    Simple and functional A power strip is a power strip. Well ok some have different purposes, like power surge etc... This one is just a basic power strip outlet. WITH a 15' cord. That is what I was after. I needed a longer cord than most power strips offer. So this was perfect for my need. I live in a very old home with wiring that was updated in the 70's. Needless to say I cannot overload any of my sockets with the modern day electronics. I have updated a couple of sockets one of which I plugged this into. 5Good price for a long cord The device seems to have above average construction: the cord is good and thick and the product works exactly as intended. It's far preferable than plugging a surge protector into an extension cord since most cheap extension cords do not use a thick enough gauge wire to handle the draw that most people put on surge protectors.Only major drawback is the plug configuration (which I knew about before purchasing) For the price, it would greedy to expect more than the standard 6-in-a-row, but it can be a bit of a pain if you have chunky AC adapters to deal with. 415' power strip I needed an extra long cord due to limited outlets and the floor plan of an older house. This fits the bill. Keep in mind that although this has a circuit breaker, it is NOT a surge suppressor. I recently wired in a whole house surge suppressor panel at the main breaker because I have two prong ungrounded outlets. Rather than rewiring the whole house this was a more economical alternative. Formerly I had been plugging in an extension cord to a shorter strip to reach my electrical components. Found out this is a no-no (fire hazard). This product solves the problem safely. 5Long Cord is Great. Nice and long cord. works well. I needed to get it for my work fridge as the fire marshall said it had to be a better quality cord than the usual flat ones so I bought this one and it passed with flying colors. 5Better buy on Amazon Wonderful alternative to dangerous daisy-chain extension cords in an old home with few outlets. Wish it came in something that wouls blend in better, but that s cords in general in my opinion. Really good price compared to Lowe s, Home Depot, Target, etc. 5Just what I needed, so I came back and bought another You would be surprised how useful having an extra long power strip is. Bought one so we could set up the TV/router all the way across the room from the nearest power strip and I love our living room set up.Bought another one for my bedroom. Do I technically need something so long right now? Probably not, but it's nice to know if I need it, I'll have it. 5Perfect for me I discovered while setting up a new home entertainment center in the living room that I needed more outlets, but at the same time I wanted to eliminate use of an extension cord I had been using with my previous power strip, which had only a 3 foot cord. This was the perfect outlet power strip for me as the cord was heavy duty and is 15 feet long, thus not requiring me to use an extension cord. It also has a lighted power on/off switch and I like that as it allows me to determine quickly if the strip has power or not. Only drawback, not to me but perhaps to others, is that the outlets are evenly spaced, which means this strip is not the best power strip if you have a lot of power adapters you need to plug in. This was not a problem for me however as I also have a short strip designed specifically for plugging in power adapters only and I just plugged that strip into one of the outlets provided on this strip. Very happy. Would buy again! I should add this strip is not a surge protector and does not provide surge or power protection. 5Extra 15 foot of freedom! LEGEND* (products I review that are absolutely fantastic or have been incorporated to my daily life will be marked with a "LEGEND" symbol)This gives us more freedom to move around and sit almost anywhere in the living-room! It's is very well made (sturdy!) and has a switch to help with unnecessary power drain. Definitely recommend! 5Broke Within First Day Not sure if I got a defective model, but I plugged in my phone charger and left it for an hour. I came back and noticed my phone wasn't charging even though it was plugged into the wall. I tried resetting it, unplugging and replugging it, different sockets, literally everything. This has turned into a useless brick. 1No surge suppressor means a Powerline AV device plugged into it still works. I purchased this because I was rearranging some furniture and networking equipment, including a Powerline AV500 extender (Netgear XAVB5101) to the other side of a room.I first purchased a power strip with a surge suppressor in it, forgetting that powerline networking performance degrades rapidly when a surge suppressor is present. This Fellowes 6-outlet strip doesn't have one in it and I've been getting 100Mbps+ through the extender for months now, just as if I was plugged directly into the outlet.Oh, yeah, I almost forgot: the cable is good quality, stands up just fine to being run over with a vacuum cleaner (I should really clip it up...), and the regular features like the power switch and outlets work just fine, too :-). 5
