    Better for basements, etc., but not perfect One room of my basement has no ceiling light fixture, and trying to get to the floor lamp I plugged in can be a little perilous. Also, I keep the cats' litterbox in the basement, and didn't want them to have to deal with pitch dark (I know, I know), but also didn't want to leave a light on all the time. So LED nightlights it was!I started with the kind that just looks like a flat glowing square, which my dad uses to light the path he takes when he gets up in the morning and doesn't want to turn on the lights. Those work fine for that purpose, because his eyes are already adjusted to the dark, and he's really just trying to avoid walking into walls. They weren't enough to illuminate anything for me, though, as I was coming from a well-lit first floor down into the basement, and my eyes weren't yet adjusted. So I gave him the two flat lights I'd purchased, and bought this one, which looked a bit brighter.It is brighter! It's not as bright as a similarly sized conventional night light, and it does have an eerier blue cast to the light, but it's bright enough that I can get to the floor lamp safely, and I don't have any guilt about the cats going down to the basement.My only complaint is with the sensor. Most of the time it works fine, but sometimes it gets confused and turns off when an object passes in front of it. This is a problem if the object is me, walking toward the floor lamp, and I'm suddenly plunged into darkness.Nonetheless, I think this is a great option if you need a night light that'll be on much or most of the time, especially if it'll be used even when it isn't actually night. 4Nightlight never turns off! Both the reviews and the Q&A section for this product mentioned that it changes colors. It does not. There is no "small button on the front". Just a sensor and the light. This wasn't that big of a deal as I don't mind not being able to change the color but that would have been nice. My product showed up and looked exactly like the picture in this product's listing - so that's not the issue.The major problem I have with this product is that it never turns off. Whether I have the lights on or off in my bathroom this light stays on. It's not like I have this plugged in behind the toilet either. It's in the outlet right next to the sink which is just below the light. I would imagine once I start plugging cords into three outlets this provides that even less light will each the sensor.Overall this is a fine 3 way adapter but it's a terrible auto on/off night light. Amazon has also done a poor job of collecting and matching the Q&A and Reviews with this product as there's no way these people could have been reviewing this product. 1So much light! These are a bright night light. They give out a lot of light to be able to see going down the hall or in the bedrooms when getting up during the night. I bought several 7 or 8 years ago and they are still going strong. I bought more to replace the movie theater or directional ones that we had tried. These are better if you want to see where you are going. 5Does not remember setting when used with a timer I've only had it for one day, so I can't comment on its durability. My only complaint right now is that the nite lite does not remember its setting when the power is turned off. I set it for solid red and I had it plugged into a timer. When the timer turned the nite lite off and then back on later, it was not set for solid red, but for the rotation of numerous colors, and I manually had to press the button again to set it for red. My last nite lite (which, unfortunately, I recently left at a hotel), would stay on the same color between power-ups. So I have had to take this one off the timer and leave it on all the time, which is not that big of a deal, but it is disappointing. I would not buy it again. I sure hope I don't have any of the fire hazard problems other customers have had ... scary! 3Worked good for a month then green started to flicker I purchased this the end of August and briefly plugged it in to make sure it worked. A month ago I plugged it in and left it on. For a time it was okay. Then I shut it off and switched outlets it was in. Then the green leds began to flicker. It has progressivly gotten worse over a few days. Not happy and I don t believe I can send it back. 2Great for Use as a Red Nightlight to not Disturb Sleep For those of you looking for an inexpensive night light that can put out red light to not interfere with sleep, this is a good choice. It can also do other colors and multi colors - just press the button to cycle through. I have a few of these and have had no problems with them. I have one in the bathroom, so if I have to get up in the middle of the night, the light won't make me wake up more than I already am. It puts out a good amount of light, actually a bit too much for my taste, although others have said it wasn't enough for them. That's all personal taste, really. A perfect product would have a dimmer on it as well, but then you wouldn't be able to but it for $5 either. 5Great Night Lights! Great Value! These are working great for me. I researched many lights before purchasing. I have used these lights for several months now and I find the FEIT Electric products are well made and work very well. They turn on when it gets dark and provide a nice comfortable diffused low level of lumen light output. I bought 3 of these lights and experimented using them in various locations around the house. Now I have them located near the stairs and in bathrooms so I can safely walk around the house at night. AND I recently took 1 with me on vacation for use in the hotel room - again so I could walk safely at night as well as not having to keep the bright hotel bathroom light on during the night. Now they are a travel essential ! I highly recommend these lights.(( I also bought the Feit NL4/LED Eternalite 3-LED Modern lights. I found they work very well - but my personal preference was the NL1 lights over the NL4's. )) 5Polarized Plug on what is clearly a double-insulated appliance ? Bummer. Unit will only install in the socket one way. Most night lights have the same size prong on both sides so it will go into the standard duplex socket pointing either up or down. This one only goes in the up-direction and so can only be used in the top outlet. Otherwise it looks good. It puts out quite a bit of blue light and spreads it around well when it is on. I bought six and have not had any trouble with any of them. It needs to be pretty dark to come on. 3SUPER BRIGHT, doesn't come on until significantly dark. Super Bright!, the sensor is much better at detecting light than the previous one i had. I like how it really only comes on when it is significantly dark in the room. My prior one would come on when still significantly light from a window, so i am happy that this although already very energy efficient, doesn't come on until it is actually dark. I guess would be nice if there was a sensitivity adjuster for people to dial in the exact level but i like it this way. 5Broke after a single use Update 6/09/2019: Raising to 3 stars. Amazon replacement process went smooth, but the replacement nightlight also failed after a single use. I sent that one back for a refund and lodged a complaint with the manufacturer. They responded with an apology and sent me a free replacement. The replacement for the replacement has so far been working flawlessly. Let's see how this holds up over time, after which I may add stars.Original review: It broke after the first night of use. Giving one star because I can't give zero. Amazon replacement process was a breeze and new one is on its way. Let's see if the replacement lasts more than one use. 3
