on, it's kind of hard to use that feature. If you actually click the force pad then this will work just fine, just the texture won't be as smooth and glossy like the force pad itself.Other than that it was an easy installement, fits very near to perfect and edges are nicely cut. Really recommend to those perfectionist like myself hahah 4Not compatible with Kuzy Rubberized Hard Case Cover The texture is nice, it is comfortable and well made. HOWEVER, I also have the Kuzy - BLACK Rubberized Hard Case Cover for Apple MacBook Pro 15.4" with Retina Display Model: A1398 (NEWEST VERSION) 15-Inch - BLACK and the Kuzy - BLACK Keyboard Cover Silicone Skin for MacBook Pro 13" 15" 17" (with or w/out Retina Display) iMac and MacBook Air 13" - Black. The issue is that the two prongs on the front of the case (by your wrists when you are typing) do not fit over the palmrest protector. So, the palmrest protector is either buckled over it, or pushed back with air bubbles because of the fit.... I would STRONGLY recommend that Kuzy creates a better design for compatibility when using their own merchandise with their own merchandise. For buyers, I would recommend BOTH items, however, be aware that you will either need to cut small lines out of the palmrest protector to accommodate the hard case cover, or, you will spend a considerable amount of time trying to smooth wrinkles and find a way to get the case prongs over the palmrest. I shared a couple pictures to show what I mean, but, hopefully kuzy takes this to heart and tries it themselves. The palmrest doesn't affect the key protector at all, they work great together. The only issues I have are with the case and the palmrest protector. Both are good products, but, I have ruined my palmrest trying to get it to fit under the case and it has been very frustrating. 2Great for Extra Protection! I just got a new Macbook Pro with Retina Display (Model A1502) and want to do everything to protect it since I'm planning on using it through at least my first four years of college. I was a little nervous buying this product just because there were some reviews complaining about a fit issue, but I found this product was an absolute perfect fit for the A1502 model. The palmrest and trackpad skin are a slightly darker silver than the Mac's aluminum, and don't have quite as much of a silky smooth feel, but I wouldn't dub it as being rough, I think it has a great feel close to the aluminum for being as sticker. The sticker seems to have a firm stick on the Mac, even with me lifting the sticker up and down trying to get the perfect fit during application. My trackpad has lost the slightest bit of sensitivity (as it always will if you put something on top of it) but I can still easily use the tapping features with the computer responding. Overall, this was a breeze to put on, feels great, and will hopefully help my Mac last! Also, I have a Kuzy hard rubber case that doesn't interfere with the palmrest 5would've been great if it fit my computer i have a MacBook air non retina version, so it wasn't compatible with the skin, but just from looking at it, the quality looks good and seemed like it would do the job. i really wished i had read the description more thoroughly because i would have love to have used it because it was made so nicely. but ive purchased other computer accessories from kuzy and ive never had trouble with the company. their product is made nicely and fits my tastes. overall they are a bit pricier but the look and finish is worth it. 5First "palmrest and trackpad protector/skin" I've ever bought. Won't be my last. No loss of sensitivity on the mousepad, looks very nice, and easy to install. One thing I do want to point out, is that the cut on this is VERY precise. I actually started out trying to align it to the bottom-center edge, so it lined up right around the mousepad, but it really was effort wasted. I spent nearly 20 minutes lining it up as precisely as possible at the middle, only to have it line up perfectly at the edges anyway. The mousepad portion of the cover was a very similar experience, and didn't really require any "getting used to" either. Its definitely a different texture, but the resistance when sliding across it is fairly equivalent. Both pieces of this kit are very precision cut, and look great. Make sure you work the bubbles out with a credit card AS YOU APPLY IT though. Its adhesion is much closer to a sticker than a screen protector, so you won't have a lot of luck working the bubbles out after you get it laid down.Fortunately for me, the material is very sturdy and the adhesive can handle being peeled off and reapplied a couple times (I hate bubbles) so in spite of my rather hamfisted application, it still looks great. 5Durable. Metallic. I don't give many 5 stars. I was expecting this to be a cheap plastic sticker, but i'm actually quite pleased with it.My fingers glid very nicely on the trackpad and it is a comfortable transition if you set the adhesives correctly.PROS:* Durable, Metallic feel.* My fingers glid very nicely on the trackpad and it is a comfortable transition if you set the adhesives correctly.* The cut is very precise, and has a nice clean look. It fit perfect* During application, I had to reapply to get some of the bubbles out. I was very careful, and I cleaned the areas with some alcohol and wiped it dry with a clean cloth. I had no problem adjusting after a few repositionings. Just be careful not to bend it, I suppose.CONS:* The color is very similar but has a slightly different glimmer because of the texture. It depends on the lighting. It doesn't bother me. 5
