    Make sure you have the short bitThe 6-inch bit is the same as the bit that came with my K5 jig. Works fine.Sometimes that bit is too long. Happened to me again today while repairing some drawers. With the 3-inch bit I easily finished installing the screws. I could have used a right-angle head as an adapter but that gets awkward. It's not fast, either. The 3-inch bit was worth the price of both bits.After 3 years i finally had to write this review. Today was not the first time I have been glad I bought these bits. Plan ahead so you are not stranded when you need a short driver bit.This is a very inexpensive gift for a woodworker with a Kreg K4 or K5 jig. Nice Christmas stocking stuffer or Fathers' Day present. Sooner or later they WILL need the short bit. Having a spare long bit is good insurance, too.5Square drivers Finally! I've found some terrible square drivers that are poorly made (bad fit in the square drive and wear out immediately) but these seem to be what I've been looking for. Great snug fit, after many uses the drive corners are still nice and crisp (not rounding over) and the long and short kit really comes in handy. 5Works, but doesn't last longFirst, Kreg screws should not be a square driver head. They should be a star driver head. Regardless of how hard you try to keep the bit from slipping, it happens all the time. That makes the corners a little round and before long, you need to get a new bit. I bought these thinking Kregg might use a special high strength metal but appears they are no different than the very cheap Harbor Freight bits. I found the DeWalt bits to be a little stronger so have gone with them and used an extension holder.3Kreg Square Driver Bits Are Quality toolsKreg tools fill a unique hole in woodworking tools and that is they create specialty tools that create solutions to difficult tasks. I am a fan because they think outside the box and look for solutions it would seem.This is just one of their simple tools which is two bits made of harden steel and sizes are 3" for tight sots and 6" for easy use. I bought these as a back up as they come with some kits. I ave many of the tools and screws for the systems. These tools always more than meet my expectation.I hate to say it but I do not have many if any complaints about these tools as they are quality built. I recommend all of their toos so do not be shy give them a try. I give these a 4 star because they are nothing fancy but I feel that is a good score for boring old bits.Kreg4Genuine Kreg QualityI always like having extra bits and drivers around, so I grabbed these. It's nice to have the option of the shorter bit for tight spaces when build shelves, etc. Not too much to say, really... just nice, high quality accessories for your pocket hole joinery needs, or anywhere you would use a square drive. It's worth it for the shorter bit alone, as the Kreg kits I've seen only come with the long bit.5Working well... I wore out a couple of #2 square bits that I purchased at a discount tool store while building a chest. These seem to be much more durable and I expect them to last considerably longer, 5Good Company.Although Kreg is a good company, I have a collection and but many tools occasionally from them. In regards to this item, I would like to wait and see if it lasts, how long it lasts; the Longevity and durability. That's the reason why I am not giving them any stars on the respective ratings. I do recommend the company to all DIY's.4Kreg Square Driver BitsI have posted this elsewhere, but I love Kreg products. I somehow lost my driver bit, and I was pretty frustrated about it. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to purchase a replacement but would be forced to purchase a bunch of products with it that I didn't needed. Knowing how practical the Kreg company is, I should have known better. I was able to buy these two driver bits by themselves, and they were very reasonably priced. I have literally never had an issue with any of the many Kreg products that I have purchased, whether big or small.5These are nice and the smaller driver is perfect for hard to ... These are nice and the smaller driver is perfect for hard to reach areas in some occasions. Still have issues with rounding if you're not perfectly in the square hole of the screw. 5Just what I neededI already had the 6 drive that came in the Kreg set, just like everyone else. I wanted the 3 drive to use on pocket holes where there are no obstructions and not much reach needed. This 3 fit the bill. It just happens to come with another 6 . I ll need and use it eventually.5The 6 inch bit doesn't work as well as the 3 inch bitFor some reason the 6 inch bit isn't having a nice fit into the Kreg screws. The 3 inch seems to work just fine but I have to use an extender to recreate what the 6 inch bit should be doing.3Good Bit Good Price Not a lot to say about a set of square bit drivers. Either they work or they don't. These do. They don't round over as I've had other brands do in the past. I especially like the 3" driver as I often use pocket holes screws not only in pocket holes. The long 6" bit can be cumbersome in that application. It is nice to have a shorter drive for when I am using square bit screws not in pocket holes and therefore don't require the long bit. 5A great add on to the basic Kreg Jig kitsIt's a must-have if you are already using one of the entry level Kreg Jig kits. I started out with the Kreg MKJKIT Mini Kreg Jig Kit (from Amazon) and realized I would be limited on some of my projects that needed a little extra reach. You could purchase a generic driver bit at your brick and mortar store, but I honestly prefer using the brand that makes the self tapping screws they'll be driving. Kreg products have revolutionized my DIY projects, I highly recommend anything they put out at this point. They are that good.5Not very durableThe smaller bit is way too short to use when screwing in pocket screws. I find I can barely use it. Also, or seems to be very soft metal, and each bit doesn t last for very long before the tip s edges are rounded out by screwing in the square screws.3Softer than the screws? I was surprised that the square drive tip on these started to strip easily when using the Kreg screws. Square drive doesn't usually slip, but there are times when not holding it right that it will. And in those times I expect the screw, not the driver to strip. Might have been a bad batch. But the tips at least should be harder. 3
