Customer Reviews

Inexpensive cable that leaves a lot to be desired. Not recommended for live performance. I bought the 10 foot Candy Apple Red cable from Amazon. I wanted something bright to differentiate from the other cables onstage. Unboxing the cable I found the outer jacket hard and it doesn't lie down flat because of lack of elasticity. The ends are well made but because of the overall appearance and stiffness I wouldn't gig with this and it especially wouldn't look good onstage. But hey, let's face it-- it is a $9.99 cable with free Prime shipping. If you're a beginner and on a budget this cable will work for you.I'm going to work at flexing it and will use it at home because I need a short home practice cable. If you can only afford this cable it will work ok for home use if you work at flexing it. But don't buy it intending on using it onstage. You could take a fall tripping over it. 3Excellent Usability Between Devices and Amplifier I liked how it doesn't pick up dirt, nevertheless easy to clean and soild durable construction. The cord is a bit finicky when coiling or uncoiling and one must twist it to settle unruly coils. Best use is between devices and amplifier. 4Garbage I bought these thinking they were high quality because it had the Fender name on it. I can't believe Fender would allow their name to be on these cables. I use several while gigging out. A lifetime warranty doesn't mean a thing on 11:30 Saturday night when on stage. The first cable got scratchy on the first night. Have had nothing but problems from these cables. There is nothing worse than being on stage and having sound issues, especially when it is your turn to shine. Got home from my show last night and threw all of them in the trash. They are complete garbage. Buy something else. 1Works fine but becarful of the loop monster! I like about everything Fender, and I like this cord. The problem is, what makes it so strong, tuff and durable also makes it ridged and ridged cords don't lay so well. I cant tell you how many times I've tripped over this cord or put a foot right through a loop. I've had other ridged cords but not so much as this one. I only use cords at practice, rehearsals or during studio work so yes it does the job. However I would never use this during a show or on any live stage! It does its job but be careful and don't get caught in a loop and trip. It would be a shame to trip and lose a guitar to the hard floor! 4Nearly returned it Maybe I didn't do my due diligence. It was in my search and I went with it. I was expecting a braided cover. It's a cheap, fairly stiff, plastic cover. I would've returned it, but I didn't need to. It's not too expensive and it works just fine. It's very much a home-use only cord. 3ALWAYS has a buzzing noise when using...its NOT the guitar. Def the cable. I thought, being Fender, this would be a great cable. Def looks and feels nice but this one ALWAYS has a buzzing noise through the amp when using. I thought maybe it was my guitar...nope because my other instrument cables I use are crystal clear compared to this one. It was cheap enough to just keep and not hassle with a return 2Fender Californias - cables for the prosaic! I've bought a lot of these and Fenders "performance" series too. Although the clear cover seems stiff, I've found they will lie flat and snake around as much as needed. You just don't want to tangle these up into knots! The end connectors are first rate, never had a problem with one. 5Not for me, get tweed instead This cable seems decent construction but the jacket is way too glossy and hard, doesn't flex very easily, wasted purchase. I ended up buying 4 other tweed jackets cables of various lengths and ends (straight " and right-angle end) from GNS and am impressed. 1It's a Cable, Not a Stradavarius One end plugs into the guitar... the other end plugs into the amp. Play guitar, sound comes out of amp. What more could you ask from a cable? I had an employee once that was a high-end audiophile, he'd buy $500 cables and swear he could hear the nuances in the tone, I never heard any difference whatsoever. Same with this cable. It just works. 5Good for the money I know some people think you have to spend a lot of money to get a good cable, while others think that the inexpensive cables are all they need. Well, these cables are perfect for the budget minded who want quality.. They tend to stand up to my abuse and at the same time have a good look feel and sound quality. They also coil up nice for when it's time to move, or just keep the studio tidy.. over all.. I like em. 5
