Save some money and buy these! I decided to purchase these based off of price and ratings and I am very happy I did. I saved a lot of money and these seem to be working wonderfully. They fit perfect and look and feel the same as the Dyson filters.I"ll def buy more of these when i need to and I highly recommend these! 5Save yourself some money!! This item was much cheaper than the OEM part. Works the same and fits perfectly. I would recommend this product if you are like me and have had your Dyson for a couple of years and haven't cleaned the filter every three months, as per the maintenance schedule. 5It's Like Having a Brand New Dyson Our Dyson was becoming near useless as it had lost most of its suction power and would stop running after about 10 minutes of use (we assumed it to be thermal overload protection shutting it down). We had tried washing out the filters and despite looking fairly clean it made no difference. It was to the point that we were going to start shopping for a new vacuum and decided to try changing out the filters as a last resort. Swapped them out and bam - seemed like a brand new vacuum. I actually thought something was wrong when I first started it up because it was so difficult to move the vacuum forward then realized it was just due to having the suction power back and not being used to it!As to the filters themselves they changed out easy enough. Seemed to be a perfect match to the factory ones. Both installed with no issues at all. We've been using the vacuum with the new filters for a few weeks now and are still pleased with them. While I cannot comment on how long these would hold up compared to the factory filters these have worked perfectly for us. The cost of this set comes in lower than what the factory post filter costs by itself. Even if these don't last as long as washing out the factory filters for the price it feels like you can't go wrong.If you're experiencing problems like us where it feels like your Dyson just doesn't have the oomph that it used to I highly recommend giving these a try. 5Don t throw your expensive vacuum away! I have a purple Dyson DC65 Animal Ball I inherited from my mother, who was going to throw it away because try as she might to clean and clean her old filters, the vacuum always smelled terribly like wet dog (she has a German Shepherd). I bought a set of these filters to replace the originals, and while the smell didn t totally go away at first, I didn t bother taking the vacuum all the way apart to clean all the hoses and crevices either. Fast forward to today, months later, and my vacuum began shutting off because it was overheating took it apart to find a clog, cleaned all the little crevices and hoses along the way, never found a clog. I needed to clean the dreaded filters. I m buying another set of these so that I can switch set #1 out and put in set #2, clean set #1 and let it dry for THREE MONTHS before I have to switch the filters again and clean set #2. Hopefully this way I can ensure that I never encounter my mother s wet dog smell problem. The only way I m able to afford this is because these filters are reasonably priced. So those are my reasons for the 5 stars: (1) the filters work entirely as advertised (well, the filter that goes into the ball installed a little crooked for me... no amount of readjustment would fix it, but it hasn t ever been a problem) and (2) they re actually affordable. I can afford two sets of these without spending the price of a new vacuum and now I have added functionality (i.e. I can wait 3 months before installing the washed filters). I ll try to remember to update after my next filter clean and switch out. 5Great product at a good price. I have owned the Dyson DC41 for over a year and even though I don't suggest stretching out recommended replacement dates, this is the first I have replaced our filters. What was I thinking? The filter is a little higher than the cost of a bag, but it has lasted so much longer. Take it from me (and I am a cheapskate), put this filter on auto buy every 6 months because you are worth it. I Love love love this vacuum. The machine is high quality and so are the filters. I would recommend buying Dyson to everyone/anyone. This is a great example of having to pay a little extra, but it is so worth it. 5Runs Like New Again These replacement filters work great. They are as close to the original equipment brand name as you can get without the hefty expense. One think I have noticed is the replacement filter for the motor does not seem to be as dense with filter media as the Dyson brand, however this should not immediately effect anything besides maybe having to clean and rinse it out a little more frequently. All-in-all I am happy with these filters! 5I hate those kind anyway Fit and work perfectly with our Dyson dc41 animal vacuum. I've had the machine for about 6 years and it was definitely time to change filters. The bottom filter that comes out of the "ball" was beyond washing. I hate those kind anyway, the dirt never really seems to come out, even when you clean it regularly. Maybe it's my hard water?The fact that this came with both filters I needed and half the cost is well worth it. The vacuum seems to be working better than it had in years. No smell or weird noises. 5Good fit in DC65 Animal A good fit for replacing the exhaust filter in my well-used Dyson DC65 Animal.I didn't try the pre-filter yet, but my exhaust filter (the round one) had ground-in grime that was getting progressively worse (likely the result of very fine cat litter dust). Despite regular washing. I even tried pre-soaking the original filter a few times (before washing) at Dyson's directions, and it still wouldn't come clean. Replacement seemed the best idea to keep from damaging my unit's motor, but Dyson wanted over 70 bucks for the part (shipped). That seems ridiculous considering the total price of a new vacuum...Unlike the other popular generic filter listing here (which was clearly off-spec and didn't actually fit the DC65), this one works. It fits tightly like the original, the ball spins freely, and I feel a good volume of air coming through it. I can't tell if it's as good a filter as the original part was new, but I'm not getting any sneezing or coughing fits after extensive use in a dusty area-- meaning it's filtering the exhaust effectively.Only time will tell how long this filter lasts, or how quickly it might become clogged like my old one. But for the moment, I'm very pleased to have extended the life of my 5 year old vacuum at a modest price. Recommended. 5Doesn't quite fit... The exhaust filter was hard to get on. VERY SNUG. I almost gave up and just returned it. I had to lay the vacuum on its side and use my body weight to press down on it while turning. The pre-filter fit perfectly. I will definitely try a different brand or just buy from Dyson next time.* UPDATE *I have been using this for about 3-4 months now and it's terrible. It makes the motor so hot that it melted the glue on the inside of the ball filter. I only get about 5 minutes of vacuum time before it is too hot and I have to turn the vacuum off for several minutes. The quality is just too bad and the motor can't breath. 1Works Great! I have the Dyson DC41 Animal and have washed the original filters on the schedule Dyson recommends. I have always been concerned that I see next to nothing 'dirt wise' wash out of these filters. My older model Dyson had a washable foam filter and when you washed IT you'd see dirty water in the sink. That makes me wonder if the DC41 filters are doing any good as I live in a very dusty/sandy area and have dogs and cats, and I'm seeing next to nothing rinse out when I wash them. I ran into these generic replacement filters on Amazon and thought I'd give them a try over washing out my Dyson originals - The Dyson brand replacement filters are ridiculously expensive. These fit just fine and THE VACUUM IS DEFINITELY WORKING BETTER! 5
