Customer Reviews

Great protective thin case This case is a great alternative to the over priced silicone case from Apple. The corners are thick providing great protection from drops and the cut outs are a decent size( the headphone cutout could have been designed a little better). I did have a slight problem with the edges coming up when using a glass screen protector with this case, especially when pressing the power button. I am currently using this case with an Apple Smart Cover, and they look and work very well together. 4The PERFECT iPad Pro 9.7 and Apple Smart Cover companion. I just got an iPad Pro 9.7 and was searching on-line for a keyboard case for it. I was "sold' a Apple Smart Cover with Keyboard when I got the pad not fully understanding that it just covers the face of the pad not the backside. So I went on-line to look for something else, something similar if not the same as the ZAGG I have currently on my iPad2. There are many options but none came close to the ZAGG even their version of the case was a disappointment. I wanted something the pad would lock into securely while protecting the aluminum back. Most looked awkward and I was not confident about the keyboard staying in place with just magnets. I will admit I'm a totally spoiled by the ZAGG I had been using and expected they would have developed a similar model that would accomodate the four speakers and reduced size of the Pro. I kept up my search and discovered this LUVVITT clear case that is totally compatible with the Apple Smart Case I already have. It fits perfectly and is completely compatible with the Smart Cover and actually gives the pad sitting on the keyboard better stability. I found the iPad by itself sitting in the magnetic groove on the keyboard floppy and awkward to type on my lap. Because it's clear you can still see the sexy gold aluminum backside of the the pad and it wraps around it with generous but not too bulky bumpers. I couldn't be more delighted with it. It keeps the pad lightweight, protected and not too bulky. Some one mentioned that the power button was covered and did not have the cut outs like the volume controls on the side. It is covered but I believe it's a plus because such it is protected by the beefier corner pumpers and still works fine. I suspect this will discolor with age as most clear covers are apt to do, but at such an affordable price, buy two and put one away for later if it's a concern. Yeah, I highly recommend it for those wanting to keep the backs of their pads pristine, and properly protected and still have the use of the Smart Cover. No, it's not as chic as some cases but I think it serves to compliment the original integrity of tablet protocol. That being lightweight, efficient and without the bulk of a laptop. I included some pictures that show how it works with the Smart Cover and magnet. Well worth it at twice the price. 5This is the perfect case for my new iPad Pro 9.7 I agree with the previous poster - this LUVVIT case is perfect for my iPad Pro 9.7. It's made of TPU, so it has a good feel in the hand, and the texture around all four sides improves the grip. It's perfectly clear, so I can see the beauty of my gold iPad through it. It fits well, with perfectly sized and positioned openings for all four speakers. The openings for the camera, flash, microphones, headphone jack, volume buttons, and the Lightning connector are perfectly placed and allow easy use of the connectors and controls. The power button is covered, but it's easy to find by touch, and it works well. I hope I never need them, but the padded corner bumpers should protect my iPad if I should drop it. Finally, it works with the official Apple Smart Cover without leaving a lot of the metal back exposed. It's perfect for my needs, and my husband loves the one I got for his new iPad Pro 9.7 as well. 5Fits perfectly and works as expected I usually buy official Apple cases for my iPads, but the case & cover combination for the iPad Pro is something excessive like $120. I don't mind paying a bit more for Apple products, but that's just out of line. Consequently, I ordered the black LUVVITT case for my 9.7 Pro. It fits perfectly--all the holes and gaps line up with the ports and buttons on the iPad Pro. The auto-wake/sleep function works without any changes. It's thinner than I expected, but it'll keep the screen and cover from being scratched. It's priced well for what it does. 5I think this might be close to the perfect iPad Pro case at this price. This is one of the few soft TPU cases I've seen that have a cutout for the smart cover, which was the original reason I bought it.The case fits snugly like a glove, and the cutouts for speakers, microphones, camera, flash, headphone jack, lightning cord, etc. are all precise and clean. The reinforced bumpers on the 4 corners seem like they will offer great protection in case of any drops, and the whole case's size works very well with the Apple smart cover (which is sized a little wider than the iPad itself this generation). The power button for some reason has a raised nub on top of it rather than being a cutout like the volume buttons are. I wonder if this is for protection if dropped or some other reason, but I see this on a lot of iPad cases. It makes the power button kind of stiff to press - you may or may not care about that, it doesn't bother me.One thing that isn't specified in the description is whether the smart cover will attach to the iPad magnetically when folded around the back of the iPad. Yes, this cover is indeed thin enough that the smart cover attaches without a problem.Lastly, a word about the seller: They respond to requests super quickly and were happy to accomodate even pain in the butt requests from me. I pre-ordered this case when it wasn't available on Prime yet, then I realized I was half asleep and ordered the wrong one (without the cutout). Emailed them, they fixed it within an hour or two. Then it became available on Prime. Emailed them, they let me cancel the other one and re-order with Prime so it arrived with my iPad on launch day. 5cover material cracks easily Previous review, 5 stars:A good ipad case. It does not get hot and zap my battery like some cases have. The gold color is as pictured. After a few months of use, the cover still opens easily, does not feel flimsy, and stays upright when folded. The hard cover also stays on and has not snapped off. There are so many cases, and so many Bad cases, but this one is quality and does what it says.Updated review, 1 star:The one time I dropped it, the ipad was okay, but the plastic corner of the case chipped big time, leaving a sharp edge and missing chunk, so my ipad is now unprotected. I am very careful with my tech, and wish this was sturdier material and better made. Now I have to find another one, because I don't want to cut my finger or risk damage to the ipad if it should fall again. One week later: The ipad case is literally coming apart, as if the plastic is cracking like hot lava. I do not trust the material safety (what kind of chemicals were used to make this?) and seriously don't recommend. I have to get a new case ASAP because the cracks are so pronounced I am worried about getting cut. 1Smart Keyboard compatible and affordable I was very skeptical that this wouldn't be fitted right since the iPad Pro 9.7 just came out. I searched all over for a more affordable option than Apple's silicon case. For a fraction of the cost, I thought I would take a risk and try this one first. I think it's probably better than the Apple option. It is compatible with Apple's Smart Keyboard, which means the case and keyboard magnetically connect and can access the smart connector. It has rugged bumpers, although I still don't want to drop it (since that LUVVITT case is smart case compatible, the front of the case is rather limited in its coverage). There are speaker holes for all four. And the right cutouts for the camera. It has nice side grips and is lightweight. It also doesn't intrude with the magnets when the Smart Keyboard is folded back. Overall there is nothing I would change, except the clear plastic has a blue tint to it that interferes with the true color of the rose gold iPad Pro 9.7. 5Thint, light, good protection. Super happy with the Luvvitt clear grip case. Soft TPU makes it grippy to holdo on to and very comfortable to hold. I was worried about two things. How ugly the corner bumpers are and changing the color of the iPad (why get a clear case if the iPad is obscured?). I shouldn't have worried at all. Yes, the corners are noticeable, but don't look bad at all. My 9.7 inch iPad is big, so the corners are small by comparison. The color is very clear. Some people noted a blue tint, but I really don't see it. It allows my gold iPad to be seen in all its garish glory. Hole cutouts are accurate and my headphones and lightning connector plug in without worry. The power button is a tad stiff. Not clicky, as it would be with soft silicone. That is a con. A real pro though is the weight. It only adds 3.35 oz. I've never had a cover so light, though the $70 apple is only 3.0 oz. I'm very happy so far. It's light, cheap, shows off my iPad, good protection and easy to hold onto. Highly recommended. 5Meets expectations--and then some! This case strikes the perfect balance between protection and convenience. The fit was obvious from the way it tightened up as I pulled each corner on and pressed the edges all the way around so they engaged with the iPad. The case extends just far enough over the iPad's aluminum lip to attach well without interfering with my Anker Tempered Glass Screen Protector. This means that there's only a fraction of a millimeter between the screen and a flat surface if it's face down, but that's what the glass screen protector is for. The edges stay put if I pick the iPad up by an edge unless I pull them out sideways. The corner bumpers don't look nearly as clunky in person as they do in the seller's photos, but they're substantial enough to protect the iPad from a bit more than the usual bumps and dings. They might even do more than that, because the way their constructed, with a gap between the thick bumper and the device, might even save an iPad if it fell on its corner on a hard surface.I didn't get the version with the Smart Cover cutouts, but all the rest are right where they should be. They obviously couldn't make a cutout for the power button because it's so close to the corner, but there's a rectangular nub toward the rear of that corner that takes about the same amount of pressure to press as the button does without the cover. Take a moment to feel for its location and you'll have no trouble using the button. The case plus iPad are just under 1/4" thick, roughly double the iPad on its own, so be sure to check any keyboard cases you intend to use before buying.I could definitely do without all the clunky looking ridges on the back of the case. It's hard to imagine they provide any better hold than the slightly rubbery TPU itself, unless your hands are covered in oil or something. I guess they might help someone with severe problems with their grip, though, and they don't make the case any thicker, so I didn't take off any stars.I bought this case thinking it would tide me over until I could find a keyboard case I liked. I'm still getting used to using an iPad, so I might change my mind, but with an Anker aluminum stand it's easy enough to type that this can be my primary case (along with a neoprene sleeve for travel), and I can deal with keyboards if I start doing any serious writing on it. 5Perfect for 9.7" pro! Really nice case! Well made with holes appropriate for the new iPad Pro 9.7". The Smart Cover fits perfectly. The only bulk is at the corners, but it keeps it up off the surface of its lying flat so the bottom doesn't get scratched or wet or gross. The grip texture on the sides is nice, since apple products always slip out of my hands. 5
