Let the Light be With You! I can't improve on what others have said about this light string - really, really nice. I bought a 24' string specifically for our 27' Airstream trailer awning. They hang perfectly, and with the bubbles in the ends of the acrylic 'bulbs', looking up at them makes them magical. If we don't use the awning because of winds or whatever, we can always spread them somewhere on the ground without worry of stepping on them.The heavy duty cords aren't stiff like some electrical cords are which is super. I connected the 12-light string to my energy use meter, and it measured 9 watts, which calculates to 0.75 watt/bulb.The 2700k warm white light is perfect. For us, any LED light more than 3000k is too cold and uninviting. Finally, I think LED light producers are acknowledging that many or most people prefer the warmer LED lights - not those 5000k ones.A great product for sure. I'm glad I came across these. 5Awesome lights! Highly recommended! I picked these up at Sam's Club over the weekend and they are awesome!!! They put out the right amount of light and look great on my patio. Even though each of the bulbs has it's own hanger, I used coax nails to tack them to the underside of the soffit, directly underneath the guttering. The cable as well as the lights are heavy duty and you can feel the quality that was put into them in manufacturing. The LED's are nice not only because they are energy efficient but because I will never have to change a bulb! I highly recommend these. Check out my patio! 5Durable LED Cafe lights, not terribly warm (color temperature) but energy efficient and bright A few important notes: I purchased a standard bulb set (12W bulbs) from Reit that were the same size and spacing as these for comparison. The standard Edison bulbs show a glowing filament, with a very amber color which is extremely desirable for backyard settings. However, the heat coming off even these very low-wattage bulbs, and the fact they will burn out in a few thousand hours, plus the much higher energy needed to run them convinced me to pick the Enbrighten LED lights. Just expect a fairly bright light, definitely not amber but warm enough that they look like high-wattage filament lights. Not really dim enough for mood lighting, bright enough to actually light up a yard. You should also be aware that the reason they say "never replace a bulb again" is that these are not bulbs. They look exactly like old-fashioned sockets with LED replica light bulbs, but the actual LED lights are molded into the base and the acrylic covers screw into the base to look like a bulb and socket, but they are not. You have to take off the acrylic 'bulb' to get to the LED housing. Three small screws hold their proprietary light in place, above the circuitry that runs the LED. I think they under-drive the PC-board LED so it lasts, and there are no cooling issues for the driver or the LED. I predict the lights will last a long time because Enbrighten seems to well-engineered their components. If these will be hung in a hard-to-reach place, just make sure you can get to the lights and spend some time doing a moderately complicated replacement of the lamp when they do eventually fail. The cable is very thick and should withstand even Phoenix' high UV and ozone environment. I've used a small hook drilled through concrete roof tiles to hang these around the perimeter of our second story. Thus my warning about getting to the lights after they are installed. I hung 300 feet with a remote timer and LED dimmer, works very well and only uses a measured 118 watts total, even with the voltage drop over 300 feet. The last light and first light in the string are the same brightness. 5Perfect light quality, durable and attractive. One year update: We had a hail storm that caused extensive damage to homes, trees and vehicles. The lights hung in there with only two bulbs taking on minimal moisture, but they continue to work perfectly.Original review:I suspended these from a thin wire across a 40 foot span between my detached garage and a tree, then 8 feet back to the house. The color temperature is pleasant without being yellow and the brightness is perfect for my installation. I also connected the string to a GE zwave outdoor switch so that it can be controlled remotely via a Smartthings hub. 5Great outdoor lighting A very good buy. Needed lighting for under a very dark deck to illuminate stairs and basement apartment entrance. Ran an extension cord, used a timer, and the lights stay on all night. Lights generate no heat and provide sufficient light. Bulbs are heavy duty, almost solid lucite-like material; they are stranded 2 apart; the cord and hangars are heavy duty rubber. This set up saved a lot of time and money rather than trying to run electricity and outdoor motion detectors. Also, at two watts per bulb - leaving these lights on for 300 hours a month (10 hours per night) will cost (in NY metro area) about .44 per month (.077 per kilowatt). A no-brainer. 5High quality!! I have purchased these lights for our backyard. We wanted to spend some time outside enjoying the beautiful weather but cannot do so while it's dark. Therefore, we spent a lot of research on how to light it up.We absolutely love this product. It is very durable and unbreakable. It's almost impossible to break these lights. They also guarantee a life time warrant, never replace a light again.We live in Houston, Texas and we get a lot of rains every year so that was a bit of a concern. Water did not have any effect on this product whatsoever.I highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a high quality lifetime investment. 5Worth the price. These lights are very nice. The quality looks and feels very high. The clear "bulb" portion is super thick and I suspect they are very hard to break. I have seen lights that look like these in retail big box stores at a lower price, but those were incandescent not LED. These are LED and the color is a warm white (yellow tinge) which is exactly what I wanted. My only caution would be to support these lights if you are not going to use a screw at every bulb. I'm sure you could skip every other bulb or something but long spans seem like a bad idea. I hung mine with zip ties from vinyl coated steel cable since I wanted to have them span long distances between trees and under a pergola. The string's wire is very strong but also heavy, and I would be concerned about a connection breaking over time if they were not attached at each bulb or hung from a strong cable. Wind and ice can be very hard on things. A huge plus for me is that they can be plugged in "end to end" since I only have power available at one point and I wanted to control them all via an iDevices outdoor switch so I could turn them on or off with my iPhone or Apple Watch. Everyone goes "oooh" or "ahhhh" when I turn these on at night by saying "Siri turn on the yard lights". I plan to buy more.At the time of this review, I've only had these lights for a few months. I will update after I've owned longer. 5LED bulbs are not water resistant The Enbrighten Caf Lights are great and add an elegance to the patio and other areas. The problem with the Enbirghten system is that the LED bulbs tends to fill with water after 1-2 years which damages the bulb. I have 4 strings of the 24' caf lights and have already lost 3- bulbs per string. They are not replaceable according to Jasco however the company says to call their Tech Support line and they will replace the strings. I plan to try their warranty policy n hopes Jasco will replace the strings. However because the LEDs are not individually replaceable the entire system now has to be taken down and replaced. 2WOW! I have to say that I am totally impressed WOW! I have to say that I am totally impressed with this product. I manufacture LED's for motorcycles & I have to say these are the finest constructed LED's for this type of application I have ever seen. When they say they are indestructible, they are. These are truly commercial grade construction & they should never fail. I did my research here & China. There are lights that are $30 cheaper & they are junk in comparison. The hangers are very versatile for easy installation. Now understand these are commercial grade & the main wiring harness is the diameter of a 30 foot extension cord. Not some mickey mouse holiday lighting cord. These emit a nice soft glow, just right for evening entertainment on the patio. I bought the 48' & it was perfect for my application.Hope this helps you make your decision. I don't usually write in depth reviews. 5These are AMAZING!!! What I love: the look of the bulbs is modern and unique, perfect brightness, they truly are shatter-proof and if there is any doubt, they come with a lifetime guarantee.I love these lights. I wanted a nice set to go around my patio ceiling and I started off buying the most basic set with incandescents since it was cheapest. Very quickly I discovered it was a huge mistake. The set came with 36 bulbs, and only 24 sockets which should have been a clue there. But as I was setting up one of the bulbs literally BURST, scattering itty bitty glass shards all over the deck. It took me hours and my vacuum to clean, and I'm still finding them. Then I started to imagine, what if the lights were up and that happened? It would be raining glass on top of us, in our eyes, etc. That was when I decided to switch to LEDs forever.When I ordered these, I didn't realize how great they were until they arrived. I tried it imagine an acrylic light bulb that couldn't be replaced, but that was difficult. I was pleasantly surprised to find the "bulb" in the picture isn't exactly a light bulb. It's a large thick chunk of acrylic that is shaped like a light bulb with cute little bubble designs inside, on top of a tiny bulb (like a Christmas light). The thick acrylic seems impossible to crack or break, much less shatter and the overall look is great. Additionally, since the actual light bulb is so small, these have a nice gentle brightness, unlike some negative reviews I've read on other LED sets where people have to buy dimmers because they are too bright.I am more than satisfied with this set and highly recommend it! 5
