    Perfect for the Holidays! I purchased this extension cord for the purpose of hanging Christmas lights outdoor, and so far it has been perfect! I had to string several light strands in succession, but thanks to the multiple plugs I was able to reduce the number of daisy-chained lights I had to assemble. Recently experienced a lot of rain which caused flooding, but there were absolutely no issues with the extension cord throughout the storm. Would highly recommend this extension cord for anyone who needs to plug in multiple items outdoors. 5Confused? Don't Be... If you need to plug in to get some electricity but can't reach the outlet because your cord is too short then this is what you need. This will magically extend one of your outlets to any where you would like, up to 15 feet out. It's simple as that.FACTS: UL listed for a peace of mind cord feels heavy duty yet flexible extends the transfer of electricity up to 15 feetWhen dealing with electricity, I always prefer reputable brand that is UL listed for a peace of mind.Don't bother trying to save couple of bucks and take on the risk of catching a fire or get electric shocks.BOTTOM LINE:5 out of 5 stars. It works exactly as advertised. Nothing more and nothing less. 5Moves electrons! With gusto! This extension cable is so extensiony. Just unwrapping it made me want to stretch.It's truly a miracle, I can now transport electricity through time and space, if by time you mean the present, and by space you mean precisely the length I dictated on the packaging. 5FIRE HAZARD Beware!! I connected this cord to dusk-dawn timer and a small LED spotlight I used to shine on my flag. I've been using this light for a few years with no issues but I needed to move the light closer to the flagpole. First night it was connected the extension cord started a fire that burned our landscape. Luckily we got to it before it got to the house structure but it was way too close. See pic. I WOULD NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! 1It's an extension cord Not sure what to say, it works fine as expected.I do like that it's pliable enough that I was able to form it along the bottom of the wall and ground on my porch to the bed where the light is that it carries power to. It's out of the way and neat which is a big plus, and not always easy to do. Everything about it is well made. I have other outdoor cords that I use temporarily that just feel and look cheap. This one feels and appears well made.It's pretty protected in the short run where it's under bushes, so I assume and hope it won't deteriorate or have any issues. I probably didn't need to but I did wrap the connection in a small piece of plastic wrap just to keep it as dry as possible. That has nothing to do with this cord though. :) 5Not Suitable for Outdoor Use The extension cord has 3 sockets and these sockets are exposed to the elements (e.g. rain) when they are not used. Rain water could cause a short in the cable or corrode the electrical contacts in the exposed sockets. Unless you plan to use all 3 sockets, I would get a different extension cord. 2Solidly Made of Outdoor Use This is the rugged cord that I needed for a semi-permanent, outdoor utility pump set-up. It has good flexibility and plugs with a good, solid feel. Very pleased with purchase especially for the price compared to big box stores. 4Three Stars Good cord but the pic does not show that it has a large multiple (3 cord) outlet. 3Good solid extension cord for outdoor use I needed the cording on this to run a security light to an exterior outlet so I bough it specifically to cut and splice into a motion/security light. The insulation is heavy, the wires are solid and so far it has held up well despite the elements (rain and snow). I imagine it would work well with any outdoor extension application but the plug is heavy, the weight of it all is good and it's very easy to cut into and splice if you need it for something like that as well. Each wire (the positive, the neutral and the ground wire) are all well insulated with the exterior rubber as well as interior insulation after you've cut through that. Not all brands have the interior insulation wrap that these do. 5UL rated for outdoor use This 15 foot black extension cord seems well made and will work well for the temporary outdoor application I have. The UL label indicates that the cord is intended for outdoor use. This is a 16 gauge cord with ground and is rated for 1625 watts (13 amps). I bought this because I wanted a black extension cord of this length. 5
