Customer Reviews

Awesome general purpose glove I absolutely love these gloves. I work on the conversion crew at a large indoor stadium and had to replace my leather palmed gloves (Wells Lamont or similar) every year or so because the fingers would always tear apart. 7 months with these Ironclad gloves and they still look new (minus some dirt that a washing would cure). These are some of the only gloves that I've been able to thread small nuts or bolts with, and still have a good tactile feel of what I'm doing. The TPR cuff puller is one of the best things I didn't know I needed. All of my old gloves had elastic at the cuff, and that would get stretched and destroyed from getting pulled on. The soft cloth on the back side of the thumb (Ironclad markets it as a lens wipe) makes a handy nose wipe if you've got a runny nose and you're outside driving a forklift while it's snowing......or you know, whatever it is that you do.If I had one dislike, is the light colored palm, that is now more of a charcoal color thanks to grease, grime, and the rubber infill pellets used in athletic turf. The next pair will get washed occasionally to see if they'll come clean, but I'm torture testing this current pair to see how long they can last.EDIT October 2018: still rocking the original pair with great results. Can tell the fingers are starting to wear, but are still holding up w/ zero holes or tears. Have had to clean them due to grease, washed in the sink with some liquid laundry detergent and a bristle brush...palms were nearly black from grime, brought back to an almost original light gray color. 5The perfect fit! I was looking for something that I could use all day and not feel cramped or like my hands were swimming in some sweaty stinky oversized glove. The Ironclad General Utility Work glove is perfect for me. As a Heavy Equipment Operator I find myself in and out of my equipment all day. Sometimes I have to use shovels and sledge hammers and sometimes I have to do maintenance and repairs. What I like most about these gloves is that I can do everything with them on and not struggle with abilities to grab tools and things or struggle to hold on to them. The one thing I will say is I can t always use my cell phone with them on. I guess having a screen protector hinders the ability to use my phone with them on. Other than that they are extremely comfortable and fit like a glove should fit. Thank you Ironclad! 5These are the gloves for general purpose work. Very durable, very comfortable I'm a professional handi-man. I need gloves every day. I've tried them all, and these are the ones I use for every day work. They are soft and comfortable, yet very durable. Quality over the last 8 years has been excellent. Use the HEAVY gloves for the really nasty work; use the GENERAL glove for every day. 5High Quality product for the money spent. I have used other brands with some more costly and some cheaper but for the money these are by far the best gloves in this price range (and some much more costly) I have used to date ever. They are very well made and a true quality product that fit perfect. I have found them to be durable yet light weight and super comfortable to have on my hands. I have not had or found one issue with these gloves and set down and ordered 2 more pairs from Amazon because when you find something that truly works perfect you can't get it anymore by the time you need a replacement item.In the end I wish I had found these gloves years ago and I will not be using any other product as long as I can get these from AMAZON. Someone finally got gloves right (Quality Product) nice job Iornclad you nailed it with these. 5I will be buying more if they ever wear out! I'm very impressed with these work gloves. I was looking for a high quality and economical alternative to the Mchnx gloves for work projects. I've been using this pair for 4 months digging with a jackhammer, mixing concrete, moving yards of materials and doing construction and they are still going strong. No holes, no tears, no material failures of any kind during the long period of abuse that I have been putting them thru. Very sturdy and good materials. Difficult to operate a cell phone or pick up small objects with fingertips, but then again, that is not why I need them. I bought 3 different styles of Iron Clad in order to assess them......these General Utilities are so tough that I haven't even opened the other two yet. I will be buying more of these for sure when I need good work gloves. 5These gloves are the best! My first pair lasted over a year These gloves are the best! My first pair lasted over a year, and I abused them! Clearing brush, tending fire, chopping wood, you name it! The finger pads finally started to fall off and i had cut through the palm when using a grinding wheel, otherwise, they still work. I just wanted a afresh pair! I highly recommend them 5Solid gloves that outperform their price I have used these gloves to do a ton of yard work and home improvement projects and they have held up admirably. They are starting to show wear in a few areas (particularly the fingertip areas), but I can't hold that against the gloves themselves. I would expect that even much more expensive gloves would be starting to fall apart after the work I've done with pouring concrete, building fences, and medium duty woodworking and construction projects around the house. The only real flaw I notice is that they always seemed to fit a little tight in a few spots, particularly in the thumb tips (even after they were broken in). I don't have unusually large hands and I did purchase the large size, but they still felt a little too snug in those spots. 4Tougher than expected Bought these after reading all the reviews about how tough they are. I used to get full leather gloves, and my hands got hot and sweaty. I wanted something a little more breathable, but was worried about them holding up. Well, I've only been using them a month or so, but so far, so good. I have handled concrete, shingles, dirt, rocks, tools, logs, mud, you name it. They are dirty, but otherwise unscathed. For half the price of other gloves, color me impressed.UPDATE: it's now a month and a half since my review, still going strong with no wear. 5Absolute Garbage Just got them last night and not even halfway through my workday and the fingers are already starting to split. Lasted about 2 hours ish. 1Glove Are 5 Star; Sizing Is A 3 Disappointed by the sizing. I measured both hands and even got help with someone else verifying the measurements. Item was too large when it arrived but I needed work gloves by that point so just used them anyway. I am a right-handed, 5'2" female with hand diameter of 7&1/4" measured around the knuckles. The small should have fit me given the chart but the gloves are too big. The fingers are slightly too long - if I push the glove down so that my fingers are right at the bottom of the glove fingers then I have about a 1/4 - 1/2" at the tip of each; not terrible but tends to catch on things. The main problem is the hand area is way too big - I could literally stuff both hands into one glove there is that much room in the metacarpal area of the gloves. While this is probably good if you have large or thick hands, I do not so it made the gloves slide around way too much, both side to side and back and forth so that when the glove slides forward away from my wrist my fingers nearly are able to come out of the fingers of the glove. I am also small boned so the Velcro at the wrist has to be cinched way tight but I am used to that so expected it.The gloves themselves are really nice and are exactly as described. The brand on the back of the glove is a thick rubber and protects your knuckles from abrasions and pinch points. The palm side is reinforced on the thumb and first 2 fingers which is exactly where you need extra material and protection. The same extra protection is sewn over the interior knuckles and at the heel of the hand. All the seams were sewn nice and flat inside and out with nothing jabbing into the hands while in the gloves especially when carrying heavy items. (I just hate gloves that have seams between the fingers that rub when you are working, lifting or carrying!)I wish that these came in an XS as I think that would be perfect for me. I also wish that I could find a glove that is made for small handed people (i.e. many women) but is also a true "work glove" and not the thin ones so often made/advertised for women. This one is close but not quite It. This one is truly a "men's work glove" for larger handed individuals. 4
