Great cable for a really great price I wasn't expecting the cable to be this high quality for the price I paid. The construction is just as good as cables costing 3 times as much. The splicing of 1 into two is very nicely done not cheaper or overly built in any way. The cable its self has a very good weight to it but not overly heavy yet still flexible enough. Connection to the RCA ports is nice and secure just tight enough for a good connection but not so tight that it connecting is a pain. As far as sound quality goes its sounds good to me for what ever that's worth. This cable is connected to a powered subwoofer on one end and a vintage Nakamichi receiver on the other. 4The center plug and surrounding connection tabs are very brittle ... UPDATE The center plug and surrounding connection tabs are very brittle due to the fact that they are made of gold plating over a plastic base. The right channel cable broke leaving the center plug inside the connection rendering it unusable.UPDATE: The above cable was replaced under warranty, so kudos for that. However, the replacement cable is just as bad. My system doesn't get used much but gets shifted around by the kids sometimes. I went though two cables in a little over three years, seems like the warranty is set up to expire just before the average cable breaks. I wouldn't pay more than $6 for a similar cable. 1Perfect for subwoofers Very useful for connecting subwoofers that have two RCA inputs and the receiver has only one subwoofer output. I got two of these, one for my Polk Audio PSW10 subwoofer and one for my Monoprice subwoofer, since both have the double RCA inputs. 5Work just fine. I can't really say much else about them. They work fine, are flexible, make good connections, and give me no problems. I would have to take one apart to see exactly how well-made they are, but what's the point in that? Good value for the money. 5Perfect Sound, Look, & Feel Great cable, especially considering the relatively low cost compared to other brand name manufacturers. The cable connectors look like pro-series connectors should, and feel very durable, just as the cable jacket does - nice and thick. Sound quality is CRYSTAL clear.I purchased this RCA Y cable for use with my Polk Audio PSW10 subwoofer, which rather than offering an LFE audio input from the receiver, has L & R RCA input. The directions say to use a single-channel RCA cable from the receiver and to connect to EITHER the L or R input, but adding this Y cable absolutely made for a significant increase in loudness without having to turn the subwoofer volume all the way up. Not only that, but this KabelDIrekt cable 100% eliminated the noise/feedback I was getting through the subwoofer when using another name-brand cable.The only con I might note would be the coupling housing (at the "Y"), which is relatively flat, but rectangular and rigid at the corners. This may be a concern if you need to feed this cable through tight or overcrowded spaces as it will definitely snag other cables. I would have knocked a star for this, but given the other advantages I had from the cable and the fact that I would never need to feed it through a tight space, I stuck with the 5 stars. Would absolutely purchase again. 5Perfect For SubWoofer I have a Jamo 800 Sub, Jamo 35 satillite speakers with Yamaha RXA 730 reciever. The Sub has left and right RCA hookup while my reciever only has one RCA SUB hookup. For a long time I only had one RCA from the Jamo 800 Sub to the receiver. Boy, did this cable make a difference! I highly recommend that if you have a subwoofer with left and right RCA port and a receiver with only one sub woofer RCA port, that you use this cable. It will make all the difference in your listening experience and sound quality! This cable is great quality for a great price. Amazon never lets me down! 5Highly Recommended: Great Value and Quality.. After being very pleased with my first set of stereo RCAs from KabelDirect, I ordered these splitters as an upgrade. I was horrified when the components stopped working immediately after swapping to the KabelDirect Y splitters. I fiddled for an hour and subsequently requested to return the Y splitters. Unrelenting, I deconflicted the problem with my component manufacturer (Adcom 555ii owners manual) and it had nothing to do with the cables. My amplifiers do not permit or require dual RCA inputs when bridged -signal input into the left channel only. I am a bit wiser and humbled by the whole experience. Anyway, I cannot recommend Kabel Direct enough as they have great build characteristics at a great price. What more could one ask for... 5Quality that exceeds expectations! The KabelDirekt Audio adapter I recently purchased performs flawlessly. I was surprised by the level of quality that went into the manufacturing of this product. With its heavy-gauge cable, gold-tipped connectors, and overall construction, I feel sure that a finer cable is not available at any price. I recommend this product. 5Solved my issue with a non-functional Subwoofer with L & R inputs!!!!! Most powered subwoofers with auto shut off feature have issues with "turning on". I have a Yamaha subwoofer that would not turn on. I could only hear it if I unplugged the power and plugged it in again. Then it would stop working minutes afterwards. I was using a single RCA cable from my Onkyo receiver to the sub (which had 2 inputs for L/Mono & R). I then read in an online A/V forum that this is a very common issue! One of the solutions was to get a splitter RCA cable and connect it to both inputs of the subwoofer. That solved my issue and I am now finally enjoying my sub. Excellent! 5Good price on this European product compared to the offerings ... I haven't actually listened through these yet, but the quality of materials used and the construction is top rate. The wire is substantial but still flexible, and they're well shielded. Those of you who think wires don't matter might be surprised by what high quality interconnects can do. The proof's in the listening, but Judging by their construction I expect these to sound top rate as well. If you can avoid using wifi for that sub, do so. Good price on this European product compared to the offerings from other "audiophile" companies. If it turns out they don't sound good, I'll repost, but for now I'll stand on my recommendation. 5
