Awesome product. Also used a Uni-S for cable box ... I used 2 of these to mount a One Connect box from Samsung. Awesome product. Also used a Uni-S for cable box and one for the PS4 slim. Great! 5Gaming Room Dreams Made Simple We went all out and bought almost every piece HIDEit makes for our kids game room. We love these wall mounts. We found the small and large HIDEit general boxes are great for hiding surge protectors and other junction boxes. We made the mistake of ordering a Xbox ONE X & S HIDEit mount because I was not aware our kids Xbox ONE was neither, learn from our mistake, the bigger older Xbox ONES need the HIDEit larger mounts for larger items. The PlayStation 4 mount is amazing, and I recommend ordering the sets with the remote control holders. We would like to see more HIDEit products to mount other accessory items for our gaming room. 5... bought two of these mounts and could not be happier with the outcome I bought two of these mounts and could not be happier with the outcome. They were exactly what I needed. I wanted to mount my tv above the fireplace due to limited options with the layout of our room. I had to overcome a few obstacles during the mounting process such as running wires, height placement of the tv, but most importantly placement of the electronics which would eventually be connected to the television. With a little ingenuity, I utilized the the television mounting bracket itself as a mounting position for my electronics. I could not have completed this install without the help from hideit-mounts. They gave me a super clean install and everyone asks how I did it. I used one of the mounts for my cable box and have had no trouble with the infared beam from the remote reaching the cable box. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a clean install. I have attached a few pictures from my install. 5Works for mounting DirecTV DVR, but a bit pricey... The UNI-SW strikes me as a bit overpriced for what it is - I would feel it was a much better value at about $15 - $18. But I wasn't able to find an alternative product, and I estimated the time and materials to fabricate something myself wouldn't cost significantly less, so I purchased the Uni-SW and I don't regret it.I used the Uni-SW to mount a DirecTV HR-44 DVR (Genie Server) in my wiring closet, attaching the mount to a piece of 3/4" plywood with two #8 x 3/4" panhead sheet metal screws that I provided. The mount is a bit small for the physical dimensions of the DVR, but given the very light weight of the DirecTV box - less than 4 lbs. - the UNI-SW provides adequate support. The mount can be adjusted to clamp down on the DVR firmly enough to hold it without any concern of the box falling out of the mount due to casual contact or a minor earthquake. 4HideIt- Great and simple product Great holder. Works simply and quick. However, l didn't use the screws and dry wall anchors that came with the product since I attached the product to the back of my TV in the air venting grills so I used SMALLER screws I had in my took boxes. I didn't want the screws to touch the back of the TV's LED screen. See pics.I will purchase another HideIt mount for the TV in my family room and purchase 1.5 ft HDMI cables to shorten all the cables I have in the back of the TV.#afterHideIt 5Perfect for directv cable box Such an easy solution to such a big problem. I used a power bridge system to conceal the wires from the TV to the outlet for a really clean look. My problem was how to connect a cable box while maintaining that clean look. I didn't want to install a wall mounted shelf because I'd have a cord showing between the TV and the shelf. I had 2 options. #1. Buy a TV console to put on the ground, just to house this and conceal the wires through the power bridge, or buy this device here and mount it behind the TV. This was so quick, easy, and inexpensive, and now I've got cable with a really clean look. 5Quality Cable Box Mounts To Impress Even The Cable Guy Everyone wants to know where I got these brackets. Even the Spectrum installer was impressed. I handed the box to a contractor; just because he was already mounting my television; and everyone on the remodel project was instantly involved and examining my cable box mounts.The brackets are thumb-screw adjustable; to a point; so making them snug is simple. Just choose a model in the appropriate range of size.The metal frame and welds are super strong. The quality of materials and craftsmanship is excellent.Installation is idiot-proof, assuming the idiot is not mounting anything too heavy onto drywall. There are limits, but cable boxes are in no danger of pulling out of the wall.The kit came with 6 parts to assemble 2 adjustable bracket ends. The intent is to wrap all around a box. We found that using 1 open end as a sort of big flat cradle was enough to support the new smaller cable boxes. For me, the 1 kit mounted 2 boxes. We had plywood blocking behind the drywall, so the 2 original screw holes were enough.The Spectrum installer pointed out that the longer assembled end neatly fit the new DVR cable box and the shorter bracket end fit the standard box just like someone had made the brackets specifically for the purpose. Indeed, someone certainly had.If you have a flat screen TV and sound bar on your wall, you want this bracket to hide your cable box behind the TV. It totally works. The new remotes only need to be in the same room. The final look is impressive. 5Overpriced, but Solid Mount that Accommodates both Horizontal & Vertical Mounting Solutions Summary: Overpriced, but solid construction backed by excellent customer service and the only product I've found tailored to adjustable mounts to accommodate the xbox and playstation systems. This particular model can expand to fit both the xbox 360 and xbox one. Playstation users need a different model. While this product is intended for vertical mount, it can also accommodate the horizontal mount as long as you provide adequate ventilation. In my quest for a minimalist desk, I found this to be the perfect product to mount my xbox horizontally underneath my desk (see pics). Easy to mount and adjust for width of device you are hiding. I was able to place my blu-ray device in it securely with no problems. You can make the fit a bit more snug and easy on your device with some well placed felt furniture pads or similar. I used a heavier duty wall anchor since we are taking DVDs in and out. Great, simple product that is worth the price. I combined this with an extending bracket for my 55 in. LED TV. Should have done it sooner. 5DO IT RIGHT I am a professional home theater installer and I've been offering this to my customers and the end results is worth every penny. Makes the job that much cleaner. If you think about it the money you spend on this you'll save on having to buy longer wires depending on your setup so win win.
