Cheap materials, poor design, overpriced This is a horrible design and i will be returning.To start, where the assembly attaches to the pipe coming from your wall are static threads (see photo 3) rather than a compression fitting. What this means is you have no adjustment from the get, where your assembly tightens down on your pipe is where your assembly is staying, there is no adjustment via fittings. What the manufacturer expects you to do is add or remove rubber washers inside of the fitting (2 are provided) and get lucky with everything being verticle After you have snugged/bottomed it out on the pipe coming from your wall. In general there is a really narrow window that unless you are incredibly lucky and your threads match up and max out being perfectly Vertical, then you wont be happy with the end result (see 1st photo) its a poor design, the settings in the shower head dont completely shut off so you always have water dripping down the faces of the shower heads (see photo 2). The materials are very cheap, mostly plastic, the hose is nice but that hardly merits the price.As if this all wasnt enough, where the shower wand sits, is a swivel that with the weight of the wand tips forward and points the water at the wall or worse the wand nearly and with enough time could fall out of its holster. 1Best shower ever! I love love love this thing!One disclaimer: I bought separately and installed an 8 foot hose instead of using the one that came in the package. I'm not happy with the standard 5 foot hose that comes with most of these shower heads. That is saying nothing about the quality of the supplied hose. It is all metal and looks like excellent quality.Even with some minor confusion on our part, the unit installed in about 15 minutes. The instructions are clear and concise with pictures. The confusion was us, not the manufacturer's fault.Water flow is very good. The different settings really help to give you a decent shower. I really love the mist setting because it's nice heavy water flow that soaks you, but it's soft. I use the "shut off" setting (slows the water down to a few drops) to save hot water when I soap up. The shower lasts longer.All of the settings are designed to give you a luxury feel and that's what I get here. I've never enjoyed a shower head so much.The bar for adjusting the height of the hand held is the best! Our shower is one that you have to step up into. The bottom of the tub is a few inches higher than the bathroom floor. I'm only average height and have trouble standing outside the tub and lifting a regular hand held shower head up and out of the cradle without having to step into the tub. With this, I've got it lowered all the way and can easily reach it. When you are only cleaning or spraying something inside the tub you don't necessarily want to have to get into the tub to get the hand held out or put it back. That's why I love this bar. Plus we are older and shower with a shower chair. It's nice to be able to reach the hand held from a seated position.I can't say enough good things. I've had it a month now. If anything negative happens I'll come back and change my review. 5Good product, just don't make the same installation mistake I did, otherwise very easy to install. It's great for the price. Note that it is not real metal, not that you would expect it to be at this price point. It feels like chrome plated plastic but it is of good quality. I used the included thread tape for all connections and not one drop of leak anywhere. The spray is also very even and smooth.Installation tip... I've learned it the hard way so you don't have to... Installation should be a breeze unless you did what I did (like an idiot)...DO NOT put the gray plastic cap on the rod UNTIL you slided the rod through the diverter/support. I thought I would test it for fit, well, you can't get it back off once it is on. It fits perfectly alright. Then you can't get the rod through the diverter/support opening. To solve the problem, I have to put the other end (came pre-capped with a chrome color cap) between a half opened drawer and yank the cap off to install it from the other end. Don't bother to try to unscrew it off though there is a small hex shape insert on the chrome colored cap. It is NOT screwed on. I know because I've tried and even punched through it. It is purely cosmetic. The chrome cap just goes straight in-an-out by sheer friction.Yes, please go ahead to mark this review as "Helpful" if it was to you. Cheers. 5A product that improves QOL Purchased for my father who has limited mobility due to cancer, thus unable to stand for significant periods or hop in the tub. Thus, he also couldn't use his hands which he needed for support.This product is great for the price at $50. Shower heads with adjustable height were few (think it saw maybe 4) on Amazon including one steel set. The design is simple, easy to assemble, fit is smooth and the materials are not cheap, despite being made mostly of chrome covered PVC, which is pretty much standard for anything), with a thin steel walled tube, which won't shatter with a touch. Strong enough nit to bend.The flow of both heads is fantastic even with the regulators still in and despite the addition of a 2d head. Each setting is clearly it's own, without it just being a variation of one, more or less. The difference can be felt.Great purchase. Folks were initially resistant, si I bought it and installed it myself on my own orders.. and they secretly love it. First time after install, I've seen my father in the shower just sitting there, since prior to his cancer. 5Super easy install Delivery was timely. This was part of a special project; 'renovations by senior women on a fixed income. First, the price. I had looked in the big box stores and their comparably featured products were more than double the Amazon price. When I opened the box, the fact that there were multiple pieces was a bit intimidating but the directions were excellent and it took less than 15 minutes and no tools to install. The adjustable height feature is an added bonus in households that have people of varying heights. I'm 5'2" and it was fine for me. My sons test drove the new shower head, as well. They are both over 6' tall and thought it was a great improvement. Today, my daughter called from work so that I could explain to her 64 year o;d coworker, how it worked and how to install it so that is another one sold. For senior DIYers with next to no plumbing skills, it's a great product. 5Good product. Missing instructions! Compared to similar products made by Delta or other well known brands the build quality seems good for the price. There are multiple shower settings and there is probably a setting for everyone. The water pressure is good with both the shower heads spraying and with the water flow regulator in place.The hand shower barely reaches the shower floor, so you might need a longer hose if you are installing this product to bathe your baby. The water diverter switch is setup a little odd. Water flow will be turned OFF to the showerhead that is selected. This is a little strange and seems to be by design, but shouldnt be bothersome for most people.Installation: Installation is pretty straight forward. I'm knocking a star for not including the instructions. Please see the attached scan of the instruction sheet I received from customer service. There were a couple of things that stood out in the instruction sheet. 1. PFTE tape is to be used only on the inlet pipe thread and not on any other parts. 2. The conical end cap goes up the top of the slide bar and makes it much tighter to rotate the slide bar. 4Depending on your intent, it's ok. For our purposes of bringing the shower head lower while my 5 year old learns to shower it's very good. As soon as you start to move the sprayer around, like in cleaning and rinsing, you get problems. The plastic bar that holds the sprayer is a fairly cheap plastic and will come apart from the main shower head if you allow any pressure whatsoever to be applied while removing or returning the sprayer. It's a two hand operation to ensure you are being gentle. 4Poor design, cheap materials--not a good deal--choose something better! Please--don't waste your money! It's inexpensive because it is CHEAP! Most parts are flimsy plastic and the design is ridiculously poor quality! Why do people often get the slide bar type hand-held shower? Because they are short and can't reach the shower when high up. So where is the control to divert the water to the hand-held versus the stationary shower head-- actually above the shower head--even higher up! The design is also terrible in that if you have water flowing to both pieces, the hand-held is literally in front of the shower head flow, there is no way to tilt the hand-held forward, you can only pivot it side to side which is nonsense! Seriously, it is not worth it, it's nice to find a good price when it is attached to a quality product, trust me, this is not one of those times! 2Bought a second one! Impressed with quality for the money. I couldn't find anything cheaper to drop the height of my showerheads to be within reach of my shorty wife and daughter. I find the multiple spray settings mostly a novelty, but I have to admit the spray selector mechanism on this unit operates much more smoothly than the waterpik model that I used to have. Likewise, the sliding adjustment mechanism is superb. Installation was a snap, and I do believe this is the first time I've ever installed a fixture that went in leak-free the first time. After trying out the first one I bought, I got a second one for my daughter's bathroom. 5Very pleased with this Dreamspa Very pleased with this Dreamspa. Love the adjustable height possibilities on the hand held head for us shorter folks. Able to use both heads easily at the same time or switch easily to either one. Able to pause flow when shampooing, which is a plus for conserving water. Highly recommend this product over other brands. 5
