Customer Reviews

A Must have for Church plants If you are trying to do sound on a budget, this is a must have. I use these to make ear monitors for the musicians. They can plug their own headphones into it and have this plug into the snake to mix personalized monitors for them. Just a trick though, sometimes you don't get sound in both the R and L, if you plug the headphones in most of the way you will get stereo in the headphones. Using this cuts down on adapters you'd other wise would need ( 1/4 F to 1/4 F and 1/8 F to 1/4 M). The length is just right for getting the cord to the musician and for them to have enough give for their headphones. I'm going to buy a few more of these, just great to have for sound. 5Buyer Beware Beware: any of the soft plastic housing Hosa male plugs (any that I have had and it's been quite a few) do not fit all the way into a TRS female jack without cutting off some of the soft housing. It's not hard to do... just don't know why i have to do it. 3Doesn't like button-control cords It's Hosa, so the build quality is excellent, and the length means I can recline a comfortable distance from my TV but not bother the wife with movie audio. However, it doesn't play well with TRRS plugs, so if your headphones have buttons on the cable (for smartphone controls),you'll need either an additional extension from the earphones to this, or a different long extension.I can;t tell if this is a fault or just design, but thought you'd like to know. 3Quality cable I bought this Hosa cable after buying a much cheaper unbranded cable. The unbranded cable had a terrible loud buzz whilst plugged in (although the buzzing did go away after a sound source was plugged in). This cable, on the other hand, was excellent acoustically - there was no buzzing at all, and sound quality seems really good.Furthermore, I stripped apart the cable for a project. Don't let thickness of other wires fool you. Although both the unbranded cable and the Hosa cable were of a very good thickness, the Hosa cable consists of two approx 23-25 AWG wires inside (left and right signals), with generous wire "shielding" for the ground. Very good. The unbranded cable consisted of 3 thin wires inside (thinner than Hosa's L/R wires) - so the unbranded cable was actually a cheap unshielded, with just a thick rubber coating to make it look more expensive - since it's the amount of copper in these cables that's expensive, not the rubber. 5These sound terrible. These are really awful for headphone extenders. I have high end headphones connected to a dedicated headphone distribution mixer and these extender cables seriously degrade the audio quality of the headphones as compared to not using the extension cable. Frequency responses loses low end and mids get noisy. 1Working Without a Hitch. I use this cable to connect my headphones to my setup while I perform. My headphones of course are not long enough to reach the headphone jack, especially while I move around. I can't afford wireless in-ear monitors, so right now I'm using MEE M6 headphones and this extension cable connected to my MOTU Ultralite MKIII recording interface that I use for my guitars and vocal mic. I send separate outs to the house mixer, while having my own vocal/guitar monitor mix in my ears that I can control. The cable is a decent construction. So far I haven't had any signal issues, like crackles or silences when moving the tips around. It's long enough to reach any distance I'll need it for. This also removes my need for a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter.Because of how it's packaged, I haven't been able to under/over wrap this cable very neatly. I'm hoping over time it straightens out, but it's not really thick enough to bend straight myself. Hope all this give you a clear picture of what this cable feels like and how well it works. 5Excellent product Works as expected. Cable is heavy and plug fit is tight. Using as extension and adapter for Aviom in ear monitor system. 10ft length is perfect.Update: After more than a year of use I recommend this cable highly for extension for any stage in ear or headphone monitoring system. I have also used it in the studio. The cord is durable, and since it is not coiled, it lies where you put it. I plan on purchasing two more of these, one to keep at church and two to have on hand. 5Great Cable Hosa MHE-325 3.5 mm TRS to 1/4 inch TRS Headphone Adaptor Cable, 25 feet. Hosa is great cable manufacturer and I own a lot of different cables. I am a retired Computer and IT Specialist and use tons of different cables. I have a recording studio and graphic design workstations and use a variety of cables. If you are looking for a quality cable you found it. 5Can t go wrong! I had to get my IEM system setup ready for drumming. This cable is a most if you don t want to deal with the hassle of plug in and out straight into your IEM mixer. I ran it right to my floor tom and held it for easy connecting my in ears cable. Perfect! Works great and gives enough length to run a clean setup. 5Very Useful! No problems; good quality for money. Such cables are not as easy to find as you'd think. Few manufacturers are still supporting 1/4" phone plugs or the 1/4" phone jacks that used to be universally used for headphone connections. I used this to extend the reach of the stock cable on my NAD VISO HP50 headphones which come with a 4-foot cable with a 3.5 mm/1/8" TRS plug (the smart phone standard). Using this Hosa adaptor cable enables me to plug these headphones into once-standard 1/4" headphone jacks on my Oppo BDP-105/105D players and headphone amplifier. 5
