Gift for Dad My dad's old tablet case was falling apart so I bought him this one. It has lasted over a year and he's still using it. Good value for the money. I only gave it four stars because if he had a quality hard case it would still be in good shape whereas this case is starting to show wear on the edges. 4Perfect case for my tablet. I needed a simple straight forward case to hold and protect my tablet, and that is exactly what I received. The fit is perfect. The magnets keep the cover closed well. I have access to all the buttons and controls. Shipping was fast. the product seems well made and has held up to constant daily use since delivery. The lining is soft enough to offer protection with out risk to the screen. 5Not a traditional "smart cover" but a smart deal. Please see comments to follow as to why I updated review.Update: 11/5/15. The seller contacted me within one day of this review to try and make things right. My misunderstanding of the product description led me to believe this was a smart case similar to that of the iPad..... With an auto shut off feature. While this doesn't have that feature (not sure if it's possible with the tab 4) it is an excellent product for the priceprice. The microfiber inner panel is very soft and protecting, albeit I'd still invest in a screen protector for good measure. The customer service is excellent. See for yourself in the comments. While the closure is magnetized to a small metal strip, it will not idle out your screen. For the price, this snap on cover with a microfiber magnetic-enclosed screen cover is a great deal....but this is in no way comparable to the "smart covers" that iPad users may come to expect. 5Not sturdy The case has two tiny magnets on the side that make it snap shut. Whatever substance held them in place is not strong enough the resist the magnetic pull of the metal on the other side, so one by one, they pulled out of place and stuck to the metal side. Using tweezers, I glued them with a good glue and slipped them back into the little slits where they belonged. Unfortunately, the good glue proved to be too strong for the case and shortly the plastic broke away from the magnets! I am a gentle user, the case was not dropped or otherwise abused in any way. I am holding it shut with an elastic bracelet for the time being, but I liked the fit and the tripod style stand, so I am sorry that I will need to replace the case soon. 3Good for everyday use Just OK. I bought the Beetle Unicorn hard case at the same time and tried both out. Yeah if you only stay at home the mall and need a case that hold the tablet up for video this is the one for you. If you are always on the go and take your tablet everywhere and especially outdoors The Beetle rocks.Update 12/1/2014Wife took off the Unicorn Beetle case on and put this case back on. She likes it much better in both looks and the fact it folds to allow chatting for endless hours. It is more rugged than I gave it credit for and add a star for that. Still I told the wife if the tablet is damaged while we are using it then you buy the replacement. :)If I could just get the new Fintie Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 Case [CaseBot Tuatara Series] - Rugged Unibody Dual Layer Hybrid Full Protective Cover with Built-in Screen Protector and Impact Resistant Bumper, Lifetime Warranty from Fintie, Blackdelivered by Amazon to me here in the Phillipines...have to wait 10 months to get back home to USA. 5Conveient, Functional, Cheaply made and Very Breakable This case started to chip and break in less than 3 months. The convenience of the design was great, but no strap to hold it with, and the cover just kind of flops around when not closed or set as a stand. The stand works well on every surface I tried, even soft ones...however, I suppose you get what you pay for and this turned out to be made of some type of very brittle garbage plastic that just seems to break down and fall off. All I did was drop it on a carpeted floor a couple times and the corners chipped and shattered gradually. So, with the limited selection on Amazon, you can keep buying a convenient yet poorly made case, or a less convenient, bulky case. A little disappointed, but built in obsolescence is common these days. This should be considered a disposable tablet case, not a permanent one. 3Great case that unfortunately does not last I loved this case when it first arrived. The same front-cover magnet holds the triangle in place when one folds the cover to act as a stand, with said stand feature being reasonably solid.The interior is lined with a soft micro-fabric that no doubt will save my screen from casual in-case scratches. Cut-outs are positioned well for the camera and all external controls. While I can see why people might complain about the home button which can be hit if your grab the case from the bottom, it is overall a good design.If you are looking for something more rugged or to protect your device from unexpected tumbles, I would recommend looking elsewhere. The leather feels rich and supple in the hand and it looks like an executive item.The front cover is magnetic, so it closes with a reassuring snap. The front is also used as a stand, when folded into a wedge on the back. The magnets help keep the wedge secure.The cover folds completely flat against the back so the tablet can be used as if the cover wasn't even on. The power button, volume toggle switch, IR blaster, headphone jack and USB port are always easily accessible. The back camera can only be used when the case is open like a book.One of the features I particularly like is the way the tablet is secured. The tablet snaps perfectly into the four corners of the case, without using any straps, tabs, or anything else that covers part of the front of the tablet.
