    Try this one out in your RV My original Radio RV Antenna was awful - it was just a ribbon cable tucked down between to RV front cap and interior wall. So I thought what the heck I will try this soft wire antenna as a replacement for my ribbon cable. Wow! This little flex wire antenna works fantastic. I get great FM radio reception 80 miles away from LA broadcasting stations in the middle of the desert. And there are no holes to drill or ugly external radio antenna masts. 5Good! I purchased this to replace a similar antenna that the previous owner had installed on my 81 Jeep. It installed nicely and easy enough since I already had a large hole in the cowl.It's white so a little different but I think cool. Works well as far as I can tell as long as the screw doesn't freeze up like the last one did. Different brand but the center screw rusted and I had to drill it out.I researched forever to find a replacement and it's not easy so I pulled the trigger on this vs waiting and I'm very happy I did. Check one more thing off the Jeep to do list.The only reason for 4 stars is the rubber mast is a bit deformed and not straight but that is ok. Still a nice product. On a boat, I'm sure it would look right at place. 4Works great on my motorcycle! This antaenna works really well inside of my batwing fairing on my bike! I'm in a pretty urban area so most of the signals aren't coming from very far away but I am hey happy to not have to run wires for an antenna.. 5Mast unscrews for easy boat covering Besides the short cord, this has worked wonders for my speedboat.. I had to go ahead and get an extension cord to run from the back of my boat to the radio in the middle. Mast unscrews for easy boat covering.Used with this cord : 20 Feet Universal Male to Female Extension Radio AM/FM Car Antenna Adapter Cable 5Works Great Works great - was not able to pick up any radio stations while on the lake and now I can pick up all of them clearly. Just have it laid out flat in a side pocket with no special mounting. 5Works as good as an external antenna on my boat. I didn't want an external antenna on my boat so I got this cable and plugged it into the radio, then ran the wire on the underside of the gunnel. It picks up local radio like my car. I'm please with the result. 5It works well! I replaced the cheap "wire style" antenna with this....and even have it positioned inside the boat....in a cabinet next to the radio...and it draws in MORE stations! I wish there was an easier way to mount it outside, but this antenna would require a big hole, and an area on the boat that is thin enough....but even as I have it installed....it work better!I 100% recommend this product! Even if you don't mount it outside! 4works well with Duel AMB600w Receiver Inserted duel amb600w marine radio without any issues. I drilled a couple holes on backside to allow for heat escape. Many others complained of burning up their receiver. I use 5-8 hrs at a time without issue 5Better than other splashguards I have seen. I love that the door opens all the way, almost 180 degrees, out of the way. Several of the other waterproof covers don't open all the way. Also, the plastic cover is very, very clear, I like that, looks more like acrylic than plastic. I like that when it's open, I can see right through the plastic door, no tint, I can see what's underneath, in my case, I have buttons that I need to be able to see. Also, there is a soft grommet the clear plastic pushes against when closed forming a water-tight seal. You do have to cut a slightly bigger hole in the dash, the radio sleeve installs thru this unit. BUT, the hole is not much bigger that a standard DIN radio, maybe an 1/8th of an inch. Some of the radio covers where the cover disappears by rolling back over the top of the radio require a much bigger hole.THE PICTURES JUST SHOW IT IN PLACE, IT IS NOT INSTALLED YET, just held in place to see what it would look like. I like the way it looks!! It will move back about a 1/4 inch and be more flush once installed. The white DIN frame on my radio was loose too, so that will not be sticking out. but you'll get the idea.I will try to post a picture once it's fully installed. 5Works Great! I bought a 1996 Toyota Tacoma recently. The kid who owned it did not like the radio mast antenna, so he used body filler to fill in the hole. So, naturally, the radio had terrible reception. Wanting to avoid drilling out the hole, etc. I ordered this. At first, I could only get a few stations and was dissatisfied. But buy moving the wire around under my dash, I found it worked as well as a mast antenna; at least for our local FM stations. What was strange is I only had to move the extended wire a few inches for optimal reception.As a test, I hooked up a FM "T" shaped antenna to the end of the antenna wire I bought. No improvement in reception. So this device alone does a fine job. 5
