    TERRIBLE DESIGN! Doesn't even hold a small roll correctly. At first glance this is an awesome buy at 16 dollars... looks nice.. I even installed it... and then realized it wouldn't hold anything but a half-used roll. The roller bar is right in the middle... it should be placed 1/4" higher, and the little arms that hold it out are soooo short, it squishes the roll into the back of the holder.Essentially worthless. I'm returning the second one and looking for a design with longer arms. 1Handles Costco/Sams Club Rolls It's sturdy metal. Oiled rubbed bronze is a pretty good rendition. Ours went into the cabinet next to the toilet. Cut out a slot, put it in, secure with a back bar, screw to tighten, done. I think you can even move the back bar a bit side to side in case a different position makes it easier to screw on. the space is big enough to handle Costco or Sams Club sized rolls. Now the TP holder is off to the side, instead of performing an exorcist move to reach behind on the wall. 4Good quality. The complaints that it's too small for ... Good quality. The complaints that it's too small for a standard size roll (what marketing people call a double sized roll) is accurate however it's not because the holder isn't deep enough but because a full roll rubs the bottom edge. It's not a problem if you just pull the paper straight out instead of down when the roll is full. 4Looks great Adds a nice updated look in a remodeled bathroom for not a lot of money. I can't tell the difference between this one and a more expensive model. I will say it could be a little deeper, but that is not the fault of the manufacturer as all of these are pretty much the same depth. The toilet paper I use gets hung up because the roll is too thick, so you either have to leave it out for a few uses or force the roll to turn by hand. Or use a thinner paper. 5Good for tight spaces Nice heavy product, easy to install. Holder is plastic but solid, wall insert is heavy and nice. I have a narrow area and people kept bumping the surface mounted holders and breaking them off the wall. Now there is no way that can happen. I tried with large toilet paper roll and the roll sits against the bottom due to the large diameter of the TP roll tube. This is not a problem if you are pulling the TP straight out or slightly up as you pull. If trying to pull straight down, the TP might tear off at the pleats due to the friction at that angle. Keep it at leg level and you won't have any issue. 5I love the look Bought for a total overhaul of our <20sf powder room, to replace the very dated (and rusty!) polished chrome and acrylic tp holder. I love the look. The squared and slightly beveled corners look classy, and the slightly highlighted accents in the color are understated enough that it works well with both oil rubbed bronze and black fixtures (we have both).Two minor complaints---first, it's not quite big enough to hold the jumbo Costco-sized rolls, so I end up setting the new roll on the counter until it's been used up enough to fit. And second, the matte black/bronze finish obviously shows tp fibers that get shed as the roll gets used. But I figure in both cases it's probably due to the paper we buy (giant Kirkland brand 30-pack) and would be the same with another tp holder. 4Nice holder, easy installation I just ordered a second one for my upstairs bath as well.Great paper holder, I didn't have the issues others mentioned, mine came with a back plate,& double sized rolls do fit it to my satisfaction.The color is dark oiled bronze, nearly black, just what I was looking for, and the paper holder is spring loaded and positively holds the paper in.Installation, literally took 10 minutes to install in my bath (single layer sheetrock walls)1) cut the included template out (I used the smaller of the two patterns shown),2) find the stud(s) & stud void closest to the toilet(I have baseboard heat, so I looked inside the heater for its mounting screws to immediately find the stud, instead of tapping the wall listening for the void, or grabbing a magnet to find sheetrock screws)3) held the template to the wall in a convenient location in the void between studs4) leveled the template, traced out the square shape in pencil, & cut the single layer sheetrock layer with a simple sheetrock saw.(my previous home had wood lathe & horsehair plaster walls, that would have required a more substantial saw, a way to secure the lathes while cutting them and some kind of respiratory protection when cutting)5) attached the backing plate to the holder with two screws, leaving the screws loose6) popped the backing plate through the wall, tightened the screws, leveling the housing as I tightened the screws.Done.No complaints, and would recommend. 5Good quality. I'm happy with the quality of this. The metal is heavier than the Delta equivalent. Mine came with a good quality metal backplate for mounting in drywall. (I had to buy the latter part separately to mount the Delta equivalent.) The threads on the mounting screws are metric and placed differently from a Delta, so you can't mount it on a Delta backplate or use the same screw holes, if you're replacing a Delta. Mine also came with two useless, non-brass-colored wood screws to use if you're mounting to wood instead of using the included backplate. Overall, I think this is a good product. 4Nice Looks great, exactly what I wanted. Can t seem to get it to tighten down properly but I suspect it is because I installed in a mobile home and my drywall isn t as thick as a regualr home. I already have a fix for this lined up.... a little liquid nails should do the trick. It doesn t move anyway unless I try to move it. You won t be able to use large rolls with this holder!!! 4Horrible to install, but pretty if you're successful This is much nicer looking than the old one we had but omg, what a HASSLE to install! I have a great amount of patience and I'm quite the home DIY-er, but I wanted to break this into little pieces! The screws are pathetic, they stripped within a few turns off a manual screwdriver! Back out it came. ..you'll need to run some thin wire to the bracket so it doesn't fall down the inside of the wall all the time. I honestly can't believe how POORLY these are designed! Next time I EVER think about updating a wall mounted tp holder, I'll just remove the old one, drywall, tape, mud, texture and paint, then install a normal one! !! Holy cow what a rotten pain. Oh, good luck finding a good tutorial online ...they don't exist because this was designed by Satan! (Not really folks, but maybe? ) 2
