They Don't Last Long! Had these for 5 years and they suddenly stopped working on the right side. Turned out the thin wire that goes in the right earphone came lose, I pulled it out only to find that it had only been attached with a small piece of scotch tape. Imagine that, a $40.00 pair of earphone whose wiring is only attached by a piece of scotch tape!! And what's even worse is, I only used them about 6 times in the 5 years I had them so they were still like brand new! I am so freakin' angry that I have lost $40 and it's too late to get it back. I have gotten so much garbage from Amazon, it's not even funny. At least I was early enough to get refunded on the other crap I bought on Amazon. Good luck on your chances of buying anything worth a crap here!!! My advice...you can start saving yourself the grief by NOT buying these lousy earphones that are wired with scotch tape because you can't fix them once the wire falls out! 1Good, not great. I've purchased probably a dozen jlab earbuds over the years. This is my first over-ear headphones from jlab and I'm not nearly as satisfied with these as I have been with other jlab products. They sound to me as if there is a layer of cardboard between the speaker and my ear. The mid-bass overwhelms, the highs sound muffled to me, and the presence is just not there. The ear foam makes an obnoxious crinkling sound that happens from the slightest movement like moving your jaw. I think some attenuation could make a small improvement but I would prefer something that just sounds pleasing out of the box. Maybe I shouldn't expect as much from a $40 pair of headphones, after all, in the spectrum of headphones, these are cheap.UPDATE: 2/5/2018I've had these 8 days now. The sound may have improved ten percent or so I presume from break-in, or maybe just getting used to them. Still not phenomenal. The little button on the cord broke, the cover fell off and I don't know where it went. In the past Jlab has been good with their warranty but for this, I won't worry about it, just cosmetic. I have a pair of Bluetooth Omni headphones on the way. Omni cost 2.5 X as much but get better reviews in regards to sound so the Bombora are about to be stowed. I like to shop on a budget and try to find things that work well but cost less. Unfortunately, these didn't really cut it for me so you don't necessarily save money every time that way. 3Great, but fall apart easily These headphones have great sound quality with very good bass and they are easily the most comfortable headphones I've ever owned; however, the cushions fall off very easily. I have owned 3 pairs because I love the sound and I had hoped that maybe I just got a defected one, but after 3 pairs I'm giving up. My 62lb lab mix has landed on them a few times while jumping up on the bed and they're still intact and working just fine. The bass is easily distorted, so I had to mess with the EQ on my player to get it to sound decent, but once zeroed in, they sound pretty ok. It is a Headphone that certainly sounds Good for the money.The Headphones click with all Music genres and are possibly comfortable to wear for hours at a time. The Only 2 Cons of the Headphones are #1 the Headphones do not fold up, #2 Con is that there is a Little bit of an Echoey sound in the Headphones sometimes, Music does sound a bit Echoey, with a Echo Feedback coming from the Headphones, the Only way that I get rid of the Echo sound, is by adjusting the Equalizer on My Computer or iPod. When I turn all the way down the midrange frequencies in the middle 250 Hz, and 500 Hz, level down on Equalizer then the Headphones Sound a lot Better or Sound Fine. The JLab Bombora Headphones are really Comfortable to wear and I think well-suited for day-to-day use. The Sound is very Clear, Crisp and has a Nice Excellent Bass. I still give them 5 Stars, especially for the prices on Amazon.com. I Would Recommend these if you are into Your Music Listening primarily. 5Doesn't last long There are certain items such as this that I tend to wait to review for good cause. While many reviews claimed that it was as good as Skull Candy, I don't believe they adequately followed up. I bought one for each of my kids who are quite responsible. They both said they loved the sound and having a mic for when calls came it was great. Unfortunately, the speakers blew out after only 3 months. The supposed "no tangle" wire frayed off and the cords tangled all the time.Now I realize that $14 may not seem much but I've purchased Memorex ones from frys that lasted longer than this. It's package in phenomenal packaged, the headrest cel cushion is great but the speaker quality duration just doesn't cut the mustard. Sure, sure maybe they listened too loud bladdy bladdy blah. Not my kids because I always check their levels.Additionally, the colors they came in were more muted compared to their vibrant picture counterparts. I absolutely can't stand manipulating colors through photography.Just show what the ACTUAL product looks like. 2Disappointed I am really surprised that I have to write such a negative review of a J Labs product. But the quality of this product is extremely disappointing. I bought these for my son and in less than two weeks, the ear pad separated from the headphone. To make things worse, I contacted J Labs about registering the product and acquiring a replacement, but they have yet to respond and it's been nearly a week since I emailed them. I have been a huge J Labs fan for a few years and have been very satisfied with a number of their products, but something has changed with their company over the course of the past year. I hope that this is a misstep on their part as I now have to look at other options when I need replacement headphones. 2Kid tough These headphones are really great! I bought myself a pair a year or so ago and they held up really well.The real test was when I went looking for headphones for my kids and every pair of cute kid's headphones fell apart in a week. Even the most "durable" branded kid's just couldn't last. I finally broke down and out of frustration, got them each a pair of these as my last resort. I regret not doing it sooner! They've survived a cross-country trip, and several months of regular use by a 4 and 7 year old, at that! Ive had to replace the wire a few times and pop the cushions back on but that's user damamge, not a faulty product. A regular AUX wire works just fine. They can really take a beating and still keep working.Im very happy with my purchase. 5... pair of JLab headphones from another seller and was delighted with them I purchased a pair of JLab headphones from another seller and was delighted with them. The sound was clear and true, plus they were super comfortable without being heavy or awkward. I had that pair for two years and it wasn't until recently that they started to have the lining pull away from the earmuff part, along with the grey faux leather part peeling. The store that I originally purchased them from no longer has them available, so I searched on Amazon. I was so happy to find them here! I purchased the pink pair. Today they arrived and when I took them from the box, the lining in the earmuff was already pulling away and the green foam inside was exposed. I seriously couldn't believe it. They work perfectly and the sound is just as good as they were before, so I'm going to keep them because it's more of a hassle to return them.So disappointed in the quality of these. 2Over all the headphones are comfortable and fit around the ear just right Over all the headphones are comfortable and fit around the ear just right. When you apply the headphones to your ears the speaker makes a crackling noise when you apply enough pressure to make sure they are sitting correctly around your ears. It is quit annoying and does hurt my ears. To remedy this I just make sure not apply the pressure that makes them crackle.On to the sound, with a decent eq you can get the desired sound you like from the music you listen to. I love bass but can be overwhelming at times but like I was saying with an eq can turn it down to get the highs and mids to shine as well as the bass.The issue I have with them is the right pad just simply fell off with adjusting them on my ears and there is no way to put them back on. I have already tried to address this with jlab but they want me to ship them back for inspection at my cost which would be half the cost I paid for these things. I understand that companies need to watch costs when it comes to shipping but this is ridiculous when it comes to warranty exchanges. Just be fore warned these are very fragile and you need to be very gentle with them if you want them to last more than 3 months. 2
