    Concern unfounded...I was a bit hesitant to order this cable. It was 'offered' with a recent purchase.I decided for the price, it would be worth it, even if to have on hand "just in case". The cable arrived in thestandard Hosa packaging. I've found that just a squeeze of the plastic allows you to obtain "the goods" withoutcutting or tearing. This is a plus...The cable itself works just fine. I was concerned over cable quality, since it wasn't a metal connector and didn't seem heavy gauge. This has not proved to be an issue.Works great, and don't have to worry about coiling up unused cable, too. It's a nice wire though. 5It does the jobJust bear in mind this is for a SINGLE cable. Some of the midi cables I've seen have come as two midi cables paired together (for both in and out) so you'll need to either order 2 or do an either or. For my use, either or works fine and I've had no issues with this cable.4Not a common cableI needed a shorter cable for my Edifier S2000 pro speakers because the one that came with it was 16 million feet long. This Hosa cable did the trick nicely. Not a high end cable but at the price I didn't expect it to be.Highly recommended5Does what it's supposed to do.It's a 5-pin midi cable, I use these to sync all my synths and they work without a problem. No complaints!5good quality MIDI cablesI ordered a few of these cables but have only opened one so far, and have only used it a couple of times. Nevertheless I've used a lot of cables in my life and these have the look and feel of quality products. The connectors are solid and well-molded. They have good strain reliefs. The cable jacket is thick enough that it should be able to stand up to regular use. The cables are thick and comfortably pliable without being wimpy. Unless there's some hidden weakness that I can't spot from the outside I fully expect these to last me for decades.5
