    Great fix for worn out key characters Short StoryLove these stickers. Easy to apply, ruined only my my haste to adhere, very sticky (clean & dry keys first) and stickers are not slick or overly shiny.Long StoryI needed this item as my busy little fingers had worn out the print on my wireless keyboard and our IT Department advised that I could only get a wired keyboard as a replacement due to wireless keyboards being just too darn expensive.I didn't want to give up my wireless keyboard, so decided to give these stickers a try.Great price, fast shipping.The stickers themselves apply really easily.I recommend cleaning and drying your existing keys to ensure you don't capture crumbs under the stickers.Make sure you give yourself enough time to affix otherwise you're doomed to have wonky stickers forever.The sticker themselves are matte and not slick, meaning that they won't interfere with your typing and your fingers won't slide off them. 5Helps me to see better and thus type better Gave durability a 4 as I just installed them last week and have no idea of how they will hold up under use. That said, it is easier for me to type and I make less mistakes being able to see the keys .... spell-check isn't working any more and I made a lot of typos hitting the wrong key. The keyboard still works and thought to try the stickers rather than but a new keyboard. Oh so glad I thought to try it ...... very pleased, very happy .... I have cataracts and the bright print helps me to "see" the keys better. 5Excellent Product! I bought this product as a last ditch effort to avoid having to pony up for replacement keys from HP.I didn't expect much for the price and could not be disappointed. Imagine my surprise when they arrived and I applied the only to find out that they do the job just as well as the replacement keys would and for 1% of the cost!People have posted that they do not stick for long. I suggest when your stickers arrive, clean your entire laptop. Use rubbing alcohol to clean the keys and entire keyboard area (you know you have been slacking on doing it anyway!).Get a can of compressed air and blow out all the dust first. Scrub the keys with a Q-Tip dipped in rubbing alcohol until there is no trace of dust or dirt or finger oils on the laptop surface.Once you have cleaned your keyboard of all they yucky stuff, apply the stickers and press and hold them in place for maybe 15-30 seconds.They stick like crazy after that.Thank You to the company and amazon for carrying this product. It saved me a ton of money!Also, know before buying that this product is ONLY the basic keys, it does not include things like the SHIFT keys and other command keys...You get alphabet keys, number keys and symbol keys only, so don't complain when you get them and the MS Windows key tag is not included...If you want all of the keys on your laptop you will have to probably buy the plastic keys from your manufacturer. Or purchase a high priced sticker pack.On a 1-10 scale, for what I needed and what I got, I give this product a 9.0, and the company a 10 for fast delivery and quality merchandise! 5Went on smoothly I chose this one because the font is similar to what's on the keyboard now. One I looked at had italic or slanted text and I think that would drive me nuts. I used an X-Acto knife to peel and place them and it went smoothly - very straight forward. I have the ergonomic curved keyboard so small misalignments aren't noticeable, but on a straight keyboard I would have wanted to be more careful. I added a photo of the stickers half done, and a close up of them completed. You can see a visible edge on each sticker but that's not bothersome to me. Also, note that the F and J stickers have a small cutout to accommodate the tactile bump that's normally found on these keys. As far as stickiness - THEY ARE ON THERE and I don't think they're coming off. 5Overall, I'm satisfied with the product I've had the stickers on for several months. I put them on the most used keys on which the letters were wearing off. The stickers are developing holes from constant use. I can still see the letters, though. The stickers did not come off, which is good. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product. I may have to buy another set soon. The letters I need are e,a,s,n. The D is still solid.Update: 22 months after I brought the stickers: the letters a,s,e,n are wearing holes in them.But they are on the key tops and show no signs of peeling. Others that I put on: d, m are OK (they apparently are not used as much.I will buy another set to replace the 4 worn ones. I probably could wait another 4-5 months if I wanted to. 4Great "fix-it" stickers! These stickers bring new life to a worn-out keyboard. I'm a touch typist and so by habit I rest my fingers on "f" and "j"... the "home" keys. Whether I'm using a mouse or a touchpad, I still tend to leave my left hand frozen "in position" on the keyboard. This tends to wear out some prime key markings on the left side of my keyboard along with other frequently typed keys. We (my husband and I) bought these stickers hoping they'd last a few weeks if nothing else (they were certainly cheap enough to take a chance on). I can say now, months later, that we're really pleased with them. Neither one of us is having any issues with the stickers coming up or fading. We're on our computers for a good 12+ hours a day, so we're not lite users by any means. I bought a few extra sheets of stickers when we made our original purchase, assuming that we'd need to recover the first set relatively quickly... hahahaha on us... those extra stickers are gathering dust and I don't anticipate using them for a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up replacing this laptop before I replace these stickers! Great stickers at a cheap price... I won't EVER let myself suffer a missing "D", "S", "E", "M", "N", "I" or "T" again! 5May need to be replaced every few months, but cheap enough to not break the bank if you do These stick well and come off easily. I'm not sure what I do to my keyboards; I keep my nails short and I think I type with my finger pads but I wear off the letters quickly and now have made holes in these letter stickers after about 3 months, so they are not incredibly durable, but they are cheap enough to just replace them every few months. 4Looks Like the Real Thing...Love this!! Love this. Easy to put on. Of note, these stickers do not come with certain keyboard buttons including tab, caps lock, shift etc.Some reviews said they eventually slide off. I can see that especially if you constantly use dirty fingers, oily fingers, type with nails vs finger tip, or are very rough with your typing. Its a sticker...so like stickers when they warm up on are constantly touched, the sticker will eventually begin to shift. Its a quick fix and worth it for price for me anyway. 5Like new I finally bit the bullet and tackled the job on my keyboard which was far less than two years old when the letters began chipping off. There were more than 10 affected keys with the letters A, N, and M almost completely gone. I'm not a great typist, so having illegible keys slows me down even more.I thoroughly cleaned the keys with alcohol before beginning and since the keys and stickers had such a strong affinity for each other I couldn't get far without an Exacto knife to lift the tightly clinging corners to re-position the stickers. That's not necessary if you can live with crooked letters, numbers, and symbols.Btw, when I started I considered covering just the keys that were chipped but these replacements are not an exact match to my originals and the effect wasn't pleasing to the eye.The keyboard looks great and the entire undertaking took less than an hour, so I can recommend these stickers without hesitation. 5Well Worth the Small Cost I touch type about 60 wpm and am on the computer a lot. I have an ergonomic keyboard that I paid about $70 for so I wasn't interested in getting rid of it anytime soon. I thought that I would give this product a try.The letter font and size exactly match the ones on my keyboard. Contrary to a negative review, they are thin enough that I do not feel a raised rim. If I had not applied them, I would know that they are there.I took the suggestion to clean the key to be covered with alcohol. I used a thin blade, pointed, slicing knife from the kitchen drawer to lift the letters off their adhesive paper and apply to keys that needed covering. I would recommend this knife technique because once lifted they stick to the end of the knife tip. That makes it really easy to align them and apply. EZ-PZ.While it is true that this is not a complete keyboard set - lacking shift, caps lock, etc - I have never worn out those keys in a lifetime of computer use. I'm thinking, why pay extra for something that will never be used?For the negative reviews that mentioned this is not a permanent solution, that would be correct. It is a semi-permant solution. If I replaced the letters once every six month, the cost of buying this product would be equal to the cost of another keyboard.... in 5 years!! 5
