Super beautiful, calming effect. Super beautiful, calming effect. It's so hypnotizing that I've sat on my floor for long periods of time just watching it. I ordered two - one arrived well stabilized, with instructions and an AUX cord bundled. The other was loose in the box, the A/C adaptor was loose and tangled, and there were no instructions or AUX cord. Since I didn't need either of those things I'm keeping the 5 star rating, but I still wanted to note the inconsistency. 5The cure for insomnia This little projector creates the atmosphere of sleeping on a boat, with the waves projected on the cabin ceiling. I had that experience many years ago in Key West, and I will never forget the beautiful light cast on the ceiling, while the ocean gently rocked me to sleep. 5Junk The light show is interesting though slightly dim (maybe good for sleep) however the speaker is not very good. The sound is poor. Using the speaker also seems to mess up the timing for the auto-off, making 60 min maybe 10, so there is a counter in there that is getting some feedback from the sound input. Over all though my wife liked it so it gets 4 stars, one removed for the speaker issue.UPDATE: The light it makes is interesting and my wife even finds it soothing but they do not last. We had two of them and both failed the same way. They work by having LEDs mentioned on a rocking plate of sorts. The rocking is controlled by a small DC motor tired to the plate via two pullies and a drive belt. That drive belt is just a cheap and thin rubber band that eventually breaks, the plate stops rocking and the lights do not move. One can fix it be replacing the drive belt with a small rubber band but that will last 6 months or so, and fail as does the original rubber band belt.Down to one star. 1My daughter is in love with her projector My daughter is in love with her projector. It is a great display to put on in the evening when I put my four year old to bed and worked great with her mermaid themed bedroom. Colors are nice and vibrant but not too bright that she can still fall asleep. It have a one hour timer to shut it off automatically which is great so its not on all night long. I do not use the mp3 player feature. I also love that I can plug it into the wall so that I'm not constantly changing out batteries. 5... projector in the mail last week and am very happy with it Received this water wave ceiling projector in the mail last week and am very happy with it. There are many different colors and lights you can choose to view which is fun... I really like the green color which I'm going to post a picture of. The projector lights move around, which simulates waves or being underwater. My kids have a terrible time getting settled at night when its time for bed, so I'm hoping this will help them feel calm and sleepy. Also, I'm excited to hook my phone up to the projector and listen to music or ocean sounds with the built in speakers!! Great idea!! Thanks!! 5Under the Sea I LOVE THIS! We used this for my goddaughter's Little Mermaid themed sleepover and boy was it a hit! With the lights off the girls all stared in wonder at the beautiful lights on the ceiling and walls, really feeling like they were magically transported under the sea. The cord WAS short, so I recommend getting an extension cord for it to be in the center of the room for best view. 5Great for kids room This product is pretty awesome. It has several different wave colors that you can choose from and it also mixes them. It's not at all strobe light like. It's relaxing. I really like the fact that you can hook up the auxiliary cord and play music and it's a speaker as well. This is pretty perfect for a kid's room you can play music and have a night light all in one. You have the option to have batteries or plug-in which is a nice feature too for a kid's room 5Awesome!!! Daughter loves it!!! Love the product. At first when I turned it on...my daughter was like NO turn it off...but as I cycled through the patterns and different colors...she became interested and loved it. Especially the green lights...as her favorite color is green and orange. Amazing product. Havent had a chance to try the speakers on it...but even so the product for the waves and colors is worth it by itself in my eyes. 5Surprisingly good! I actually bought this as a low cost solution to do water effects for tabletop game. It did that job very well, and it actually is now used in my "pirate basement" to illuminate the room when we have company over. I haven't even use the speaker yet and still find it immensely good value. 5and a setting that flashes through all the colors (don't like that setting) My daughter LOVES this for her mermaid room. It has different light settings. Rainbow, red (which looks creepy as hell) blue, green, and a setting that flashes through all the colors (don't like that setting). It really looks like you are under water. It's pretty cool. I think you can plug your phone or iPod into it and get music to play but haven't tried that yet 5
