Insanely Good This CPU is a power house. I've overclocked mine to 4.4Ghz and have not had a single problem with heat or anything. This thing packs so much punch, and has never faultered once. All I do with my computer is intense gaming. I often have many processes/applications running at once, and have never even seen this CPU stutter. You can save yourself some money and get this in place of the newest generation i5 or i7 processors. This WILL run essentially anything you throw at it. 5Great mid-range budget processor for gaming Great processor, did what I needed it to do lol. Chose it for my Desktop Build because I wanted something good for gaming, but not to break the bank. I was. A budget gamer. Now 2.5 years later, since I bought the corsair water cooler becuase I knew I would upgrade, I now have the i9-9900k. This product served my needs, and i would recommend it to any gamer on a budget. 5Recommended I bought this for my first ever computer build. I purchased it with the intentions of overclocking the CPU. The K in 6600K shows that this version can be overclocked where the I5 6600 cannot. The processor does not come with a cooler. You will need to buy that separately. Using a Noctua cooler I am able to safely get the processor to 4.5 GHz. I use this computer for gaming and this processor handles everything that I have thrown at it. 4Great CPU for gaming I went to using this from a core 2 duo, and i can say this is fantastic. I have this paired with a GTX 1050TI and 8gb RAM and im running Fallout 4 on ultra at 1920x1080p. I can run just about any game on high to ultra settings maybe with a few things tweaked here and there. 5Anyone who says there is a better product for the same price is just silly Anyone who says there is a better product for the same price is just silly. Locked or unlocked version. Mine is currently overclocked at 4.5 ghz on a basic off the shelf cooler and is running optimally. 5Great CPU So far so good! I have a fan on it and it stays cool, will update after I get more time on it!Update - After further use, I have an MSI Motherboard and in gaming mode, it is actually clocked at 3.9 and I have no problems with this at all, as I have never actually seen it under 3.8 GHz. I have done a simple OC to 4.4 and did not have any problems with temperatures or anything (I have the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo) and everything works great. 5The nature of CPUs have been well established so there ... The nature of CPUs have been well established so there isn't much to say here. I will post an update when I overclock this, but so far no issues. I installed a fairly inexpensive cooling fan and highest temps i have seen so far is 48C. I cannot wait to OC it with a custom watercooling kit. It is also important to note that this CPU does NOT include a fan so it will be necessary to buy one separately. 5It's good... enough. Started off great, I came from a i7-4770k to this. I was a little behind, but not too bad. I like the i5 and all, but I would honestly take my i7 back any day of the week. In my experience, my i5 stutters a lot more than it should. Tasks like VB and gaming are easily out performed by my thin and light with an i7 8550u. (I'm not talking about frame rates in games, I'm moreso talking about percentage of usage and amount of load it can take before it starts to fall behind.) I may be having too high of expectations for this processor, I don't know. I honestly expected more. Overclocks are easy to do, it's very forgiving, although I didn't notice much of a performance gain. 3Good, struggles with more demanding games. I lost on the silicon lottery with my chip but overall it was good for it's intended purpose (games) but it's falling behind without hyperthreading. It will have some stuttering in newer titles, but if you only play games where IPC is king this is great. 3It runs all the games of this gen just fine without breaking the bank It runs all the games of this gen just fine without breaking the bank. Best CPU for the money. The 6700k i5 is a little better if you find it at the same price but it's not game changing (I have both). If you're just gaming and not doing video editing this will serve you just fine for almost all games. Better than most amd CPUs in benchmarks and it doesn't cost as much. 5
