Speed of setup...Works exactly as well as all the other softboxes of similar dimensions. But deploys SO MUCH FASTER. I think this is the biggest one they make like this - and it is a wee bit droopy on the bowens ring if the angle is too vertical. We'll probably pick up the 24" version next.5Nice option for travelWe have other softboxes that technically do a better job but they are expensive and difficult to travel with. This is great for a quick setup and it packs very easily. The clips and elastic holding the interior diffuser are really the only aspects that feel cheap and flimsy. Great option at great price.4If you know how frustrating carrying soft boxes around can be........then you will be gleeful at the value of this soft box. It works well, and folds up easily making storage and carrying pleasant compared to traditional soft boxes - TRUST ME..... its like going from pulling teeth to pulling toilet tissue... yeah, by comparison, its that easy to work with.5Portable and fastI love these Godox portable boxes. I have this and the 24" one...love them both. They provide nice soft light for outdoor seniors and couples. Too small for groups but works extremely well for one or two people.5Super!Quality, portability, sizable, and great results!I bought this for my new, portable strobe purchase.It comes with a solid aluminum Bowens adapter.This is not a speedlight adapter.5Good but not great.These are good quality overall, but unless you're mounting them on an S-bracket they can be a pain to mount using the supplied Bowen's speedring. The internal metal tension band has also started to buckel the shape of the outer edges that help control the light. For ease of use, I prefer Adorama's line of Glow EZ Lock softboxes and dishes.4Spreads the light very well.I was tired of using umbrellas that quickly break or don t fold up. Granted, this thing isn t easy to fold up either. I fold it up flat so it s shaped like a triangle, but I don t take the last step to twist and fold it into a smaller package. Too much trouble for me. The build is good though and I have full confidence in this box holding up. I ve used it outside a few times and a bunch of times indoors. The light cast is very even5Works Well But Rods Deform After a WhileThe first time I used it, I put it right back in the provided bag with no issues. However, I can't get it in the bag anymore. When I twist the softbox during breakdown it's now deformed and doesn't form a circle. It's more of a lopsided oval. It works great as a softbox but it's no longer portable for me because I can't store it in the sack anymore. Defeats the purpose of why I bought it in the first place.3Great product, great valueI am very pleased with this product. I use much more costly Westcott light shaping tools for work, but the quality of these light boxes are fantastic, even in comparison to more upmarket brands. The materials they are made of is heavy and the stitching seems like it will last a long time.5Quick setupThis product met my expectations in most areas except two. Far and away better than the slightly cheaper neewer version in regards to quick assembly and portability. Overall excellent concept, however my two critiques would be 1. The soft box does droop . After assembly and mounting the box tends to sag downward. 2. Bending the fiberglass rods and twisting and folding....I d prefer to chase and wrestle an overly eager puppy for its favorite toy than put this thing back in the bag. All of that being said, I d still prefer it over the neewer version simply for the time saved not having to assemble it and once you finally have wrestled it back into the bag it doesn t take up very much space. Definitely gets the job done, so I d take the small struggles.4
