Customer Reviews

Great memory for Dell Latitude E7470 laptops! I bought three kits for fitting in three Dell Latitude E7470s (i7-6650u CPUs), and they worked like a charm. When fitting, you must disconnect the internal battery cable first - this deletes the configuration data, and forces the laptop to do a full hardware check when you power it on. Remember to reconnect the cable after you have fitted the modules! There will be something of a pregnant pause on the first boot - expect a blank screen for about 30 seconds before the Dell logo appears. (Subsequent boots will be much faster.) You will get a message that the amount of system memory has changed.I successfully ran all three systems through the Dell diagnostics software in the BIOS, and each one took roughly an hour to complete.PassMark MemTest86 7.4 Pro showed a memory bandwidth of 17.9 GB/sec, about 5% more than standard, at 2134MHz, and took about 9 hours to run through all tests, with no errors reported. 5The info on the led error messages was pretty easy to find Installed in an i3nuc6 which at first would not boot with a memory error. The info on the led error messages was pretty easy to find, swapped the chips around and it booted up fine running at stated speeds. Not sure what the issue was the first time around, but it's been working great since swapping the chips. 4Works with 2017 27" iMac I bought the two of "32GB Kit (2x16GB) 2400MHz DDR4" kits so I could max out my 2017 27" iMac to 64 gigs of ram, works perfectly! slides right in fits great! 5Add An Extra 4GB To 8GB For Improvement So this is the story, back in August I've ordered this but it was mail to the wrong address, then was refunded to purchase this again until about a week ago and it's now Sept 25th. Been using the 4GB HyperX ram now to keep my system from crashing. When I use Adobe Premiere Pro or any other applications the system will crash at times with the stock 8GB 2133MHz but when I added the 4GB HyperX to give me more room when using applications, the system now ran smoothly and no crashes. Point of the story is if you are a person with a gaming laptop or a laptop and only have 8GB of DDR4 and you know that more memory is required when in use of apps, then this is a no-brainer. 12GB will ensure you a better experience than 8GB will. So that is what I am currently running with my specs listedLenovo Y700Intel i7 7600HQ (undervolt for better temps and using liquid metal )Nivida 960m 4GBMushkin Pilot M.2 250GB SSD (read 2,450mb/s - writes 1,000mb/s)Patriot Ignite 480GB Sata SSD ( read 550mb/s - writes 530mb/s)Stock: 8GB DDR4 2133MHz (timing and CL are the same for the HyperX)HyperX 4GB DDR4 2133MHzI'm sure that I will see a much better improvement if I was to buy 16GB stick of the HyperX when it comes to rendering or editing projects and editing some photos. Test the 4GB in a stress test and it did well and it stays pretty cool while under stress but manages to perform as better as advertised. So I will recommend a stick or two for upgrades to laptops for sure. I'd hope soon I can replace that 8GB stock DDR4 with another HyperX DDR4 16GB stick, one day. But for now, will only have to try due to prices are so high at this time. So pricing does affect how a person thinks about upgrading the memory. But for 47.99 for 4GB does but lucky I saw this in the Amazon deals and score it about 35.09 dollars. I saved one a few dollars and that help. Always make sure you check CL and timing and compatible first for your laptop before purchasing. 53200Mhz 2x16gb (32gb) does not work in Alienware 17R4 with K i7 cpu Kingston Technology HyperX Impact 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 CL20 SODIMM - didn't work in my top of the range Alienware 17R4, even with the HK cpu. All recognised in BIOS but had no end of windows errors and could not get into windows at all. Tried to reinstall windows 10, but could not get past all the BSOD errors... Such a shame. I guess the Alienware does not support 3200MHz ram. Supports 2666MHz though as thats what mine came with... 2Did *not* work in my Intel NUC Kit NUC6i7KYK These Kingston HX424S14IBK2/32 did not work in my Intel NUC Kit NUC6i7KYK Mini PC. I know that they work for some people, but not for me. I tried them one at a time and swapped them and tried different slots. They are not on the Intel compatible list. If you go to the Kingston web site, they are not listed for this application. This is as of early November, 2016. An 8 GB CENTON SODIMM worked fine, so I know the NUC is working. I give 5 stars because I like Kingston and cannot fault them if these don't work for me with the NUC6i7KYK. I returned the Kingston HX424S14IBK2/32 for a refund. This was with NUC BIOS version 0037, released 03JUN2016 - I don't know if the newer BIOS would have worked, since I'd already returned the HX424S14IBK2/32. 5More RAM than you'll know what to do with Dropped these puppies into a new i5 Skylake Intel NUC and they loaded right up. I have no idea what I'm going to with all that extra RAM. Host a half dozen VMWare virtual machines? Maybe I'll set up an email server for the next Secretary of State. SETTI? No idea, really. Even with 1024 MB dedicated to the discrete video chip and several server processes running in the background, I'm still not even breaking 4 GBs in Windows 8.1. All in all, the cost wasn't much more than 16 GB. If I ever switch to Linux, I'm sure it'll come in handy. 52017 iMac user be careful. For people who are going to buy these RAMs to upgrade 2017 5k iMac, don't mix Kingston RAMs with Apple original RAMs, Apple original RAMs are cl17, but Kingston RAMs are cl14. It will make all memory speed down to 2133MHz.Original RAMs are 2 x 4GB, Kingston RAMs are 2 x 16GB, not sure about other cases. Also original RAMs were in dimm0 slots, I added Kingston RAMs in dimm 1 slots, iMac couldn't boot. Then swapped original RAMs to dimm1 slots, Kingston RAMs to dimm0 slots, iMac could boot successfully.Hope this review helps. 5Undiscovered *WIN* I bought my PC over a year ago, it came with 16 gigs of RAM. That should be enough, right. I've used the memory scans from some manufacturers websites and the results say 16 gigs is the limit. Though I could move up to 2666Mhz. Just for kicks and giggles I used the computer manufacturers site to do a complete system scan to check for any potential issues. The results said that my motherboard was good up to 32-gigs. Many tests said 16 max, HP said 32 max, so I took a gamble and decided to order a 16 strip for a total of 24-gigs. Normally I'm a Corsair reliant, this time, I went with HyperX.The moment of truth came when I went to the Amazon Locker, got my package and went home. The worst thing that can happen is I go through the trouble of removing the bottom cover of my laptop, install, reassemble and it doesn't work. Good thing Amazon has a good return policy. After easily, and painstakingly removing the bottom, then replacing one of the 8-gig strips with the new 16-gig, I snapped the bottom on just to do a startup and hope for the best. The first thirty seconds or so, I didn't see anything but the power light come on. Then the screen lit up and the normal cold boot proceeded.I let everything boot up, drivers load, and went into my system profile. What do you know, the HP scan was right. It saw 24-gigs, and 24 of that was usable. But it doesn't stop there. Since the upgraded RAM was a success, I can't have Hyper-X on one side working alongside the Value Ram that came with the machine. Onto Amazon I go and immediately ordered the same thing in an 8-gig. I know it's more proper to have two of the same size working together. But 24 is sufficient enough for me to notice a lot more *pep* in my performance. One day, I'll get another 16-gig to even it out. Maybe even go for the 2666. But for now, I'm happy with the improvements it's done on my once-thought non-upgradeable PC.I would deduct one star, not because of the memory itself, but for the ease of installation. Memory is a snap to install these days. But cracking open an HP by removing the bottom is a delicate task if you don't have the right tools (which I do) and don't want to leave any markings on the outside of the machine. It's not Kingston's fault I have a "pressed together" machine, so I'll leave it at 5. The short: I took a gamble, and hit a small jackpot with the results.Bonus: It comes with a nice quality sticker. I'm a dude, and dude's WILL apply a free sticker somewhere. Whether it be on the lid of their laptop, or under the lid to our toolboxes. Mine looked good on the lid to my machine with the black-on-red mods I've done to it's aesthetics. 5Used for mid 2017 27" iMac i7-works great! No issues with this ram for my new mid 2017 i7 iMac 5
