Easy, easy It's magic! I stumbled across this item by mistake, read the comments, and decided to give it a try. And all it did was everything it was supposed to do! Go figure. The replacement bar is about 24" long, but my towel rack only needed an 18" bar. Now, I didn't have a hacksaw or mitre saw or anything that exotic. But I was able to cut the bar down to size using a serrated knife from the kitchen. Easy, easy, easy. 5PERFECT! Awesome buy! Cut myself --still sturdy! So thankful for all the other reviewers on here....everyone is exactly right! This is exactly what I needed and soooo easy to use. I had to cut it twice because my measurement the first time wasn't very good (lesson always cut too long first), This is so easy to cut! You can also make it even more stable by cutting it so you only have to use one of the ends. It can really fit in there tight. I just used a serrated knife and it cut perfectly. I went to Lowes and Home Depot and couldn't find anything that would work and this worked PERFECT! 5Great Product!! Glad I found them. My towel bar holders are mounted in the wall, my home is over 30 yrs. old and I broke the towel bar in the half bath a few years ago but just didn't want to tear the bar holders out and just went without them and then finally my child leaned on the towel bar in the main bath and broke it so now I had to search for towel bar replacements or go ahead a tear out the holders, we'll I said there has to be something out there this day and age that would work without tearing holes in the wall and having to repair that etc. anyway I was going to try the tile shop store but said I would search the internet first and low and behold I found these Ez-Flo adjustable towel bars at Amazon and thank you for making just a neat product. After receiving them in the mail all I had to do is cut them down less than a half inch and was super easy just pulled the spring cap off one end and used a sharp knife actually just a steak knife worked just fine and slipped the spring loaded end back in the bar and fit perfect and did the same for the half bath and in minutes both towel bars back in place. I even ordered an extra one just to have on hand. So if you have the towel bar holders that are plastered in the wall and don't want to tear them out of the wall then this is the thing mine worked great and I'm Happy! Happy! Happy!! 5Easy to Install and Sturdy This is just what we needed to replace a broken towel bar that has ceramic end holders attached to a tiled wall.Simply remove one spring loaded end from the towel bar and insert the other spring loaded end into the towel bar holder. Fully depress the spring loaded end into the bar holder and hold other end of towel bar against the opposite bar holder. Make a mark on the replacement towel bar that is 1/8" LONGER than the opening between the two bar holders.Cut cleanly with a hack saw on the mark then reinsert the spring loaded end that was removed into the towel bar. Insert towel bar into one bar holder and fully depress the spring. Hold the other end of the towel bar next to the opposite bar holder and slightly bend the towel rod until it slips into the bar holder opening. All done! 5You can cut it to any size This worked out really well. My son attempted to use the original bar in the built-in towel rack for a swing. I looked all over for an 18 inch spring loaded towel rack to replace it but could not find one. I didn't think that this one would work because it was too long so I looked at the comments and realized that I could cut it down to size. You just pop the end off one side, cut it down and pop it right back on. No problems. Works really well. 5Wonderful replacement! Our shower had a tiled in rack for hanging washcloths and about 6 months ago it broke for the first time and I glued it. 3 months later it broke again and then 3 more times after that. I found this and ordered it and it is fantastic. We measured and my husband cut it with his miter saw. It fits perfectly and doesn't even jiggle around like the original bar did since it has the spring ends. This is well worth the money for how practical it is and easy to use. I have 4 kids age 4 to 12 and they are always grabbing the bar to stand on one foot or to keep from falling. It has held up to a lot of tugging and puling and wear and tear. 5Easy enough to install. You can kinda see the edges when it is installed. I only cut off just enough to be able to install it in the shower, where I am unable to remove either of the fixtures that it goes into. I did use a hand saw to cut the plastic bar to size with ease; not sure how easy that would be with a regular knife or box cutter. The serrated edge definitely helped. It s sturdier than the previous bar which it replaced due to breakage. I always remove my liter shampoo/conditioner bottles to pump, though, to be safe, since I m not certain how it would hold up to that pressure. 4It is a tighter fit and better looking that way Well this is one product that fills the bill on a difficult project. If the towel bar breaks and the mounts are adhered to the wall of the bathroom this adjustable bar will be about the only option you have. The first one I installed I cut it the exact length between the two mounts. While this will work it is a bit more secure if you remove the spring loaded end, insert the bar in the mounts at an angle and mark it a little larger than the exact distance between the mounts. It is a tighter fit and better looking that way. 5Five Stars Worked perfectly to replace an old shower bar 5Ez-Flo Adjustable Plasic 24-inchs Towel Bar White Plastic IS EZ! Original towel bar was missing when we bought the home. But I knew already in my mind what it looked like. One of the clear or white rectangular plastic towel bars that fits into ceramic tile holders mortared into the tile wall of the bathroom. Can't find them anymore, they're no longer in style. So you can remove the ceramic tile holders and replace them with matching wall tile. Simple? Well, try matching tile that is 20+ years old. I'll save you the time. Buy the Ez-Flow towel bar. It is 24" long. The space between the holders is 21'. Pop off one of the ends, measure the bar, take out your hack saw and cut the towel bar to fit. Replace the end and slide the towel bar in between the towel bar holders. Took a total of ten minutes. Looks and works great. Tight and strong. Can't go wrong! 5
