They really work. I've got a hardwood floor and a couch with hardwood legs. Every 3 or 4 days I'd notice that the couch had slid back about 3 feet. I tried the non-slip carpet stuff that was under my carpet, but it didn't work. So I gave these a shot. CONFIRMED AWESOMENESS. Although they aren't sticky to the touch, after a few days of use they somehow stick to the floor. My couch doesn't move anymore. I can even sit on the floor in front of the couch, lean back against the couch, and not slide. WOW. These things do what you want them to. So... 5 stars. 5Unbelievable - they really work! These things really work! I have two Terrier-ists who run through the house every day. In addition to leaving hair all over, they run into the loveseat and ottoman at warp speed. Since they are on laminate flooring I have come home to find the upholstered loveseat in the dining room (I have an open floor plan) and the ottoman at a rakish 45 degree angle. I never thought these would keep the furniture from sliding because my dogs exert a lot of energy into their jumps and tumbles on the furniture. To my amazement these things are great! I have to move the furniture myself to clean under it! 5Miracle squares defy physics I bought these gripper squares to help keep my dad's recliner in from sliding back on the hardwood floor. The recliner is sturdy, and so is my dad. Since he is recovering from a stroke, getting up from his chair is harder than usual. He tends to rely more on the chair for support, and its tendency to slide makes the whole situation dangerous. Dad refuses to consider an alternate chair.These four squares have worked far beyond my expectations. They are just thick pads with a texture on each side. You get one under each chair leg, and suddenly it seems like the chair is actually rooted to the hardwood floor.The chair still moves a little when dad gets up. I think that's inevitable. But an inch or two instead of a foot is the difference between him not falling and falling. I am grateful for that.I tried several different kinds of "stick on" products from the hardware store before I ordered these from DURA-GRIP. They didn't get the job done. 5Does not last I have had these for a year now for my couch and love seat. They worked well initially but with time lost their grip and now the couch slides or shifts every time someone sits or gets up from it. There is no adhesion to the feet of the furniture and non slip works only for a small period of time on hardwood floors. 1My sectional stays put !!!!!! I have tried so many things to stop our sectional from sliding all over the living room on our laminate floors. These dura-grip pads finally did the job. You cut them down to the size of the base of your sofa feet. In my case I cut them down to circles about an inch and a half in diameter. 5Perfect solution for wood floors We put wood laminate down over the summer (2017) and one of the couches we didn't put against a wall, it's on an angle. Obviously it just slid every time you sat on it. Read so many reviews on so many solutions and a review on here sold me. You get 4 pads, for our couch, one pad cut in 4ths was all we needed. Barely bushed at all!!! Same pads have been there for 7 months and going to change them out. 5I can't praise this product enough! I bought my couch set in 2004, and it sits on a smooth hardwood floor. Since the couches are not heavy, and the feet smooth, they always slide around. They were supposed to lock together, but the plastic pieces to lock them never worked right. So anytime anyone sat with any force on the couches, they would keep moving - an embarrassment when we had guests over!I tried the rubber stick on pads, which worked, but they wear (become smooth) quickly, and they detach from the feet (I even tried nailing them in place). Not to mention they collect dust/hair and anything off the floors. So I would have to try to remove them (not an easy task), and put new ones every few months. I had given up on ever solving this problem!I would have to constantly pull the corner piece together. My son is autistic, and could never stand the couches moving and coming apart. So it was a constant struggle.Enter the Dura-Grips! I never thought they would work - because they do not stick to the couch feet. Just buy them, don't worry about the price.I was looking around for solutions to stop my sofa sliding around on my hardwood floors as, unless you sat down with the grace of royalty, my sofa and ottoman would always be scooting away.The price of these put me off as I couldn't believe something so simple should cost so much to make, so I tried many alternate options before caving and putting down my money for these.Once setup my mind was blown and I was kicking myself for leaving it so long before purchasing.Our sofa and ottoman are now both sitting on these. For the sofa I just put them under the legs, but for the ottoman I hot-glued them to the feet so that we can reposition the ottoman when needed without having to re-align the pads all the time. The sofa does not move an inch, I can sit on the sofa and push as hard as I can against the floor and it just doesn't budge.Our floor are saved (or at least not getting worse), and the sofa is where I left it.Great product and highly recommended. We just moved into a home with laminate flooring in the living area and our couch was scooting around as if it was on ice. Just shifting how you were sitting on the couch put it at risk of moving location, never mind when the 350lb father-in-law dropped onto it like a dead weight. We purchased a pack of the 4-inch version as well as the 3-inch version and used 2 of each (our couch has slightly wider legs up front.) Now you can not only drop onto it like the father-in-law, but even sit on the floor with your full weight leaning against it and it won't budge a fraction of an inch. 5These work GREAT! I had a problem with my four poster bed slowly crawling across my hardwood floor. I had an 8 X 10 area rug under two of the legs but that just slowed it down a bit. Every few weeks I'd find myself too far from my bedside table to reach the remote control. I placed two of these on the hardwood floor, and the other two on the rug and now no more nocturnal skidding! Actually, I think the two on the hardwood would have done it. 5
