Customer Reviews

Good value but not the best design. This item is reasonably well made, but it would have been better if the plugs were facing the other way -to the side instead of up and down. As it is, the cord from what you plug into it often blocks the adjacent plug and you can't use it. I'm sure it's because it's cheaper to make 'em that way. The great part about it is the right angle plug. I think all plugs should be right angle.3Great priceI can't vouch for it as a surge protector because we haven't had a problem yet this year, but with as much lightning as we usually get, I'll be sure to edit my review if anything happens. This was a short cord to tuck under our end table and hook some walkie talkies into.5Make sure you inspect the plug before useMy first purchase was dangerously defective. I should've thoroughly inspected it prior to use. When I attempted to plug the power strip in, sparks shot from the outlet and it tripped my breaker. Then I realized the end of one of the plugs was severely chewed up on the end leaving jagged metal. This is something quality control should have caught. Amazon immediately sent a replacement. I've not had an issue with the new one, it works as it's supposed to. The cord is long enough to reach where I need it behind a rolling cart. I probably will not buy this brand again because of my first experience but it is a good product for what I needed4Possibly FATAL product!!!I ve only owned this product since about July but it alrighty is unsafe as it started shorting out just after the return window closed. I should have returned it then but at firstI thought the switch was loose and too busy to take the time to return it. That was foolish of me because recently it actually sparked meaning it is a FIRE hazard. I should have returned it early on when I first noticed a problem. I don t recommend buying this item at all and if one has already purchased one should throw it away immediately. This was obviously not caught by Amazon as I trust Amazon w/o fail but every once in a while I m sure items get through that shouldn t. This is such an item.1Ineffective surge protector. A waste of money.Although, in Africa where I put this surge protector(SP) to use, we use 220v - 240v. However, I bought this SP for use in a 120v system to power some 120v appliances like Noco battery chargers, Visio sound bar, Samsung TV, etc. During the electrification of my house, mistakenly, the electrician supplied 220v to this surge protector. To my utmost surprise, 2 battery chargers and the sound bar got blown up. Would have been worse if other appliances plugged to the surge protector were switched on.It's a waste of money.1What can I say.. it is a cheap ...What can I say.. it is a cheap powerstrip. Not sure why it is called "GO GREEN" the on thing especially green about it is the plug and the on/off switch. The only reason I bought this one was for the right angle plug. It does IN FACT have a right angle plug. It doesn't claim to be anything more. It does feel a little cheaply made, I would normally take a star off for that, but its so inexpensive I will cut them a break. I will give this 5 out of 5 stars.5Protect your devices!! This is a great deal and it protects your devices, we pay thousands for laptops, game consoles and tablets not to mention all the other devices we are plugging in. Protect your investments by plugging into a surge protector which takes the damage instead of allowing your devices to fry! Do the right thing and for a few dollars you can protect your expensive devices and have peace of mind. Don't hesitate, just do it. 5Perfect fit! Love that the wire comes down from the plug as opposed to coming straight out the back. Fits perfectly between a wall and a bed or betwee a wall and a dresser! 5Just what I needed Just what I needed and the price was great too. In retrospect I probably should have bought another, they always come in handy with all the electronics and rechargeables these days. I almost bought one with USB ports, but at more than 3X the price it seemed silly when I already have all the plug in converters anyway. 5Great value and they work! These are great value but they also work just fine in my experience. I see they have been knocked a bit on here for being minimal components inside and operating concerns. I opened one up, and they are indeed minimal. However, i tested them out and they work superbly! I set up an overcharge/short situation on one of mine that also had a GFCI at the origin also; surprisingly, this item cut the power even before the GFCI could cut in! This is a real world test, so that works for me. I have five more now.....YMMV but they work fine for me.5Works well.High four, low five stars.I needed a surge protector that would fit in a fairly small space and hold six cords plugged in.I gave this a four stars for the following reasons:- not sure why it's considered go green because there is nothing to indicate it's 'green' except the plug in cord.- this feels fairly cheaply made. It is light and does not have a 'solid' feel to it.- you can not put use all six outlets as they are fairly close together. For the price though, this seems to work in the place I wanted to put it. It works. And despite the 'feel of it' being cheaply made, it hasn't fallen apart.4Great! I use my strip every day and have not had any issues with it. It feels extremely sturdy which was my one concern considering the low price. Thankfully it doesn t feel cheap and my worries were in vain! 5Fits well behind bookcases; can't use all 6 spots unless all your plugs are small/narrowI bought this surge protector to plug in behind a bookcase. The right angle plug means it fits perfectly, but the orientation and spacing of the receptacles themselves leaves a bit to be desired. The only way you can use all 6 receptacles is if all the plugs are narrow (like lamp plugs). Three of the things I wanted to plug in (cable modem, cable box, and Blu Ray player) have bulkier, blocky plugs that essentially cover an extra receptacle, so I was only able to use 4 spots (1 blocky plug on the end opposite the power switch with the bulk/cord going off the edge, 2 normal/narrow plugs - sound bar and router in the middle, and 1 blocky plug on the end next to the power switch with the bulk/cord facing in towards the rest of the receptacles since facing it the other way would hit the power switch) and plugged the remaining blocky plug into the other receptacle on the wall. I could feasibly use a fifth spot on the surge protector if I had another item to plug in that had a narrow plug.4DO NOT BUY IT, CHEAP GARBAGEI rarely give a product bad review unless I am really disappointed, like this one.I need two 90 angle surge protector outlets, this one is cheap and has 4.5 out of 292 reviews, so I thought it won't be too wrong. When I received them I was curious enough to check them but didn't find any description about "surge protector" on the outlets, so I disassembled it. How dare the manufacture states it is a "surge protector"!!!!Here is the comparison, the left hand side is a $5.5 AmazonBasics surge protector, the right hand side is this product, you can tell from the picture, this one only has one small resistor and one small capacitor!!! While the $5.5 AmazonBasics has a big circuit board !1
