flimsy designVery portable, but it's a pain to attach to the Aputure Amaran. It also doesn't easily hold shape. The foldable frame kept curving in on me. Had to return. Decided to go with Aputure's EZ BOX + II Softbox instead. More expensive, but worth the extra money (and something you can easily keep attached to the LED in storage).2Simple, flexible and Versatile softboxSimple, flexible and Versatile softbox. Fits a variety of LED panels. The snap on grid is also thoughtful. Collapses light mini flexfill reflectors. I'm curious how long the stitching that holds the magnetic struts will last, but with responsible use, no issues so far. Happy with my purchase. Recommend.4It works and is the only solution for getting soft light out of the current trend of LED'sExcellent product. There is only one drawback... the mechanism in which they connect to your light is a little unsure. I'm thinking one with a nylon strap that you ratchet down might be better... but at $49 with an indespensible grid... I'm not gonna really complain. It works and it works good enough. Does it work well? Yes it does. Could it be better... yes it could... Is it great S it is...OHHHH YEEAAAAAH! Note: I'm using a YN-900. At full power with no diffusion straight out the box I get ISO 800, F5.6, 1/48second shutter at 5ft away for video. With the diffusion as well as the grid I lose 1.5 stops of light.4Didn't want to spend this much $, but I don't regret it. Works fine on Yongnuo YN900Much better than the smaller $20 one I used to have from another brand. This is bigger, includes eggcrate, and (so far) doesn't warp into an embarrassing twisted mess from being stored in its bag. Who knows, that might change. If it does, I'll knock my review down accordingly. Recommended.5Beautiful soft light, Easy and PortableFor the price I expected something flimsy that seemed like a cool idea but didn't deliver. Boy was I wrong.I typically use large 24x24" Chimera Softbox attached to a 600W or 1k Arri Fresnel ($500 dollar light and $400 softbox) to achieve a look incredibly similar to what I've just seen out of this $50 softbox and any $100 or less LED light. I'm using the GVM 580 and I must say how impressed I am with the soft light this box produces. The egg crate is very effective at narrowing the focus of the light which is useful for creative lighting interviews.There is a very small amount of light leakage from the back where the velcro attaches to the light that isn't very noticeable and can be easily solved with a small piece of black wrap.The box snaps into place easily using little magnetic poles, is compact and very light on the light head itself, and folds into a very small compact case for travel. I can see me buying another one and carrying my $400 Chimera on jobs less and less unless it's specifically requested. The look and softness of light out of this little box is impressive, and the build quality seems like it will last quite a while.Not much negative I can say about this. For those criticizing the lack of ability to tilt the light with this attached, most lights have both horizontal and vertical holes in the yoke to attach to the light stand. Use the side yoke (like in my photos) and you can tilt the light with no problem.5Does the job but is a little pricey.I really like this softbox but I knocked a star because of the price. It s the only softbox on Amazon with a grid so I m just waiting until someone else makes another one for a cheaper price.The straps and Velcro work great and the diffused fabric is a nice texture to dispurse the light evenly.4Easy to carry.Velcro-straps to a light with barn doors nicely. Offers a *fair* amount of softening to a multi-bulb LED but you ultimately still end up with a fairly "directional" source. You'd need a much bigger scrim to get true soft light. The magnetic side posts work OK but can be easily knocked or collapsed as you move it around. Easily fixed once you're set up. Folds up to a super small and light package. This kit which includes the grid IMO is necessary to prevent side spill from the face of the source. Not a concern if you are in a wide open area. Knocks off maybe 1/2 stop of light or less. Over all if you have a source with barn doors, I question what this offers over clipping a piece of diffusion over the partially closed doors to soften the source. To truly soften a light, you need to have it further back from a larger diffuser. But if you're using multiple lights and moving fairly light/quickly, this will work well, keeping you from being weighted down with scrims, etc. while modifying a raw source nicely. Doubt it will be very stable in windy conditions. Over all, it's not a "wow", but its a nice lightweight and inexpensive addition to the arsenal.4Almost perfect...These are great! I was worried about the quality compared to price, but I feelLike the quality outshines the price. I used this for a traveling interview shoot and it is small and compact when folded. Perfect for run and gun lighting!Only CON is I wish the magnets had a sleeve like the round D-Fuse comes with.4Quality, Fast Easy Setup, Inexpensive Compared to Alternatives!These things work great! if you have any kind of LED panel light, these can fit on just about any of them. They don't need any frames or adapters for specific lights. They cut down about a stop or two of light for reference. But they work great to diffuse the light, minimize the little micro shadows inherent to an LED panel light, and work to make it just a little bigger source for softer light. And the optional eggcrate/grid works great to bring the angle of light output down to 20 -30 or so, effectively allowing you to keep your light on your subject and off of your background. Quality is really decent for the price point, I think it will hold up pretty well. I have a couple of buddies that have used them extensively in a pro environment for a few years now, and they are still holding up with minor visible wear. Setup is really easy and fast. Compared to other much more expensive($300-$500!) offerings from Chimera, Wescott and the like, this is faster, easier, more effective, and so much less money.5Great little soft boxI bought this for my K4000 Led panels. The fit is a little loose and I have tried to use the included straps to tighten it but depending on the angle it does have a little issue. The grid definitely helps to control spread but I was not happy with the amount of light that was cut. I really wish you could take the diffusion cloth off and just use the the grid but the diffusion cloth is sewn into the product. Overall I am very happy with the product and helps me to use one of my diffusion panels as tight hair light.4
