Good sturdy product Easy to use. We have a caregiver to care for disabled husband and the house key goes in here. The paramedics, fireman, or police have the code so they do not need to break down the front door to come inside in an emergency. Good idea for elderly to have on the door . 5Easy set up and secure enough for me Received this lock yesterday, and I'm very happy so far. Very easy to set up; I had my code set and the lock on the door with about 5 minutes of work and testing without needing to review the instructions.I was happy to find that the little hook holding the key that they show in the pictures is included in the product. I wasn't sure how to get something like that in there on my own.In response to all the people talking about the lack of security, there are technically 1023 combinations (not counting no combination), since you can set any number of digits in your code, so it's comparable to a spinning lock with three digits. I bought this for purposes of using for a couple days at a time for pet sitters or service people, not to leave out for months straight, so I'm content with those odds. A stranger trying to break in doesn't know how many digits I set and may not even know that numbers can't be repeated. Also, I'd trust my neighbors to become suspicious of someone standing at my door for an hour trying to get in and I can change the combination before I put it out every time. If you're looking to leave this on a door for months at a time, you may want to consider another option. 5Strong and Reliable Good quality and seem to be sturdy! They have a nice rubber outer case Incase you drop it. We use it for contractors to get into rental properties. I choose this one because I don t have to worry about the contractor not spinning the dial. 5Needed an easy solution to secure keys for contractors to gain access ... Needed an easy solution to secure keys for contractors to gain access to a rental property in between renters. If it was good enough for many realtors, it was good enough for me. Easy to reprogram the code to whatever you want. The only drawback is that the code can be used in any order - but this doesn't matter as there are still a very large number of possible combinations. 4BROKE AFTER 3 WEEKS DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCTIt worked well for 3 weeks, then broke. Completely jammed, both the reset and unlock button. I tried everything to free it up, even looked on their website for troubleshooting (there was none). Avoid wasting you money here. 1Easy & Great - but Wedges Easy I originally bought this product towards the tail-end of January and have been using it for roughly three months now.The instructions for programming the buttons could be worded better, but were otherwise easy to follow. Set up for the lock box was quick and painless! The lock box gets daily use, as I purchased it so that dog walkers could easily get into and out of the house. The top, "OPEN" push-down / release button no longer works. Admittedly, the lock box is located outside without a weather cover; at only three months new, however, I do not believe that the top release button should have malfunctioned, regardless of weather.I would still recommend this product and it does have an $8 weather cover one can add, but I think that for the price of the lock itself it should either come standard with a weather cover or should be in better keep so that it does not malfunction after less than a fourth of a year's use. 3Button broke and couldn t get my keys out. Within 4 months of buying this product, the 7 button stopped working (7 was part of the code I originally set) meaning that when I press the number it won t click to register that the button has been depressed. Unfortunately, this means my keys are currently locked inside. I could see this happening with a cheap lock (Ie under $15 lock), but not for a lock at this price point. I was unable to find the contact seller on my order history form, but suffice to say I m quite disappointed. 1No security here. Don't buy. Just like everyone else said it can easily be opened using any combination of the numbers you set as the code. This is not secure by any means. 1I'm a real estate agent and have been using these ... I'm a real estate agent and have been using these lockboxes for several years. I can never understand why the manufacturer drills a weep hole towards the front of the box and not towards the back. They usually sit with the bottom out slightly and rain water collects inside towards the back - so there's always water inside by the key. I've had to drill a hole myself for years and it's a pain! 3Great for times I forget my house keys This has saved me a few times I forgot to carry a door key with me when leaving the house through the garage. Upon returning realizing I don't have a garage remote nor a house key.The build seems rather durable, although from personal experience, when I moved into my house, the previous owner left his/her keysafe on the garage sidedoor doorknob. I had removed the door knob anyway to change out all the locks, but wanted to experiment with trying to break into it. It wasn't a GE AccessPoint keysafe, but was of the same push-button type. I couldn't effectively break into it by trying button codes. But what I was able to do was take a 4-lb sledge hammer and break it open. A few wallops and the casing bent so that the door could be pryed open.I'm not so much concerned with someone using the sledge hammer trick on my lock box as it's connected to a gas-pipe and would be rather tricky to avoid all the other gas lines before striking the lock box effectively. Plus, if they do get in, I have a home alarm that should wake the neighbors up, if not call the police over.Anyway, I chose the black to make it less visible from the street. Those who know it's there are those I tell or those who snoop around my house. The codes are changed very so often and easily changed. The only problem I have with it is at the angle I have it locked up at makes replacing the door and key. At the angle the key clip seems to be in a position which makes it difficult to close the door completely to lock it. Perhaps this can be attributed to operator-issue, so whatever. As far as durability, no signs of rust or weakness. The lock box has been through 2 seasons of rain here in California. So far, no issues with the lock box, so I rate it 5/5. 5
