    No freely rotating fitting on the end If you are buying this product to connect an air compressor to a hose reel you will need other parts. You will need a union at one of the ends of the hose, as neither end of this hose has a fitting that is free to rotate. I was hoping that it would have, but there was no claim of that in the description.Otherwise, the quality is good. 3looks like it should go on a tank Well constructed, looks like it should go on a tank. Great price, good service. This a high quality flexible PVC hose with high quality brass fittings. I use it as the lead-in hose from my air compressor to the hose reel. I had several curves to make and this hose bent easily WITHOUT KINKING. If you use many hoses of any type you know that flexibilty and anti-kinking are usually not found in the same hose.Compared to the junk that is at the typical little box tractor/hardware/rural/ supply store this is a Bargain! 5Great hose but ID of fittings is not 1/2" Good quality hose, nice to have in a 6ft length. Originally intended to use this from my compressor to my shop feed but the inside diameter of the fittings necks down to about 1/4". It would have noticably limited air flow when sand blasting. I'll use it for a local feed. There is no sense going with 1/2" piping if you are going to choke things down to a tad over 1/4" on both ends of this hose. This would work fine for many installations. If max CFM is needed, there are other options that are better suited to isolate a compressor, although more expensive... 3be aware fittings poorly crimped even worst warranty service after 1 and a half years the crimp connection started to leak, even with the 10 year advertised warranty its been difficult to return the product- and impossible to get a replacement since the 1/2 version I have is no longer available, since its the lead in from my compressor my system is shut down until I purchase a replacement 1Good material but bad workmanship Heavy duty air lines but the ends leak where the fittings are crimped on. This seems fairly common but its still annoying. It was easily fixed up with some silicone tape but its an extra step (and expense) that shouldn't have to be taken. I have three of these hoses and had to do this with all three. Other than that, they seem to wear well and are made of quality material that doesn't show any signs of cracking or degrading. 3does the job I have a 3 gallon 100 PSI max pancake compressor that came with a plastic coiled hose that would probably end up failing when I need it the most. Rather than take the chance, I bought the 3/8 inch by 10 Feet Goodyear rubber air hose. Qualitywise, this is overkill for the compressor that I have. The 10 ft length may not be ideal, but the price fit the budget. Since my compressor is lightweight and portable, I can easily move it closer to whatever project I'm working on, so I can make do with just 10 feet. One of the pictures that Amazon supplied makes it look like the hose ends are female. I can vouch that they are male like the description says. 5Keep it out of the sunlight and elements -3 months lifespan before it ruptures. I got it installed and had it in service for three months. During that time the hose externally degraded a bit every day until it finally exploded. The material does not stand up to the elements well and appears to be adversely affected by UV light causing the rubber to rot.Shame of Goodyear for selling such a pitiful excuse for a hose evidently made without UV stabilizers. I live in the Northeast - excessive sunlight is not an issue most of the time. 1Nice rubber hose but 50% failure rate on my set is disappointing. Bought 2 of these, took a few weeks to put them to use and 2 weeks ago I noticed that one of them already has a small leak around the crimp connector. These were installed in a static environment plumbing a 125psi tank into the feed lines for my shop. 5 / 2 = 2.5 but going to round down because it annoys me every time I have to disconnect it to keep from draining the air tank after a day working. 2Must have for air system to compressor interface I use these on both my home shop compressors to connect them to the shop air piping system. They isolate the vibration of the compressor from the copper piping system and also reduce noise.Good quality and will last for many years. Rated for 300 PSI. 5Great hose, cheap fittings. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. I have their longer version of the 50 foot air hose in the same material. The 50 ft version feels heavier duty and thicker than this hose however I used this for a lead in from my air compressor to hose reel. I have the same gripe as I do with the 50 foot version and that is the hose has CHEAP fittings. The threads are cone shapes so in a lot of connectors you can only get 1-2 good turns before you need a wrench to turn it more. The brass is so soft that turning the hose into the fittings causes them to round off very easily. This hose would be a 5 star hose if they just splurged a bit more for the fittings. 4
