Designed for LEFT side use This item will likely work well on the left side of the tank, but due to the orientation of the upper bar it is not designed for the right side. I intended to use this on the right side as I don't have room on the left. It would be nice if this were available in right-side or left-side versions so that the correct version could be selected allowing for the open side of the support bar to face outward. I would call this a left-side Toilet Paper Holder and since I wanted a right-side holder I'm returning the item. 2Better than pictured Perfect for small bathrooms, and it actually looks nice. It is not often that I say the picture doesn't do it justice but that is the case here. I worried about it looking tacky or the reach being awkward. I'm happy to say that neither is an issue. It looks nice and is very convenient to use. I replaced a floor stand with this holder and I must say, if you aren't into wall mounted fixtures, I highly recommend this holder. In small rooms, every inch of space counts and having that little bit extra of floor space does make a difference. 5attractive addition to your cramped bathroom My landlord never fixes anything, including the broken toilet paper holder. I purchased this so my out of town guests wouldn't have to see me living like an animal, putting my toilet paper on the counter top. It looks great, takes up little to no room on the side of the toilet, and holds an extra roll (including the double size rolls). not sure why I didn't think of purchasing this sooner but I'm glad I did. Also, the price is quite reasonable at less than $8. The provided toilet paper holder is placed such that I have to reach behind myself, without being able to see, and retrieve the paper by feel. With arthritis in my shoulder, every trip to the toilet became a painful struggle, hence the need for a different solution.The holder has a very small footprint. The relatively light weight makes it easy to pull it right to me. I was pleasantly surprised that I could easily tear off the required amount with one hand. I like the holder for wipes on top. I have yet to knock it over, nor have I pulled the roll off the spindle. I am the only one who uses this. I read the reviews and was careful with it at first, but now I don't even think about it.The holder appears to be chrome plated, not painted. Mine is nicely finished and has a slightly retro look. I have not had it long enough to know if it rusts. I use Kirkland toilet paper and Kirkland moist flushable wipes. The wipes fit perfectly in the provided space. I'm a happy camper! 5Rusted fast Wanted it to be useful but it is rusting out in few spots. Disappointed. 1Just okay - needs some design improvements I bought this as an alternative to a TP holder that would have to be mounted to the wall. For that purposes, it is okay. The appearance is just what is on the site and it fits fine to a standard toiled tank.What I do not like about it is that when you pull on the roll in use to get the paper you need, it falls off the holder. You could propbably correct this by putting the holder on the other side of the tank, but it is unnatural for me to twist in the other direction to get to the paper. There should be a way to:Mount it on either side of the tank w/o the paper falling offorSell two optionsorImprove the holder for the paper in use so it doesn't slide off.For some of the design failings, I cannot give this more than three stars. It is simply an okay product but it will seriously annoy about 50% of the people who use it. 3Lasts for years! I had this exact same TP holder for YEARS. Finally, we were getting a new toilet, and thought since the old one was a bit corroded, we'd get a new one. Considering how great it had lasted, got another one just like it!Be sure to look at your toilet tank before ordering. I didn't realize our new toilet has the lever to flush on the SIDE, not the front. Luckily, could just move it over to the other side, but it could be an issue, as some new tanks are very slim, and have different facets.This little number is sleek, takes up very little room, keeps your spare TP handy, and is just all around great. OH, if you don't have a TP dispenser, the top roll goes on a slide, and honestly could just be used as your regular dispenser, I would think. 5Looks fine but it rusts, easily fixable... The hook that's inside the bowl will rust. I'd recommend you to coat it with synthetic grease as soon as you receive this product. Grease will lock out moisture.bump if you like this tip. =) 4Does a simple task very well, and even kinda looks nice. Great build quality, it feels very solid and cool to the touch, and the design is pretty nice looking in person for something that holds toilet paper. With 4 standard size rolls inside, I couldn't shake a single one loose with horizontal motion so you don't have to worry about them falling out do to shifting or pushing the stand around. The base is very sturdy, you'd basically have be trying to knock it over. 5
