Five Stars Fits my inspiron 5755 keyboard great I love it and it came on time 5Highly Recommend!Recently got a new Dell laptop, and I wanted to try one of these keyboard covers to protect the area beneath the keys. This was perfect. It fits like a dream, feels great to touch, and the colors are bright. I highly recommend. (I purchased the rainbow one.)Answers to the questions I initially had:1. Yes, you can still see the backlighting behind the board.2. Yes, it fits the keyboard perfectly.3. You just lay it atop the keyboard and the soft material kind of grips the keys. It is nonslip. It feels really nice to the touch. It's a soft rubbery feeling.4. Yes, you can tell something is on the keyboard. It just lays atop it, so you can see you have something there. It's not seamless, but it doesn't move around at all when typing. I am an extremely fast typer and have few issues with it. The only con here is because of how fast I type, the grippy material sometimes makes my finger slower to get off of the key. It's not a huge issue, though, and I still recommend this product.5. Yes, you can close your laptop with it still on the keys and it will completely close. No issues there.5Almost perfect My laptop keyboard has a red backlight and the print on the keys is clear to show the red light. It's extremely hard to see in many situations. This cover fixes that perfectly. The quality is good, the white print on the black background is very easy to read and overall it does a good job. As others have said, it definitely takes a bit of getting used to and you're more prone to typing mistakes but I can't really fault the cover for that. Some laptop keys are just too close together to really mold each individual key separately. My only complaint is that the edges don't always stay down, especially in the corners. I'm not totally sure it's because of the cover or the shape of the laptop keyboard. In any case it works for the purpose I needed it for.. to be able to see the text on my laptop keys. 4Great keyboard cover for DellI am really happy with this keyboard cover. I didn t even know these things existed except an accountant at my job had one on the same gaming laptop I have and he had the clear cover. I have Amazon Prime, and it shipped out pretty swiftly. They ship out of USPS, so if you don't like/receive packages from USPS, you might want to look elsewhere. The silicone is pretty thin, but not as thin as you'd think from the description.The edges go over the ends of the keyboard. I was afraid that the cover wouldn't stay on because my keys are just so thin. However, it seems to be working well. The rainbow one shows the back-glow fairly well in the dark. I think, if you have white letters, it really helps. I haven't spilled anything on it (and I sure as hell won't do so just for a review on my brand new $1400 laptop..)You have to get used to typing with a keyboard cover. It's not too difficult to do so, but it is something to be aware of. Overall, it's okay. I like the colors, and it fulfills my needs. Recommend.5Pros and Cons to this keyboard coverMy Dell has a backlit keyboard which I need for doing things at night, on the couch while watching tv and don't have a lamp on next to me, as I need to look at the some of the keys to type. I made sure that this cover let the light through -- it does, sort of..... The thing about having the backlit keyboard is the light shows up all the keyboard characters themselves, not just around them (the light shows through each key and makes each character light up too). With this keyboard cover in place it does light up but it's more a "glow" and the light really doesn't come through so that the characters light up very well at all -- very hard to see. Here's the problem. On the Dell keyboard the keys are black and the characters are white. When you use the backlight (which you turn on with an F key) the white characters light up as well as the sides of each key. When you put this keyboard cover on the characters are black which cover up the native white characters and then they don't light up. I will likely use this cover during the day when most likely to spill coffee or crumbs on it but if I use the computer at night I will take it off so I can see my key characters. It is super easy to take on and take off, seems pretty durable. It's like a sheet of silicon, doesn't wrinkle or crease so you can slip on, slip off, lay it aside, put it back on, etc. etc. Overall, great idea for day time use or ok at night IF you don't have a backlit keyboard and are one of those great keyboarders who know every key from memory. If you are like me and have to look you will not be able to use at night if you like/need a backlit keyboard.3Pretty Good So FarI ordered this item and received it in two days. I ordered it to spruce up and personalize my Dell Inspiron 15.6 inch 3552 laptop. I was originally ordering the aqua color IPearl mCover Hard Shell Case and Amazon recommended that I order the keyboard cover too. Both items look really nice. It took me a few minutes to get use to typing with this keyboard and I had to watch a couple of videos on the internet to learn how to properly install both items. The prices were great and I am happy with my decision to purchase.5Just what I needed!I just received this an hour ago. I cleaned off my keyboard of all the dust and laid it on straight out of the package. It fits perfectly, with no adjustments needed. I LOVE the colors and am very pleased. I am typing on it now and have no issues with the feel of it, and I am a texture sensitive person. It is smooth and feels good. I enjoy having personal touches to my area, and even though this is only in my home office, I look forward to when I can take it out to my therapy office in the future. Bright colors cheer me up!
