Water tastes funny! Don't throw away the box!Replaced because the old tank bladder collapsed/tore/no longer was able to produce more than a few ounces of water. Unfortunately, the water still has an odd, rubber taste. We've run hundreds of gallons of water through the tank and its getting better. That's a class act, and I will be back to iSpring for all future needs!5Good tank, lousy packaging The last time I replaced my RO filters, I knew my tank was bad...the water just sat in the tank. I'm pretty sure its bladder had broken. I almost bought a replacement tank from Watts, because I've been using their replacement filters (Watts 5-PK-4SV Premier 1-Year 4-Stage Reverse Osmosis Replacement Filter Kit, 5-Pack) for the past couple years and have been very happy. However, their tank cost with shipping seemed pretty high.So, I searched Amazon, and was impressed at the high reviews this iSpring tank is getting.Highlights:1) I didn't need to buy any additional connectors. I just removed the old valves from the old tank and put them on this one. If you have some teflon tape, you might not need anything else. (Of course, this depends on your current setup...if your old tank has a 1/4" threaded connector, then this should be a good match. If not, you can by a cheap adapter and still make this work.)2) It's ready to go, right out of the box: Already pressurized, all I needed to do was swap out the old tank and I was good to go.1 Complaint:The packaging was simply awful. Imagine forcing a cylinder into a box that's too small. It will push out the sides of the box, and the box will take on a cylindrical shape. That was the case with this tank. There was no padding to protect the tank. As a result, it was dented in three places. I considered sending it back, but other reviewers have noted that the tank can still work fine with the dents. So far so good, but someone REALLY needs to improve this. I'd be willing to spend an extra dollar or two on the tank if it meant safer shipping. The only reason I did not give a 5-star rating was because of the damage to the tank.1 Note:At first, I thought I received the wrong tank. This says it's a 4-Gallon tank. However, read the details and you will see that it actually is only designed to hold 3.2 gallons of water (I assume this is because of the space taken up by the tank's bladder.) Not a big deal for me, but just make sure you know what you're getting.All in all, other than the bad packaging, this tank is a great replacement at a great price. 4Easy to assemble. Easy to assemble.5What ai was looking for.Works like the smaller original tank that was provided by my RO water filter system. But, now i can fill an entire water jug, tea jug or other large volume container within a reasonable amount of time than before. Footprint takes up a little more width under the sink. But, if your creative--you can make it work.5Works great with my Whirlpool WHER25 I installed this is in a few minutes without tools. First I shut off the water supply, then I let all of the pressure out of the system by leaving the tap open. I unscrewed the existing valve from the old tank, and screwed it onto this one by hand after putting teflon tape on the threads. Done.I changed my tank because my old one kept losing pressure, and repressurizing it wouldn't last but a few days. This new tank is great. 5Please not that you may need to adjust the pressure (much like a tire) The purpose of the storage tank is to allow faster flow from the filter tap. Filtered water is kept under pressure in this tank and then released at a much higher flow rate than if you simply connect the filters to the tap.For those with a well or mechanical pump, this device add capacitance to the system and allows your pump to cycle on and off less frequently, extending pump life and resulting in a more constant pressure at the tap.As a result, it saves a lot of time filling glasses or pots, and otherwise stays out of sight. This device worked as promised, and I've had it for several years.Please not that you may need to adjust the pressure (much like a tire). It connects via a simple threaded connector, I bought a quick connect one for a few $ at a big box store, which should take no more than 3 minutes. 5Great Unit my old tank was constantly losing pressure and the R/O unit was only putting out 20 ounces of water at a time and that was taking too long. with this new tank I can easily fill an large pitcher in no time with no problems. I love it! 5Works good so far Item arrived in excellent condition as it was double boxed. So they must have listened to the complaints of dented tanks. Anyhow, it works great and we're getting a fantastic amount of water out of our RO system again. Water tastes good, no funny off flavors. I double checked the air pressure and it was spot on at 7 lbs prior to installing. Hopefully it lasts more than 2 yrs. This is my 3rd RO tank in 6 yrs. These things seem to be designed with a life expectancy of about 2 yrs which is appalling. 4NSF is printed on the box and came with a free 1/4"NPT 1/4"quick C valve. I bought this to replace my WATTS Premier WP-4V RO water filter tank (and it is identical). I tested the air pressure but water came out so It means the air bladder has a hole in it. Installed and seemed fine and happy with it. It came Pre-Pressurized at 6.5 psi (yes, I bought a digital air pressure gauge)-I would return it if it is not (bec the description says it is and IF not, it meant it leaked). Fast delivery and worked as described. Round NSF seal is printed on the box and came with a free 1/4"NPT 1/4" quick connect valve and the X plastic stand. Unfortunately my Watts 4 stage RO was designed to input a blue 3/8" hose so I cannot use the new valve. The male stainless on top of the tank is identical to my old one and this with 1/4" NPT, so I just used the original elbow connector (1/4" NPT to 3/8"). It has a round USA flag on the sticker that means it could be manufactured locally (dreaming). Now for longevity, I've been an Amazon customer for a long time and I always update my review. 5Check air pressure! This replaced a smaller, original RO tank that had started leaking in the bladder; couldn't keep air pressure in it. I have no problems with this new tank, except that I assumed the correct air pressure was set at the factory, as that's what the minimal paperwork that came with it indicated....so.....I didn't check it at all, just put it in service a couple of weeks ago. Since then I had noticed there just wasn't good pressure at the faucet, nor much reserve. I finally had time yesterday to check things, and discovered it had over 60 psi in the tank. 60 is as high as my air gauge goes, so don't know what it really was. I bled it back down to where it should be, around 7-8 psi, and my RO system now works as it should. Good tank, but lesson learned: check the air pressure before using!Update....tank must be defective, as it will not hold air pressure, and now gets waterlogged. Poor quality; buy elsewhere. 1Review for Ispring T32M it s the same as PAE Ro132 but it s rebranded and $8. CheaperThey simply use a new sticker and don t even take the time to take the old one off ,its fine by me In the pictures you can see one sticker on top of another The Ispring T32m is eight dollars cheaper and mine came with a plastic shut off valve although the valve isn t of the highest quality regardless I m quite happy it works great4Needs better quality controlThere was no box damage, but the tank came dented2A great addition to my RO system to increase capacity! I added this tank to my existing RO tank, and I now no longer run out of water when filling a pot or large water container (like my growler). My 64 oz growler used to take a long time to fill, because the water pressure would drop so low when the original RO tank was getting nearly empty. With the addition of this tank in the system, there is now more than enough capacity left after filling the 64 oz growler, so it fills all 64 oz quickly.In order to add this in to my system, I purchased a valve for the top of the tank (JG Speedfit PPSV501222WP 3/8-Inch by 1/4-Inch NPFT Female Elbow Shut Off Valve) and a tee (JG Speedfit PP0212WP 3/8-Inch OD Union Tee). I had enough remaining 3/8" plastic pipe left over from the initial installation, otherwise you would need some of that as well. It would be similar to John Guest Blue 100 ft/roll 3/8" Polyethylene Tube Tubing Drinking Water RO Reverse Osmosis DI Aquarium Pipe LLDPE, however, you would likely only need a few feet. 5i get about 2 gallons out of it I don't drink the water out of this, its for my fishtankI have a RO/DI systemi put this tank before the DI filter.when everything is empty, and the output is turned offit fills the tank with RO water.when i turn output on, it takes RO water from the tank and runs it though the DI filter (maybe to fast) I still get 0 TDS from the water.when i turn the output off (after i get 2 gallons, it really slows down to a trickle at 2 gallons, like just what the RO makes without the tank)Then the system fills the tank up so i can get a quick 2 gallons the next day.my fish tank uses 1-2 gallons of water for evaporation every day. my 50 GPD RO/DI system can get me enough extra water that i can do water changes if i let it pour water a few times a day.Perfect Size (would be nice to get 3 gallons out of it though)** Note, my first tank leaked water out of the valve Top (the turn off leaked, not the tank), on top of the pressure tank, replaced and working fine 4Listed 4 gallon capacity is not accurate. iSpring customer service confirmed.Purchased ispring complete RO system including pump about a year ago with the standard 4 gallon tank (3.2 gallon water capacity). We wanted more water storage so purchased the ispring 5.5 (4 gal capacity). Tested empty pressure is 8.5 lbs (37lbs full). Once completely full, the tank will only give 3 gallons of water after a very long 9 minutes, the initial gallon output is very fast but the additional two gallons progressively get slower to a trickle. It's very frustrating to have gone to the effort and expense to upgrade to the bigger tank and have 3 gallons of water storage with this "4-gallon capacity" 5.5 gallon tank. Ispring customer service responded that the recommended pressure will yield 3-4 gallons. Obviously it's 3 not 4 and they've misrepresented the stated capacity of this tank in the listing.1New bigger tankI added this new larger volume tank in addition to a 75 GPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane, and I don't think I'll have to worry about running out of drinking water again.5Arrived in perfect shape, and worked fine Typical 3.2 actual storage tank. Arrived in perfect shape, and worked fine. Replaced my old tank and this new tank is now like heaven compared to the old one that only put out a cup or two. I just unboxed it, and swapped out the old one. It took about 5 minutes. Note, when it arrives, the stand is screwed into the inlet/outlet to protect. Just quickly unscrew it, and put the tank on the stand. I used some pipe thread on it to to be safe. The tank seems solid and exactly as expected.If you found this review helpful please vote helpful. No longer running our of waterUsed the 5.5 gallon tank to replace a smaller tank previously using with my Watts Premier Reverse Osmosis Pure Plus System that was constantly running out of water. So far so good. Haven't run out of water yet with this new tank and water pressure has been good. Very easy to install. No tools required, although I did tape the threads of the tank before installing to help ensure no leaks. Would I recommend: Definitely yes.5Great upgradeMuch better than the stock unit. The larger capacity is convenient when filling larger containers. Old tank used to get slow after about 2 quarts. This one did a couple gallons no problem.5
