Works great to keep dog hair out of my pool filter. I don't actually use these as they are intended. I have an inground pool and two dogs. The dogs like to swim and much of their hair gets through the skimmers and into the filter. Now whenever we use the pool I put one of these over the skimmer and no more dog hair in the filter. They also capture a lot more dirt that the skimmer ever did. Since the amount of dirt goes way up when the pool is used, it makes all the more sense to put these on before swimming. Personally, I leave them off otherwise because I do worry they could block the water flow too much and otherwise cause problems. Anyway, for what I use these for they are a great way to reduce filter maintenance. 5So Easy! Life changing for the pool skimmer. Nothing gets through this except pool water. All these years the spring pollen was getting to my main filter. Now it is trapped in this thing and I toss it. You cannot beat the price! So Easy! 5Used in Pool Skimmer as Pool Skimmer Socks - AWESOME!! We do use those hair nets actually as pool skimmer socks; if you check here on Amazon actual pool skimmer socks or pool filter savers cost $6.99 for a 5 pack; here I do get 100 of those nets for the same price; The nets hold up about 2-3 days and then I change them because the rubber kind of starts to loosen. Even if I had to change it every day, this would still be a lot cheaper than actual pool skimmer socks;Those hair nets work great in the skimmer. They catch a lot of stuff that the skimmer would not; If you have a pool and consider getting skimmer socks, please try those hair nets first; 5Use in my pool skimmer I use these in my pool skimmer to filter fine dust, pollen and other tiny stuff that would otherwise get through to the DE filter.I foolishly bought the "pool socks" skimmer liners that are basically the top 6" of a thigh-high stocking sewn together at the bottom, stretched over the skimmer basket. They work very well, until the chlorine dissolves the nylon and they fall apart. They also cost about $1.25 each shipped.These come 100 to a pack so the cost is a tiny fraction. The elastic band goes around the filter basket to hold it in place. After several days of use, it's working perfectly- it's full of the fine pollen, small flowers, dust and other things I expect it to filter. I gave it a tug and it is solid, no tearing. With the pool socks, just like a nylon stocking, if you look at it funny it tears.Highly recommended for your pool skimmer. 4I gave this 5 stars because it is the best price available and they are exactly what I needed I gave this 5 stars because it is the best price available and they are exactly what I needed. I don't "love" hair nets but I love that I was able to get them at an affordable rate and in a quantity where I wouldn't have to worry about rebuying for awhile. There is an elastic band that holds it to your head which can leave a little bit of a red mark. It does a great job of keeping hair out of things. I am not using this for cooking purposes, so I am able to get at least 15 wears out of one before the band becomes so stretched that it falls off. Occasionally I'll get a little hole in one and get a new one out but overall these are exactly what I needed and wanted. I put my hair in a bun before I put this on and sometimes the hair net will slip off but again that is only because I am probably wearing each one a lot more than what is recommended for the best fit and performance. When I need these again I'll for sure get these same exact ones. 5Work great in pool skimmer baskets! If you have a pool with a skimmer basket, you need these. They stop 99.9% of the debris that would wind up in my pool filter. Previously, I was back washing the filter at least weekly. The pool has been running with these installed almost a month now, with almost no gain in pressure on the gauge, showing no need to backwash. They seem to last about 7 to 10 days before getting full of junk, so a pack of 100 will last a long time. 5Kitchen workers at church I purchased for the kitchen workers at my church.They resisted at first, but are slowly coming on board.I am 60 years old and have experienced hair in food in my own home, and wear a hair net constantly whenI prepare food at home. 5Not plastic. Nice they are like made out of thin material the type that your fingers get caught on. I thought they were plastic but they are very thin material gauzy maybe?? Not sure how to explain it. However you get 100 tons of them awesome price and they work good at keeping my long hair up and I use them over and over. Good investment as long as your not looking for plastic. 4Great in pool skimmer. I read in another post it was used in the pool skimmer. I bought both these and the ones specifically for the pool skimmer. By comparison, this worked FAR better, in that it lasted for weeks. The other one, designed for the skimmer actually fell apart...kind of dissolved, in the skimmer. I have a variable speed pool pump, which starts out at 3000 RPM for 3 hours, then goes does down to 1500 for the rest of the cycle. These hairnets worked beautifully. I do not rinse them out (yucky!). I just toss it, then, put in another. As they last so long, I know I will be using far fewer, so the cost should be lower, too. 5Useful for bread proofing! Great for use as a banneton liner for making sourdough bread and allowing the formed loaves to proof without sticking to the basket. Add a shower cap on top, and it is perfect for the fridge too for overnight. 5
