    Not buying again. We bought these particular hoses for the last year or so for our European car dealership and never had bad luck with them. However the last two we bought have failed in the exact same place, right at the fitting. Since they are out of warranty we had to resort to splicing in a repair junction to keep the hose usable after only a few months on the job. For what it's worth, we are using the hoses commercially but this isn't a fast paced flat rate facility. So we're not beating up our equipment where failing air hoses would be the norm. 2What a waste of money The first time I put 75psi of pressure on this hose, it burst out the side. What a waste of money. I thought being a GOODYEAR product and made in the USA, this would be a high quality hose. The rating of one star was being generous. 1Quality control problems... These products should not be shipping... These hoses are exactly what I wanted EXCEPT... They are the tough rubber hoses seen in workshops across America. But they currently have a defect in their manufacturing process. I have ordered 3 and returned 2. The two replacements both have the same problem. Where the brass(?) fitting clamps on to the end of the hose air begins to accumulate into a bubble. I am not bending the hose at an odd angle. (I actually have flex-fittings so minimal stress is placed on the fitting.) My hoses are in a very low-stress environment but each one of them has the same problem. It is only a matter of time before this bubble erupts and I have to buy a replacement.I'm not going to bother returning them again but I'll certainly buy another brand - which is unfortunate because otherwise this product would receive a 5-star rating. Disappointed that I wasn't contacted by the seller (or Goodyear directly). Unlikely I'll ever buy another Goodyear product. 1Waste of money! Waste of money! Same problem as the other reviews. I'll attach a picture. 1Defective product Disappointed, had 2 defective hoses. First one lasted 3 weeks before developing a blister near the crimped on fitting, second one lasted two weeks before the same issue arose. Buy another brand.... 2Best hose for shop, especially on a retracting reel For SHOP air, this simple, plain Jane rubber hose is ideal. It's the heaviest of the three types (rubber, PVC, Polyurethane). It's also the most kink resistant. To kink it you have to force it into an unnatural bend. The other two types of hose seem to SEEK the bend and turn themselves into a kink.If your hose is on a reel, this is the ONLY kind of hose that will not frustrate you. Reinforced poly is "sticky" and PVC is "stiff and brittle". It's a battle to force those two into a reel. But rubber hose seeks to lay well in the reel.If you were using a hose for on board air in a truck, or for portable tools like nail guns, this kind of hose would be less practical than reinforced poly (heavier, more bulky). But for that big tank and reel in the shop, this simple hose is what I use. Replaced it once in 15 years. It tends to dry out and begin cracking after a decade or two of pretty modest home shop/man cave use.This is also a great source of stinger hoses. Buy a full length hose for nearly the cost of pre-made 10 ft stinger hoses. Cut your own to any length you like, install fittings, start moving' air. It'll make several stingers for about the cost of one that's pre-made.Once the hose eventually DOES die after 10-15 years, I use pieces of the old hose as wire protectors, panel pass-through protectors, whatever.Once in a while I read negative reviews about the hose and connector separating, bubbling, losing air etc. I've never seen any air hose not suffer stuff like that. Good grief, snip off the end and install a new fitting. Costs a dollar and 15 minutes. If a hose lasts 15 years and you need to replace a fitting twice, that seems pretty reasonable. I consider replacing hose ends every few years just normal maintenance. I consider replacing the hose every 10-15 years similar normal wear and tear.Thanks - Lumpy 5Disappointed Very disappointed with this hose , in just 5 months , and only a few uses , one end has already am air burble, what means is going to explode on any time making useless the hose . 1I have only used this item for 4 days and ... I have only used this item for 4 days and the hose has a huge bubble in it by the connection. I have been using different hoses for years and never had this problem 1Stay Away! Serious Safety Hazard! It's just okay. I have another Goodyear Rubber air hose that must be almost 20 years old and that's what made me purchase another.. But the quality seems to have dropped a bit. This hose works and doesn't leak, but it kinks very easily even at 100psi. I'm not going to return it, but it's definitely not as good as they used to make.UPDATE: I've reduced my rating to one star and that's being nice. After a half-dozen uses, this hose developed a ballooning end near the fitting. I discarded it immediately as it is a serious safety hazard. Shame on Goodyear for even putting these on the market. I now have zero faith in their products and their company. 1Caution end may burst! When I purchased this it was to replace one from Harbor Freight that had lasted for 5 years, this one lasted 6 days of light use.Just blowing sander dust off a cabinet should not have been enough to cause this when the other lasted through rebuilding a car and truck.I went with Goodyear because of their history with rubber, times change. 1
