    Great product with great design Fits great and the securing bracket is a good idea. I will echo the sentiments of others on here who have found that the bolts are about 1" too long for most applications. I do not fault the product for that because it was easy to cut them. I also had the problem of having an odd parallel 2x4 behind where my old holder was located I just drilled a 1" hole in it for the bolt to pass through. 5Great holder! I'm thrilled with this toilet paper holder. I've been frustrated trying to find a holder to fit a small space that there isn't an available stud to install a traditional type holder. This took me less than ten minutes to install, it looks great and is attached very solidly. 5Very nice! very nice heavy piece and the spinner is a nicely weighted and I believe it to not be plastic (like most) as it's very substantial! Strange to talk about a toilet roll dispenser, but we remodeled our master and the walk in shower pony wall with glass atop is long and slightly higher for a pony wall (for a tad of privacy) was kind of close to the toilet and we did not want to go through the expense of moving a toilet on a second floor remodel. This worked well as it saved that bit of space where a regular roller would protrude and make it slightly cumbersome. This worked out very well. 5Spinning and winning Got off to a bumpy start with the install but only because my house is old and there were lots of surprises. The kind that hourly handymen are thrilled to run into. After measuring it out and figuring where the studs were make sure to avoid electrical I dug in. Had some dry wall mess from a bad remodel at some point still hanging out in the wall. Made the install a bit more challenging then necessary. After I saw all the heck out of the drywall and debris in my way it went in smooth sailing. Everything I needed was in the kit which freakin rocks. I would recommend this for sure. The hardest part for me was the first cut into the wall. Lol. No going back baby!!! 5** Designers Impressions Polished Chrome Recessed Toilet Paper Holder ~~ BEST HIGH QUALITY HOLDER I HAVE SEEN YET! Wow, it doesn't get much better than this recessed Toilet Paper Holder. When they say "All Metal" they are right... no plastic anywhere on this holder. Even the pull out spring loaded roll holder is all METAL! Very impressive chrome plating also. High quality chrome finish. ** Outside measurement is 6 inches by 6 inches, so you need to cut a square hole of 5 & 1/8 inches by 5 & 1/8 inches [as per the instructions included -- instruction sheet also has a printed template so you can cut out and use to mark cut out needed on wall or cabinet] and the holder will fit in and the flared front and back holder will keep it in place. I have bought 3 different holders like this, and the problem area is always the back bracket being either flimsy or thin gauge metal, and bending.** THIS is the BEST recessed toilet paper I have seen yet. I used this in the side of my vanity cabinet, so I had to use a jig saw to cut out the hole in the 1/2" particle board side panel, being careful that the inside bracket didn't interfere with the inside counter top. All went well. Great High Quality product, nice to see this high quality still around. Great job Designers Impressions. Great product and Value. I bought the POLISHED CHROME model to match my chrome plumbing fixtures.** 6-8-2017: I just ordered a second one of these recessed holders to replace the one in my second bathroom. Very impressed with this holder's all-around high quality! 5Very nice quality. I did a fair amount of research ... Very nice quality. I did a fair amount of research and also shopped Lowes and Home Depot before buying this one. It was an easy install and perfectly deep enough for those big rolls of toilet paper. 5Easy to install, looks great that was a pretty easy install, even on a wood cabinet. Had to cut a hole in the template, draw a line to mark the square opening, screw some pilot holes in the corners and use a little saw. Then just poke it through and screw the bracket on the back. Nice item, looks great and gives a few extra inches in a very tight space. 5Item exactly as described... Excellent TP holder and its about time someone made these things with a metal spring rod. I hate those plastic ones plus the entire unit feels of quality. It was a perfect fit to replace the old chrome one I had. The only thing I had to do was cut off about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch on the holding screws. It was an easy job with a pair of quality wire stripper that have thread chasers for small screws. The screws that came with mine would bottom out on the exterior wall so it would not tighten up. 5Gets Stuck with (Bigger) Costco Full Rolls This was typical size I was looking for something to hold the Big Costco size rolls without being hard to pull when full roll. This is not any different than the size I replaced. It cannot spin with bigger size rolls of paper until some paper has been removed. It s nice looking and easy to attach. Unfortunately I was looking for something deeper for the big rolls this is not it. I will keep it, being It matches and a deeper style I have yet to find. 5Nice Finish and Good Instructions Having only just installed this, I can only vouch for its appearance and build. It feels solid and the finish was very nice. It came with everything necessary to install it, including instructions and a template. I took my time cutting out the hole, re-positioning the insulation inside the wall, ensuring it was level, and it took me less than 20 minutes to install, including cleanup.Unrelated to the review, but perhaps as a cautionary tale, I used a stud finder to center the hole between the studs. After cutting out the section of drywall, I discovered that one side was flush with some blocking (see photo). 1/8th inch to the left and I would have hit solid wood. 5Easy to install, looks great. This thing was great. Previous owner put a exterior roll holder too close to the commode and it was knocked off a few too many times and eventually tore the drywall. This was a cinch to install. Make sure you have a good drywall saw, and use a studfinder. Other than that it's very nice. One thing I wish they would do is make it a quarter inch bigger to accommodate larger rolls. 5
