Customer Reviews

Got it despite the warning about easily broken carabineerGot it despite the warning about easily broken carabineer, used a 3"-4" piece of amsteel to make a loop and attach the tool to the keyring. I prefer this as the keyring otherwise rubs against the blade. What was Gerber thinking? My few cent solution is working well, and I will update if there is a structural problem. Dinged it one star because of the bad carabineer, and a just a letter and package opener level of sharpness. .review-image-thumbnail { background-position: center center; background-repeat: no-repeat; overflow: hidden; background-size: cover; height: 160px; width: 235px; } .review-media-gallery-content { height:100%; width:100%; background-color:black; } .reviews-mobile-media-gallery .a-carousel-viewport { margin-left:15px; } .cr-thumbnail-image { float: left; }4Don't bother. The clip is very flimsy and as a result I've been paranoid on actually attaching this little tool to anything. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and in this case it's really not much. The size of the blade is such that I wonder if even TSA would care about it.The construction is also rather flimsy and the lock mechanism has a tendency to stick.Given the price, I forgot to return it, so now it will live in my junk drawer.Strongly recommend something like the leatherman squirt or sog dime instead. 2Great tiny little thing.Be sure you look at the dimensions and accurately visualize them. This thing is TINY. Which is what I wanted, so I'm quite happy. It does the job while fitting in a lipstick pocket, if you don't feel like carrying around a big, clunky multitool. I love Gerber. The Paraframe II is the best folding knife ever made, to my mind. This is the best tiny multitool ever made, to my mind. Quality's great; locking mechanism is sturdy. Bit tough to open at first, but isn't that always the case? Better than too easy later. No complaints.5Great tool...but... The only problem I have with this tool is that the spring does not keep the tool attached to my key ring. Other then that, this is another well made tool by Gerber. All locking tools lock very securely and the locking mechanism is very strong. The knife holds an edge nicely and is more than enough to open taped boxes all day. Both locking drivers are very good, the only issue is the small handle, I have XL hands and I found it very difficult to get screws tight, however this is no fault of the tool, only my hands. The bottle opener is fantastic, I found myself hooking my key ring through the opener for a more secure attachment. Another point to understand is that this tool is very very small, at times it can be difficult to get a good grip on the tool. However I would not wish for a bigger handle, the size of this tool is what makes it special and so pocket friendly. In conclusion this is not a great key chain tool due to the weak spring, however it is a great micro pocket tool. 4Doesn't work for meNuts! The blade release is way too difficult to push down with finger nail. I had to use another tool to work it. Added a little silicone lube, but not much help. ... The three little tools next to blade have no nail catch to open them. Thus, they are next to impossible to open. .... The overall length is about 1/2" too short.1Useful edition but don't rely on the carabinerThis little tool is not anywhere close to as good as a full-size screwdriver but has saved me a day of fishing within the first month of owning it. This is a little tool that can be put to use quickly for simple quick jobs. I would have had to quit a day of fishing early when my POS Minn Kota Rip Off motorhead came loose. I've also been able to put it to use for a few other simple tasks saving me time from having to get a tool kit. The carabiner on this is junk that will come lose quickly and I threw mine away within the first week. I just threaded my tool onto key chain by the end bar. The locking of tools in place is a nice addition for such a reasonably priced item that seems to last from other reviews I have read. As of 3-2-19 it still has a place on my everyday key chain.4Very handyExcellent little keychain knife. The screwdriver are very handy and everything locks up fine. I purchased 2 of these and the one I carry daily opens so smoothly that it can be opened and closed with one hand. My only gripe is the blades need to be ground a little thinner.5Almost perfectI really like this little tool as a knife and it is wonderful for its compact size and overall usefulness. My only downside with it is that the edges of the body are a actually a bit on the sharp side. As something I will have in my pocket most of the time I would prefer it had slightly rounded edges. But for the price and given how much I like everything else about it, I am ok with that one small issue but I will probably not use it for my daily carry very often.3Cute but Too haard to close back uptook both my husband & myself to close the blade after opening. Never did try the other tools. Good size. Really cute, but too difficult for me to handle. I needed a small, light weight knife to carry on the pocket of my shorts. Fits all that but if I can't collapse the blade back in the handle it doesn't do me any good with the blade sticking out.2My son gave me one, and I bought 3 more for my nephews. My son gave me one of these and said that it was the handiest item he owned. We both have a lot of different multi-tools. He was right. I use this little tool, mostly the pocket knife daily. It attaches to your key chain (it is light and tiny) and is always with you. Make sure you attach it by the support bar and not the lanyard as it is more secure. Also, don t get in a hurry and jam it into your pocket without collapsing the knife first. We have both sliced ourselves good this way. Once.5Could have done better.. This thing is cheap.. fairly flimsy, and small.. decent tool if you have nothing of course but that's about all it is.. I would give this to my girlfriend.. yeah fellas... It's like that.. not a bad tool but not a great one.. Gerber disappoints me again.. I would say "hey at least it's not the Bear Grill's crap".. but it might as well be.. not a great buy. It's small, cheap, lightweight, and might fall apart. But it has a liner lock on it. I'll throw it in my girlfriends purse in case we need it.. 3Difficult to close the bladeThe size is perfect! Easy to carry and whip out when I want to use it to open boxes, for example. Sure it's smaller, but I really like that for this tool in particular. It has a nice weight to it and is good quality. However, I very much dislike the lock mechanism. I have to use both hands to move the ridged tab slightly, which scrapes and leaves an imprint on my fingers, to be able to put away the knife. I dread having to fully open the knife, which is a bummer. I've gotten used to opening it halfway and using it like that, but every once in a while it clicks open and I have to struggle to close it. If the lock weren't so stiff, I'd give this a full 5 starts.2Handy knife, but questionable build quality I want to love this pocket knife. I love keeping multiple tools handy on my keychain, and this little knife looked perfect for my needs. It does have a nice sharp blade, and it's possible to get a decent amount of torque with the little screwdrivers. Unfortunately, though, I'm disappointed in the overall build quality. The clip that attaches the knife to my keychain is a bit flimsy and loves to pop out of the holes where it connects with the knife, which more than once has resulted in dropping it unexpectedly when I reach for my keys. (Thankfully I haven't lost the knife yet because of this, but I have a feeling it's just a matter of time...) The plastic piece on the back that says "GERBER" also looks like it wasn't fit quite right in the factory -- along the edge of the back it's slightly lopsided and sticks out slightly from the metal body of the knife, and while this isn't a big deal, it just gives the (probably accurate) impression of having been cheaply assembled. So, to make a long story short -- I do find the tools on this knife useful, but I'm not entirely confident that it will remain on my keychain long-term due to falling off and getting lost or broken. For now, my faithful $10 faux-Swiss Army knife remains my go-to pocket multi-tool. 3compact tool, but flawed designLike many other people have mentioned, the spring clip on this tool pops out very easily. I work in a federal building but also need access to a knife and screwdrivers on a daily basis for my work. I thought this would be a good tool to get me through security but the spring clip does pop out a lot so I almost lost it off my keychain numerous times. I had to stop carrying it and still in search of a good solution.3
